[00:00:08] Hey everybody, it's me Kathleen Madigan. Welcome to Madigan's Pubcast. You grab yourself a drink, pull up a bar stool
[00:00:15] Let's talk about what's been going on
[00:00:24] T'cha Bites!
[00:00:25] Bye-ya! Episode 108! Isn't that crazy?
[00:00:29] Who would have thunked it? Um...
[00:00:33] Thank you termites for all the birthday wishes on Twitter and Instagram. I read probably 99.9% of them and
[00:00:40] That was in the middle of just a
[00:00:44] Facebook too. Don't forget Facebook. Um...
[00:00:47] Complete birthday fun madness.
[00:00:50] Cardinals game and we won an Albert Had a Home Run. Chop chop, we're in the wild card playoffs
[00:00:58] I made it on the jumbo trend
[00:01:01] That's always just tiny bit embarrassing. It's cool
[00:01:05] But I'd rather it be the person sitting next to me like where I could be in it
[00:01:09] But I don't don't lie just want to be on it and see myself, but I don't be the focus
[00:01:13] That was super fun. So thanks to the Cardinals for that and
[00:01:17] Then one turn the chelmo Tron than everyone in the stadium has my phone number sexing
[00:01:21] Well, I didn't know you were gonna be here like like my cousins were in a fancy suite above me
[00:01:27] And I didn't even know I have a shit ton of cousins but
[00:01:30] My cousins were in a fancy suite above me and so I went up there to steal free beer out of their suite
[00:01:36] Which was excellent
[00:01:40] He had a bunch of you my friend cousin he works with a bunch of union guys and he's like, yeah
[00:01:45] I think they've gone through a little bit more beer than I
[00:01:48] Said then you're allowed then you're supposed to have and then I got some golf clubs
[00:01:54] But more importantly so that right now the tour I'm on is called do you have any ranch?
[00:01:59] The next one is called box one in tiny banjos and my friend Hiney sent me the tiniest banjo
[00:02:04] Oh my god
[00:02:05] I know I don't even know where you would get this. It's the cutest goddamn thing I've ever seen
[00:02:11] It's adorable
[00:02:13] so
[00:02:16] and then
[00:02:18] Back to Nashville to see yelton John. Oh
[00:02:22] my god
[00:02:24] Cuz I I said to my friend Brian we should go right? I've never seen him neither Brian. It's his last
[00:02:29] It's his last deal ever he's retiring and I do believe him
[00:02:35] I mean he's 75 and at this point and he is adorable
[00:02:40] He he actually waddles like he when he walks he and then he had on like a tuxedo thing
[00:02:46] So he really looked like a penguin
[00:02:48] But his voice is it's not one bit different than
[00:02:53] Ever before and it's it's a shame. He's retiring, but I get it
[00:02:57] 75 the road and buddy the way he said it he goes well, I'm 75. I have to spend time with my family
[00:03:03] I feel like his husband was like guess what Pawpaw?
[00:03:07] This road bullshit because I think they have like 10 year old twins Google how old their kids are they they
[00:03:15] Well, I love your song but leave on was really really great
[00:03:20] And I don't necessarily love candle in the wind, but I did that night
[00:03:25] They don't
[00:03:28] Zachary's eight and Elijah's six well look at me just making that up
[00:03:31] I gave him twins and they know six and eight well. Yeah, you got to be home Pawpaw. You're 75
[00:03:37] What are we counting on 85? We got ten years that partner has been extremely patient
[00:03:44] The road will run your ragged
[00:03:46] So I'm happy for him that he's retiring but very sad and then in other
[00:03:51] Super sad music news right now, and I don't really have any of my Queen news
[00:03:55] Well, um Stevie 74 is out there killing it if you follow her on Instagram the Stevie Nicks official whatever
[00:04:02] She's out there on the road tearing it up quiet these people all been quiet
[00:04:08] This Queen though I don't have a cutout of Loretta Lynn, but she just died
[00:04:13] And well she's 90
[00:04:17] I
[00:04:19] Have a story about getting hillbillied once to buy Loretta Lynn
[00:04:22] I'll forgive her for it, but not personal on a concert deal
[00:04:26] So when they had that flood in Waverly, Tennessee, they had a big
[00:04:30] Fundraiser at the Grand Ole Opry and again my friend Brian little dwarf. I said Dwarf. I've never seen it said Loretta Lynn and friends
[00:04:39] Now I knew she was old
[00:04:40] But I thought well this is her people her ranch hand her favorite person got sucked away in the flood and died
[00:04:46] Like this was a personal thing to her
[00:04:49] So he's like I've never seen her either so it was very hard to get a ticket um and somehow dwarf squirrel
[00:04:56] tickets and we went and
[00:05:00] Loretta Lynn wasn't there
[00:05:02] It was every day somebody blew it. I mean it was a great show
[00:05:07] I was still great, you know it but it's the regular ones
[00:05:10] You think you're gonna see if you go to Nashville shows Vince Gill carry underpants, you know the whole the same crap
[00:05:17] all very great performers, but
[00:05:19] Somebody came out second said miss Loren miss letter real
[00:05:25] Miss Lynn sends her love from her ranch and I'm like what a ranch. No, no, she's supposed to be here tonight
[00:05:32] What the fuck what why I?
