BANKSY HOUSE RELISTED: As a follow up to Episode 19, Kathleen reports to listeners that the home originally for sale in Bristol, UK that found itself as the canvas for the latest new Banksy mural on the street wall was pulled off the market and then relisted. The owners of the home have reassessed the value and added protection measures so that the mural will be maintained by the new buyers.
HONEYBEES vs MURDER HORNETS: In continuing on with her reporting on Murder Hornets invading the US, Kathleen updates listeners that a Canadian study has determined honeybees using animal feces to ward off the invasive hornets, therefore protecting their hives from attack.
MEGA-CHURCHES FINANCIAL PRACTICES: As listeners know, Kathleen has a slight obsession regarding religious leaders, specifically those from megachurches. She provides an update on Jerry Falwell Jr, concluding that he dropped his lawsuit against Liberty University when he was investigated for mishandling tax-free funding aligned with the Church for use in ultra-conservative Republican initiatives.
Joel Olsteen’s Lakewood megachurch received over $4 million in COVID-19 relief grant funding, which Olsteen maintains was used to pay for employee salaries when in-person services were discontinued during the pandemic.
Kathleen announces her disgust to listeners when she reads that Marcus Lamb’s Dallas-based Daystar TV is forced to repay almost $4 million in COVID-19 relief when a national tv show uncovers that the money was used to purchase a private jet for the tax-exempt church, rather than the intended use of supporting unemployment initiated by the pandemic.
ANIMALS MOST LIKELY TO KILL YOU BY STATE: Kathleen continues with the new segment of the Pubcast: Animals Most Likely to Kill You (By State), as reported by the Center for Disease Control. If you live in Delaware beware of coyotes, and Florida advises that non-venomous insects, most notably mosquitoes, are most likely to cause animal-related death.
APOLOGETIC BURGLARS: Kathleen laughs with listeners when reading a recent Canadian news article involving a pair of burglars who break into the wrong home demanding payment for an outstanding debt, and then apologizing to the inhabitants and offering compensation for damages.
BID TO BLOW UP A CASINO: Kathleen squeals with excitement reading an article from Atlantic City, where Mayor Marty Small Sr. has announced that as a part of their annual charity auction, the city is offering the chance to bid to push the button that will set off the implosion of the now-closed Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino. Kathleen provides her own history of working in Atlantic City and the new casinos in the area including her new favorite outside of Philadelphia which is Parx Casino.
TOM CRUISE COVID MELTDOWN: Kathleen has never been a fan of Tom Cruise, but has a massive interest in Scientology. She discusses the latest meltdown by the actor on the set of “Mission Impossible 7” which caused at least 5 crew members to walk off due to his reported abusive behavior.
2020 BANKRUPT BUSINESSES YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW OF: Kathleen reads an article that showcases 30 US businesses that filed for bankruptcy in 2020, many citing the COVID-19 pandemic as the driver to slow sales. Kathleen reviews a few of these businesses in which she has been a consumer including Chuck E. Cheese, Bar Louie, and Pier 1 Imports, and offers alternative business plans to help with their future success.
HUMANITY’S READINESS FOR ALIENS: Kathleen reads an article just released out of Jerusalem, where a former Israeli Space Security Chief confirms the existence of aliens.
