[00:00:27] We're going to be inspired and instructed.
[00:00:29] And Dad Gum, we're going to have a little fun on Healthy AF.
[00:00:33] Hey everybody, welcome to this episode of Healthy AF.
[00:00:40] I have had so much fun really working on this concept and I hope you appreciate it and have
[00:00:48] as much fun as I do with this one.
[00:00:51] So we're talking all about spirituality this month and it's something near and
[00:00:56] dear to my heart and it's so important.
[00:01:00] Gosh, it is so important as we wake up and live our lives the way we want them to be instead
[00:01:07] of just you know, where culture says we should or mama told us or our grandma did
[00:01:12] it or you know, whatever.
[00:01:15] And so I wanted to bring this to you and you can't have this insight.
[00:01:22] I don't believe without a spiritual or a larger picture underpinning, right?
[00:01:31] And here it is.
[00:01:33] I've learned over the last decade particularly that in every hardship in every situation
[00:01:45] that I do not like have not approved of, have fought against, kicked, screamed, thrown tantrums.
[00:01:57] In hindsight, there's something for me in that that has me grow.
[00:02:06] Not only grow, but develop in a way that serves me moving forward.
[00:02:16] I call it finding the nugget in the poop pop.
[00:02:22] Now here it is.
[00:02:25] I think most would say there's like a silver lining or you know, there's that one saying
[00:02:34] I used to hate this saying when God closes a door, he opens the window.
[00:02:38] I want to just throw punch somebody when I hear that especially because they usually
[00:02:42] said it when something was happening that I was really very irritated about not having
[00:02:49] it.
[00:02:52] But now at the ripe old age of 51, I really get that there is a nugget for me in each
[00:03:03] pile of poop.
[00:03:06] So here's my challenge for you.
[00:03:08] It's been an area of growth for me and I'll tell you what the benefit has been so you
[00:03:13] can decide if the benefit might be worth the challenge for you.
[00:03:18] And here it is.
[00:03:21] From the time the pile of poop hits you, how long does it take for you to go from
[00:03:29] I'm in a pile of poop and I don't like it to there's a nugget here for me.
[00:03:35] And I'll tell you, it used to take me about, you know, a good solid decade to go from
[00:03:43] my daughter was in the hospital to there was something there for me to learn.
[00:03:54] Now it takes me about 30 minutes from I don't like what is happening in my life to there's
[00:04:08] something for me to learn.
[00:04:11] And that's the challenge that I have for you today.
[00:04:15] You're noticing how long it takes you from I do not like this to there's something for
[00:04:25] me here.
[00:04:27] Now we talked in the last podcast about spirituality and fulfillment purpose and feeling connected
[00:04:34] and like you have, you are part of something bigger than you.
[00:04:39] You have a contribution, right?
[00:04:43] You can see how if you don't have that step in your health and wellness, there is a purpose
[00:04:51] that this whole there's a nugget in a poop pile just it's like you're, you know, it doesn't
[00:04:57] work.
[00:04:59] But if you can get step one, there is a moment and purpose and lock into that and
[00:05:07] becoming present to feeling that connectivity.
[00:05:13] And then you're, you're primed to go to okay, I'm in a poop pile right now.
[00:05:20] What is there that's coming to me that I'm really going to appreciate?
[00:05:28] So here's the benefit.
[00:05:32] The benefit of me getting to a spot where the minute my toes hit that squishy pile,
[00:05:40] I'm looking for the golden nugget for me to learn is that I feel more peaceful.
[00:05:48] I struggle less, I spend less time in worry and anxiety.
[00:05:57] And we're going to talk about that in part two of this podcast.