[00:05:35] Totally got hillbilly that poster says Loretta. It doesn't say Loretta Lynn's friends
[00:05:41] It says Loretta Lynn and friends
[00:05:44] How about crystal galer little sister could she come nope?
[00:05:49] Nope, she didn't make it either. It was a big night. There was a lot of great people
[00:05:54] But we were also in the middle of all the flood people the relatives of the victims so it was super sad
[00:05:59] Yeah, and then yeah
[00:06:03] Well to fundraiser, you know, I'm not really like
[00:06:07] Yeah, they showed a lot of videos in it
[00:06:09] But she died miss Loretta Lynn, but she did get to die at her house in a hurricane mills
[00:06:14] That's where her ranch is because I had heard through some people that she was mostly in Nashville these days because of her
[00:06:21] Health needs there's not a lot
[00:06:23] Hurricane mills like halfway between Nashville and Memphis
[00:06:26] kind of it'd be a haul to get to a doctor as
[00:06:30] I am discovering with my parents. Can we please live closer to medical attention?
[00:06:35] I will think my parents would stay closer to medical attention if there was a medical building within a casino
[00:06:47] Then they do it. I'm like you're gonna live in room
[00:06:50] I'm gonna get you a suite in 704 at Harrah's or the casino queen and then your doctors are gonna be right down the hall
[00:06:59] anyway, um
[00:07:01] In a statement provided the Associated Press is she died her own Tuesday. She said good. She got to die in a ranch
[00:07:07] Oh, Cole Miner's daughter you guys know this if your younger termites Google her and then go listen to her songs
[00:07:13] And then what's really weird though, and I think anybody knows it. I think Crystal Gale had more number one hits
[00:07:19] Yep, I don't I'm not sure of that
[00:07:22] We'll look it up
[00:07:25] She had
[00:07:27] 16 number one country country singles and won the Grammy Awards. I read her book her husband do little I
[00:07:34] Didn't think much do little but she sure did
[00:07:37] She was born in Butcher Holler, Kentucky
[00:07:39] I'm always making butcher holler sound like it's the most backward part of the United States
[00:07:42] And I think maybe it is she wrote in her autobiography
[00:07:48] Do little he was a piece of work
[00:07:51] She did love him. No, she even put him in her commercials. I'm like, oh my god
[00:07:56] Exactly. Can you leave the lady alone? Can she just go to work without you? Is that possible?
[00:08:01] I did love this one song don't come home and drinking with loving on your mind
[00:08:07] You ain't gonna jump me you drunk little troll
[00:08:12] Oh, oh, I never heard of this song in 1968 she recorded a song your squaw is on the warpath
[00:08:21] I'm gonna have to go play
[00:08:23] Oh
[00:08:28] She had a stroke it's a she had a stroke five years ago, but but she kind of came back from pretty good at least on the
[00:08:36] Interviews I've seen and stuff, but you know, what do you want more than 90?
[00:08:39] That's a good life, right?
[00:08:42] It was sad though because at least one of her kids died Jack a drown
[00:08:47] What there's a picture of her dressed up like an Indian she's supposed to be a squaw
[00:08:55] On the cover of the
[00:08:58] Yeah
[00:09:02] Okay, that's all the Queen news that's all the oh what am I eating a drink of well
[00:09:06] I'm in honor of St. Louis a little St. Louis
[00:09:09] Treat time since I was there for a while
[00:09:13] Up in the city that are the old larks or nice feel um
[00:09:18] Last seltzer of the season. Yeah
[00:09:21] We're getting beyond that now. It's too cold for that
[00:09:25] Back to be your Jameson nothing better in the winter than Jameson
[00:09:29] Um, and then I have some emo salad dressing. I tried to bring home
[00:09:34] a corned beef sandwich from McGurk's
[00:09:38] because it's the best one I've ever eaten in my life but TSA wouldn't have any of that shit and
[00:09:43] I'm like, come on, but it was already half-eaten. She probably just thought I was like a troll
[00:09:47] I don't and I didn't feel like arguing
[00:09:49] But I did sneak home some emails dressing but emails pizza my favorite pizza in the whole world and acquired taste
[00:09:58] Great dressing and the dressing is so good. It's just and then look at these things that
[00:10:04] We found cheetos bolitos
[00:10:08] chili and cheese
[00:10:10] Flavored with chili a queso
[00:10:13] Cheetos bolitos. Let's see. I don't think you should mess up a cheeto with chili though. I'm a traditionalist
[00:10:21] All right, they changed my mind. I love them. Holy shit
[00:10:29] These could get really out of hand because they taste like you're eating air, but I'm sure it's a million calories
[00:10:36] Really good
[00:10:39] Hmm
[00:10:41] Really good. Um, all right moving on
[00:10:45] Where did it drink everywhere? I drink everywhere
[00:10:55] I bought dragon ball carcassin's
[00:10:58] Yeah, it's all that either in Sulaert or downtown
[00:11:03] Just corner taverns just corner taverns like their brick corner
[00:11:10] You know nothing fancy
[00:11:15] Ballpark village is super fun if you ever go to st. Louis, you're gonna go to a hard-null game
[00:11:19] You don't even have to have a ticket
[00:11:21] Honestly, well, let's say you don't want to pay for a ticket to get inside. There's giant free screens outside everywhere
[00:11:28] There's beer stands set up everywhere and drinks. There's wine. It's out there's not stuff
[00:11:32] You don't even have to go in a bar and you could just watch the game and there's giant picnic tables
