Pete Nappier, Martial Arts Hickory

Pete Nappier has been studying martial arts for over 53 years. In this episode on the Healthy AF podcast, Pete educates Amy and Fran on the fundamental principles of aikido, which means “a way of harmonizing energy”. He discusses how he uses this principle in his own life, with his students, and how he hopes to impact the lives of many more people by bringing this form of de-escalation to local schools. Pete is passionate about his Bully Buster program, which helps both the bullied and the bullies learn and utilize skills to decrease tension and avoid physical altercations.