[00:11:37] They've made it so nice down there
[00:11:39] Yeah, it's actually super duper fun. It's not like you just go to the park go to the ball game and
[00:11:44] You can they also deep redid. I think I already talked about this though
[00:11:48] They redid the entire arch area so you don't have to cross highway 70 and die to get to the arch and then underneath it
[00:11:55] There's a brand new museum and there's a lot to do downtown
[00:11:59] So there's my sales pitch
[00:12:01] For saying lost yet update
[00:12:04] Boom we're moving on all no
[00:12:07] Back to Anna Dolby
[00:12:10] Anasorica
[00:12:11] We all know however you listen to this podcast. She's the one feature on a Netflix
[00:12:15] As being the con man, here's another thing though. I've started watching. I'm not gonna talk too much about it
[00:12:21] This thing called puppet master. It's on Netflix. It's about this guy in England who claimed he was an M
[00:12:26] What's their CIA M 15 and 15 agent? He conned all these people out of money
[00:12:33] He's full of shit. He's actually very I think super dangerous. I haven't seen the answer
[00:12:37] I'm not gonna get into it. But what I have learned same thing with Anna and Elizabeth Holmes
[00:12:44] Getting adults to do what you want is not necessarily a crime
[00:12:51] You know and that's the sad part if you're over the age 18 and you give people everything in your bank account
[00:12:58] They didn't really steal it con man
[00:13:02] Is the one crime? I think you can get away with still because you can say hey, man
[00:13:07] I don't she just that chick just gave me all the money that guy gave me all the money
[00:13:11] I didn't steal anything. She took it out of her bank
[00:13:15] anyway, Anna
[00:13:16] She was very good at getting donations for her projects that didn't exist
[00:13:23] And I made the mistake of lying to a bank you can't do that
[00:13:27] That's where she threw her own stuff under the bus. Anyway, she's still up in the
[00:13:32] deportation center
[00:13:34] Waitin on her next hearing
[00:13:37] She says ex lawyer for Anna Sorak and is withholding deportation hearing records
[00:13:45] That's what Anna saying
[00:13:48] She's asking a judge to hold her in contempt for allegedly withholding recordings over deportation hearings and some of her personal belongings
[00:13:57] The 31 year old so how good I was a subject of the Netflix show inventing Anna
[00:14:02] Says lawyers. Audrey Thomas is violating a July 27th. Call on that she transfer all files of Sorak and
[00:14:10] To her new lawyer, but I'll get some found
[00:14:14] The lady sent by the way if you don't know what I'm doing, that's her
[00:14:17] I'm doing my impression of the accent of
[00:14:20] Whoever who's awesome who did I watch Julia?
[00:14:24] Gardner played her in the thing
[00:14:26] But I have seen real interviews with her on YouTube and she her accents vary because she's like a social path
[00:14:31] The lawyer had sent two patch batches of documents on August 8th and 9th to the new lawyer. She allegedly
[00:14:39] hasn't turned over any of the digital ordering
[00:14:42] Audio recordings of Sorak and immigration court hearings nor did the packages can say contain any of her personal belongings
[00:14:49] The lawyer says that she provided all the documents and has proof that she did
[00:14:55] Sorak and says Thomas has a vendetta against her for calling her an ungrateful bitch in the media
[00:15:02] She's made Sorak and it's previously made similar accusations against Thomas in her criminal case
[00:15:07] But the judge and she started her to file a separate lawsuit in order to pursue a contempt order against Thomas the court papers say
[00:15:14] Thomas told the
[00:15:16] The media that if Sorak and civil attorney would invest his time in getting documents from immigration
[00:15:22] He would have scared scared them months ago, but this is all part of his plan to blame me for his failure
[00:15:29] Yeah, I don't know about all that. I think she just stirs up shit to try to delay things speaking of which guess who else I
[00:15:40] Don't know what I do with that paperclip. What does my thought if my paperclip on this folks? I keep on things organized
[00:15:47] I have a lot of paper clips
[00:15:51] Elizabeth Holmes locks out again
[00:15:54] Yep
[00:15:55] A judge agrees to delay her sentencing
[00:15:58] over prosecutor
[00:15:59] misconduct concerns a judge a judge on monday agreed to delay sentencing
[00:16:05] Former theranos ceo, elizabeth holmes. Uh, I mean elizabeth holmes
[00:16:10] Everybody put on your deepest voice possible
[00:16:13] To try to do your impression of elizabeth
[00:16:17] US district judge edward devalia had scheduled holmes is sentencing for october 17th
[00:16:23] But in january in january a jury had found holmes guilty on four of 11 counts of defrauding investors in the former health care tech company
[00:16:31] With each count carrying a maximum sentence of 20 years
[00:16:34] But over the summer former lab theranos director adam rosendorf allegedly appeared at holmes's house to express regret over his testimony
[00:16:42] Saying the government tried to make everyone quote look bad
[00:16:48] That led holmes's attorney to request a new trial last month
[00:16:51] Nonetheless devalia agreed to hold a new hearing on october 17th to question rosendorf calling the accusations against the federal prosecutors
[00:17:01] Limited but serious
[00:17:03] Well, that makes me think maybe she ain't getting off them. It limited
[00:17:08] How many what do you mean? You went over there? What did the feds do?
[00:17:12] The allegation is possibly that the government may have engaged in misconduct
[00:17:16] This court takes this that seriously should devalia agree to hold up the verdict holmes's new sentencing
[00:17:22] Hearing could come as late as january, but she's out
[00:17:25] Right now enjoying life
[00:17:29] In july yep
[00:17:30] In july the partner sonny balwani the former president chief operating officer of theranos is in holmes's former romantic partner
[00:17:37] Was found guilty of all 12 counts of fraud. He's set to be sentenced november 15th. Well, happy Thanksgiving, sonny
[00:17:44] Your ass is gonna be in prison
[00:17:47] The theranos has gone. Um, it's gotten international attention. Blah blah blah was worth nine billion at one time
[00:17:53] Blah blah blah, but the whole thing was never viable and it never even worked
[00:17:57] But see this is just
[00:18:00] I hope the feds didn't fuck it up because she should be in prison too. Yeah, that's just my
[00:18:06] opinion
[00:18:07] Is anybody else anybody else just great?
[00:18:09] I
[00:18:14] Guess what they don't have in prison cheeto bolitos
[00:18:17] Um, here's a guy who's going to prison up there right?
[00:18:23] capital rioter a one-man wrecking ball
[00:18:28] Get seven years in prison see
[00:18:32] I sat here on january 6 and watched the whole thing live
[00:18:36] Texted all my comedian friends even the ones who aren't news people
[00:18:41] Said turn on your tv
[00:18:43] It's going down. It's going down
[00:18:46] A judge sentenced a capital rioter seven years in prison tuesday calling the iowa man a one-man wrecking ball who helped
[00:18:53] Yep, who helped in his sustained assault on a police officer judge. Amy bermann jackson
[00:18:59] That sounds like something from one of those movies like judging Amy or one of those shows
[00:19:04] Yeah
[00:19:07] Um, she sentence kyle young in u.s. District court in washington to the long term
[00:19:13] Noting that he had admitted to helping in the assault of a police officer in january 6
[00:19:17] She gave him credit for the 17 months
[00:19:19] He's been held since his arrest meaning he will probably serve six more years in prison
[00:19:24] All of this for what for one day for one man
[00:19:28] You don't even know and he wouldn't help you in a hot fucking minute
[00:19:33] Maybe they think he would
[00:19:35] I don't
[00:19:37] I I think
[00:19:38] He would sit home and eat chito bellito's
[00:19:41] I love them. Yeah
[00:19:44] You were a one-man wrecking ball that day of jackson said
[00:19:47] The sentences is among the longest handed down so far in the deadly capital riot
[00:19:52] Which halted the certification of joe biden's we know all this
[00:19:55] The harshest sentence of 10 years was given to a former that we already talked about that guy
[00:20:00] The new the old the former new york cop
[00:20:02] He assaulted
[00:20:04] A cop at the capital with a metal flagpole
[00:20:09] Young this guy kyle young cried as he apologized
[00:20:12] To the officer and said he wished he could take back his actions of that day. I hope someday you forgive me
[00:20:17] The cop who got hurt by this guy said
[00:20:20] He had a near-death experience
[00:20:21] He endured at the hands of the writers in which he was beaten and repeatedly shocked with a stun gun
[00:20:26] young admitted to handing
[00:20:29] A stun gun to another writer who used it. Yeah
[00:20:33] And he also admitted to grabbing the officer's hand as he struggled to protect himself from the attacking mob
[00:20:39] The attack ended this guy's career as a cop
[00:20:42] He told young that he should get 10 years in prison. What I hope you do at that time is I hope you suffer
[00:20:47] Oh
[00:20:49] Yeah
[00:20:51] Um
[00:20:54] He originally faced more than a dozen charges, but it charges
[00:20:57] But entered a plea of a single charge of assault of an officer. He went to the capital with his 16 year old son
[00:21:04] And a
[00:21:05] And video played by federal prosecutors indicated young took part in a fight on the capitals lower west west terrace
[00:21:11] Including at one point throwing a heavy speaker that hit another writer drawing blood
[00:21:16] He used a strobe light to impair officers vision and at one point
[00:21:20] Gave it to his son allowing him to directly participate in the fighting a point the judge used to illustrate her disgusted his actions that day
[00:21:28] Then he's got three years of unsupervised
[00:21:30] under supervised
[00:21:33] Uh
[00:21:34] Which call it
[00:21:35] Afterwards
[00:21:36] So he's got three more years of probation when he's done
[00:21:39] You're the one one of the most serious ones in my caseload
[00:21:42] She said you were personally involved and instrumental to one of the most horrific tax on officers
[00:21:46] Incased in the building. I seldom in my years on the bench have been presented with anything like this
[00:21:52] see
[00:21:54] Justice go slowly
[00:21:56] But eventually it comes
[00:21:59] Not for everyone
[00:22:01] But for the iowa the iowa one man wrecking ball
[00:22:08] Um
[00:22:09] update
[00:22:10] zuckerberg
[00:22:12] I know you tired of this story paddles, but it's important
[00:22:17] It's very important
[00:22:19] They're gonna cut headcount
[00:22:21] To cut headcount for the first time slash budgets across teams for meta
[00:22:26] Metas dragging him down
[00:22:29] Nobody wants to play
[00:22:31] In his new game
[00:22:33] Is metaverse they announced this is just uh september 29th
[00:22:36] They announced sweeping plans to reorganize teams and reduce headcount for the first time ever calling an end to the era
[00:22:43] Of rapid growth at the social media giant
[00:22:46] You know what he should have done
[00:22:48] Now he's clearly way smarter than me
[00:22:50] But for a lady in cheetah bolitos
[00:22:53] I would have said
[00:22:55] Facebook is still growing mostly in
[00:22:59] Underdeveloped nations
[00:23:02] I'm not doing that
[00:23:03] I'm saying
[00:23:05] Facebook itself
[00:23:07] Just at the app of facebook is still growing not a lot, but it's growing
[00:23:11] I would think the children
[00:23:13] It's the underdeveloped nations that are just getting it
[00:23:16] And then they all sign up
[00:23:17] But eventually you're gonna run out of those people too. We're gonna hit the well anyway
[00:23:23] I would have just made facebook better
[00:23:26] Instead of creating meta
[00:23:29] um
[00:23:30] Because there's a lot of shit people don't like about facebook
[00:23:33] The privacy setting stuff my parents would never even care about or understand
[00:23:36] They don't even know what they're doing. They just want to see pictures of grandkids
[00:23:39] But for people who use it for work
[00:23:41] I mean, I've tried to communicate them for my work page
[00:23:45] Forget it
[00:23:46] Email there's no phone number. You're never speaking to anyone. There's not even live message chats
[00:23:51] It's email. It's bullshit. Like you just eventually go
[00:23:56] I don't know. I don't want to use it. I've tried sometimes I try to give a venue access to
[00:24:00] My fan page so they can post off that
[00:24:03] I don't know. It just won't work. Nope. Nope
[00:24:06] Sometimes it works, but anyway
[00:24:08] That's the long story stupid story
[00:24:10] Metastock
[00:24:12] Fell further on down the news from uh, the shares have fallen 60 percent this year
[00:24:19] 6 0
[00:24:23] Um
[00:24:25] There's a couple new things in here around
[00:24:27] Um
[00:24:29] Priorities
[00:24:31] Internally include reels
[00:24:34] Metastick tack they don't competitor
[00:24:36] which
[00:24:37] um, it's owned by a chinese company
[00:24:42] As of um, they've added 57 new people 100 new hires in the second quarter, but that's way down from normal
[00:24:50] Because I just don't think
[00:24:53] The facebook scrambles to escape the stock's death spiral as users flee
[00:24:59] sales drop
[00:25:01] mm-hmm
[00:25:03] A year ago before facebook had turned to meta the social media company was sporting a cap of 1 trillion
[00:25:08] Putting it in a rarefied territory with the us of handful tech giants today. It looks so much different
[00:25:14] Um, how long ago investors are not enthusiastic about uh, meta
[00:25:19] Well the company
[00:25:21] and
[00:25:22] The way they're dumping the stocks says some observers questioning if the downward pressure is actually a death spiral
[00:25:29] From which meta cannot recover
[00:25:31] I'm not sure there. Yeah, I'm not sure there's a core business that works anymore at facebook said laura martin of needom
[00:25:37] The only analyst among 45 tracked by the fact set with a sell rating on the stock
[00:25:43] Mm-hmm
[00:25:45] Nobody's suggesting they're going out of business. However, the company still has a dominant position in the mobile advertising
[00:25:51] Um and has one of the most profitable business models on the planet
[00:25:55] Even with the 36 drop from last quarter they generated 7.6 billion dollars in profit and ended with 40 billion
[00:26:02] um
[00:26:03] In cash and marketable
[00:26:06] securities
[00:26:07] The company's slowest growth forever do was 2020
[00:26:11] There was something else so meta has been trying to mimic tick tock with reels now. I tried reels
[00:26:17] Well, it told me I can make 1200
[00:26:20] It's a trick. I'm telling you guys because I did it now. I don't do it anymore
[00:26:24] So the first couple videos they paid me like 35 bucks. I was like
[00:26:29] And then the next one's got like seven cents
[00:26:32] I'm like, well, what happened? Do you not like those ones later?
[00:26:36] And they're like, oh, you may notice that your first videos will pay a lot more than the rest to get everybody going
[00:26:42] I'm like, no. Yes. It's a trick and I fell for it and now I put all my
[00:26:47] more information in
[00:26:49] That I got of somehow undo which will never happen. You'd be easier to change banks in a foreign country
[00:26:56] um
[00:26:57] Met has been trying to mimic tick tock success with short video offering called reels, which has been a major focus
[00:27:03] Across facebook and instagram they plan to increase the amount of algorithmically
[00:27:08] recommended short
[00:27:10] Algorithmically
[00:27:12] Too hard
[00:27:14] um
[00:27:17] Recommended short videos and users instagram feeds from 15 to 35 whatever. This is all tech shit
[00:27:23] They acknowledge they acknowledge that it's early days for monetizing reels
[00:27:27] And it's not yet clear how well the format works for our advertisers
[00:27:31] But I don't know how you make money on tick tock either except ads
[00:27:34] I don't even really do tick tock every once while I throw something up. I like to look at it though
[00:27:40] Um
[00:27:42] So that's the problem the children have gone
[00:27:46] To the ticky tock and I don't think you're gonna get them back
[00:27:54] So
[00:27:57] The housewives have to yeah, I have a lot of friends that for certain things
[00:28:02] Like my friend, Nicole likes recipes and cooking and all that so then she just builds her own
[00:28:08] Algorithmically based feed if you will
[00:28:13] Holy shit
[00:28:20] This bargain hunter
[00:28:21] Will
[00:28:24] sederi
[00:28:26] He accidentally bought a 700 year old medieval manuscript
[00:28:32] For 75 bucks. I know these are the people you see on antique roadshow and you're like
[00:28:38] None of this has ever happened to me. I buy a shitty golf bag for my dad and garage. I get home
[00:28:42] It's a shitty golf bag
[00:28:44] Sometimes if you buy golf bags at garage sales, if it's an old
[00:28:48] Person, it's sad because their partner probably died and they're not thinking about taking the shit out of the golf bag
[00:28:53] But you just find tiny bottles of whiskey
[00:28:56] Golf teas nothing. You're right. Um
[00:29:01] A bargain hunter who went to an estate sale in maine
[00:29:04] to find and then my
[00:29:07] I don't really know what he was looking for the thing cut off but uh
[00:29:12] He he found a frame document hanging on a wall
[00:29:15] It had elaborate script in latin along with musical notes and gold flourishes
[00:29:20] a sticker said
[00:29:22] The year 1285 ad based on what he'd seen in manuscripts classes at colby college
[00:29:29] Manuscript classes. Well, I never heard about that
[00:29:32] I would go that'd be awesome like the book of kells and shit. Is that what we're talking about?
[00:29:37] The document looked downright medieval and it was a bargain at 75 dollars and academics confirmed that the parchment was from the
[00:29:45] Bovet missile used in the bovet cathedral in france and dated to the 13th century
[00:29:51] It was used about 700 years ago in roman catholic worship
[00:29:55] And they basically it's a missile it
[00:29:57] They said an expert on manuscripts said the document first reported by the main monitor could be as worth as much as 10 000
[00:30:04] For 75 bucks. That's quite a thing
[00:30:06] After spying the unusual manuscript, uh, he contacted his former professor
[00:30:11] The professor reached out to another academic and they quickly confirmed the authenticity
[00:30:16] The parchment paper was part of a prayer book
[00:30:19] And priest liturgy said so and so lisa so and so
[00:30:24] Um, it was once owned by william randolph hearse the newspaper publisher
[00:30:29] Yeah before being sold in the 40s must as a consternation of today's academics. It was divvied up into individual pages
[00:30:35] Anyway, um, he's gonna keep it. He's no intention of selling it
[00:30:41] Uh
[00:30:42] This is something at the end of the day
[00:30:43] I didn't tell somebody that I didn't know was cool
[00:30:46] And I didn't buy this expecting to sell it good for you, sir
[00:30:52] You got it if you sold it for 10 000. It's probably worth more than that
[00:30:56] A medieval come on. Yeah
[00:30:59] Holy shit, they might have found it
[00:31:03] Well, I saw the headline and i'm like, okay a prominent
[00:31:07] Um, egyptologist says he's discovered the lost queen mummy the lost
[00:31:16] He does history in egypt
[00:31:21] No archaeological egyptologists
[00:31:24] Yeah, he is
[00:31:27] Yes, it is. It's a real job
[00:31:30] It was on indeed didn't you see it? It was on indeed
[00:31:34] Looking for someone who's extensive knowledge about queen nefertiti. How about king tug?
[00:31:40] The egyptologist
[00:31:43] He is and he's prominent paddles
[00:31:47] He's not one from craigslist. He had a real resume and he was on indeed
[00:31:51] He is he claims he's discovered
[00:31:54] the lost mummy of queen nefertiti
[00:31:57] Oh
[00:31:59] A prominent egyptologist has boldly claimed to have solved
[00:32:03] One archaeologic one of one archaeological greatest mysteries the location of queen nefertiti's mummified remains
[00:32:11] Zahi Hawass
[00:32:13] the previous
[00:32:15] minister for state
[00:32:17] Minister of state for antiquities affairs in egypt
[00:32:21] See he's had a lot of real jobs paddles. Yes. He's part of the egypt led
[00:32:27] Team that undertook a high profile evacuation of luxor's valley of the kings that allegedly
[00:32:32] Uncovered amulets once amulets once owned by king tut the team in outlets last december that they'd also honor several
[00:32:39] Unnamed mummies one of which hawass believes is the famed ruler queen nefertiti
[00:32:45] We have dna from the 18th century dynasty mummies
[00:32:49] From akentan. I can't say their name and
[00:32:53] more
[00:32:54] Of the people
[00:32:56] you know
[00:32:57] More king tuts in october we will be able to announce the discovery of the mummy
[00:33:02] Of tuken hamans wife and her mother
[00:33:05] nefertiti
[00:33:06] Love it
[00:33:07] There's also a tomb of a 10 year old boy
[00:33:10] If that child is the brother of tut and the son of
[00:33:14] akentan
[00:33:16] The problem posed by nefertiti will still be solved
[00:33:19] Now there's a lot of people that disagree
[00:33:22] They don't think it's her they don't think it's an egyptologist. Well, we'll know later this month
[00:33:27] I
[00:33:28] She only ruled for three years, but she got so famous
[00:33:31] um
[00:33:33] Some most recently in our a different archaeologist nicolas reeves proposed that the egyptian queen was hiding in a concealed chamber
[00:33:39] In the large tomb of king tutt which was on earth in 1990 1922 more controversial theory first
[00:33:47] Publicized in 2003 claims. She was one of three unnamed mummies found within the tomb of ferro amin hopped up
[00:33:53] Both theories have been dismissed by an egypt's ministry of culture
[00:33:58] This guy's faced the face of some other courtesans too
[00:34:04] It's a maybe
[00:34:06] But he is not joking around this guy is for real
[00:34:11] Sounds like he's kind of a big mouth though. Yeah, and there's a lot of people were like hey, let's just slow down on that
[00:34:18] Holy shit, they might have found it
[00:34:22] This could technically be in the news section, but it's a maybe found it
[00:34:26] This is going to take all of your termites going on youtube to judge for yourself
[00:34:32] It'll be in the schnotes and for those who keep saying what's a schnote. It's a show note
[00:34:37] abbreviated
[00:34:39] Man claims new webcams installed at the famous Loch Ness Lake have recorded nessie moving about
[00:34:48] Let me tell you what
[00:34:50] Here's what I will say. I have watched the videos repeatedly
[00:34:55] There's definitely something doing it
[00:34:58] I don't know what
[00:35:00] Because you don't ever it doesn't come out like this little statue on my desk
[00:35:03] He doesn't come out with a hump and a giant long neck, but there is something enormous
[00:35:09] Causing whatever and he got a flat day because I don't want to um
[00:35:14] Bragg about travels, but I have been to Loch Ness
[00:35:18] with mr. Senior
[00:35:20] senior noir
[00:35:22] luigi black
[00:35:24] Lewis black
[00:35:28] He would love a cheeto belito, um
[00:35:31] We went on Loch Ness and
[00:35:33] On a barge thing and you go all the way up. Here's the weird thing about that like
[00:35:38] It is extremely windy
[00:35:40] There's a lot of gray hues
[00:35:43] And then usually the sky is gray usually not all the time
[00:35:48] It casts so many different
[00:35:50] Apparitions apparitions whatever that you don't really know what the fuck you're looking at. I don't know if they're waves
[00:35:58] Or yeah, but anyway an Irishman who's also a Loch Ness enthusiast
[00:36:03] Claims to have spotted the creature in footage recorded a newly installed webcams at the famous lake
[00:36:08] This is how we are going to find it if we're ever going to find it and this man must be my spirit animal
[00:36:15] Because he thinks it's just a large eel so do I
[00:36:18] The mad at it the man added that the second sighting from september 15th
[00:36:23] Exists thanks to shorthand lodges webcam. So he's given credit to other webcams
[00:36:31] We all heard stories about Loch Ness monster movie kids, but looks like these stories were not fictional but real
[00:36:36] an Irishman who's also to Loch Ness
[00:36:40] He's he installed webcams at the lake on I guess on his own
[00:36:44] The avid enthusiast
[00:36:46] O'Faggan is his last name captured two clips of a giant eel-like shapes moving on the water surface
[00:36:53] And it's a flat day, which I've never I mean I only saw that lake for three days, but I never once saw it flat
[00:37:00] um
[00:37:01] The man is mostly looking for pieces of evidence at Loch Ness monsters via webcam
[00:37:05] But now he's focused on the webcam footage
[00:37:07] He's telling people about it the existence of these monsters
[00:37:09] He talked to the daily record regarding his findings and he said I captured two very interesting video clips on two of the new webcams
[00:37:15] recently the first at the clansman webcam
[00:37:19] um
[00:37:20] uh
[00:37:21] Not clansman like kkk like clan like Scottish clan seal ahead
[00:37:26] Um, then he tells you there's a water disturbance in a long dark shape was recorded for four minutes
[00:37:32] It was the only dark and water visible in the recording of the lock at that time
[00:37:36] That's why it's kind of believable. Something's doing it
[00:37:40] And just in that one spot so it can't be
[00:37:44] I don't know. I don't think it could be wind or rain
[00:37:48] A second sighting
[00:37:50] Oh, that one's the other one
[00:37:51] He said an object
[00:37:53] Visibly appears on the left near the shore and moves steadily to the right of the screen and out of the webcam coverage
[00:37:58] The object is black and long and in the region of six to eight feet long like an eel
[00:38:02] Or a very uh large or giant
[00:38:06] One it's dark black colors break the surface occasionally and it moves to the right
[00:38:11] The man has said to believe that the theory opposed to bup bup bup, uh, they think they think it's a giant eel
[00:38:16] Um
[00:38:18] And there's a lot of people that agree. He's a 57 year old guy
[00:38:21] He's made multiple trips to scotland to try and track the monster
[00:38:24] He made his first sighting back in 87 and he stated that he submitted the other two
[00:38:28] Sightings to the official Loch Ness monster sightings register. Well, I didn't know that registry
[00:38:32] I didn't know that existed. I'll be signing up for that today
[00:38:36] What else are you doing? Well, I should be packing for where Rochester Ithaca bup bup bup, but instead
[00:38:42] I'll be signing up for this website. Excellent. Yeah
[00:38:45] Good good choice. Um, okay. We're moving on to news
[00:38:51] This is for my upers my upper peninsula people who will be featured prominently in my next special on amazon
[00:38:59] No, I have a joke about them, but uh
[00:39:02] michigan
[00:39:04] One in a million
[00:39:05] They have a photo of it
[00:39:08] spirit bear
[00:39:13] It's white
[00:39:15] Yeah, an extremely rare white spirit bear spotted in michigan's upper peninsula may have an uncertain future
[00:39:20] As people are disgusting killing it in hunting season. No, they don't
[00:39:25] learn from
[00:39:27] native americans
[00:39:29] They would never have killed it. It's very bad luck. You can't kill it
[00:39:34] There's a speculation over the past couple days that the bear is already dead after being attacked by wolves. So it's considered unlikely
[00:39:40] Yeah, who decided that?
[00:39:43] Oh, I bet it's that I kind of better got to eat my wolves. Well, how the fuck do you know that?
[00:39:47] There's not even one sign of that
[00:39:49] The white bear known as spirit bear is actually a rare type of black bear with only white or creamy fur and paws due to its
[00:39:54] Genetic makeup it is thought that the it is thought that only around a hundred of them exist
[00:39:59] A hundred?
[00:40:00] Yep, that's according to the north american bear society
[00:40:05] Most spirit bears live on the princess royale and gribble islands along the coast of british columbia canada
[00:40:12] With some rare exceptions elsewhere
[00:40:15] Uh-huh from september 4 to 6 a white bear was spotted on a trail came they have pictures of it
[00:40:21] It's beautiful
[00:40:23] Usually these things get eaten on their own
[00:40:25] Because they're highly visible. They have the wrong color. They don't blend in anything
[00:40:31] No reason to kill it
[00:40:33] The photos were shared on social media
[00:40:35] They received hundreds of comments on the uber outdoors hashtag 906 facebook group
[00:40:42] I'm gonna join that too
[00:40:44] Somebody wrote that would make an awesome mount or rug
[00:40:50] If a person wants to tag use the tag they purchase on a legal animal then they can they do not need your permission
[00:40:56] Then somebody said let him grow that beautiful mount a few more years. Why do we have to kill it?
[00:41:02] My dad haunts i'm familiar with hunting my brother's hunt. I get hunting but
[00:41:06] This one's special
[00:41:08] But I don't know I would believe the native americans is bad luck. That's all I need to hear
[00:41:13] Many other hunters urge people to leave the bear alone. I'm all about bear hunting
[00:41:17] I really do hope my other hunters can see the beauty in this rare beauty and let them go
[00:41:21] Nothing this magnificent ever needs to be taken as a trophy right? I'm with those people
[00:41:27] Now i'm gonna get shitty mail from
[00:41:29] hunters
[00:41:31] Which i'll go forward to my dad
[00:41:33] uh
[00:41:35] michigan's hunting season this year runs september 7th october 26 with some variation between districts blah blah blah
[00:41:42] Uh, there's no protections in place. Um, you can't it's illegal to shoot
[00:41:48] Uh
[00:41:49] You in british clumb you cannot shoot him. There's no rules in michigan about it though
[00:41:55] And what are you gonna do?
[00:41:57] I hope he hides well
[00:41:59] Two months hide your white ass
[00:42:01] Yep, literally
[00:42:05] Yeah, but he's probably out looking for his food before he goes into hibernation
[00:42:10] um
[00:42:12] Here's some news for adults
[00:42:15] I thought about it too
[00:42:17] I think I would do it
[00:42:19] First I was like, oh that's stupid and I was like well
[00:42:22] McDonald's is releasing new happy meals for adults
[00:42:26] To recreate one of the most quote nostalgic experiences. Yes
[00:42:31] I'm mad at mcdonald's for switching the fries
[00:42:34] I know but you know they were like all these ones are too dangerous
[00:42:38] I think you should be able to go on mcdonald's and if you weigh within 20 pounds of what you're supposed to
[00:42:41] You can have the old fries
[00:42:43] And then if you don't or you got to bring some health records in and say give me the old ones
[00:42:49] Well, I would do it
[00:42:50] Everybody's got a portal show me your portal. Okay, you can have the fries
[00:42:56] But anyway
[00:42:57] Um, you're never too old for a happy meal at least that's what mcdonald's is making on fast food juggernaut this week announced plans to
[00:43:04] Introduce adult oriented meals complete with a free toy

[00:43:34] McDonald's mascots a hamburger
[00:43:37] And birdie as well as a cactus buddy or grimace
[00:43:43] I did like the hamburger
[00:43:45] um, but
[00:43:47] But they put a big back in there. Where did it go?
[00:43:49] um
[00:43:51] It's adult. It's like the adult thing. I would just eat a kid one. I've never eaten a big back in my life
[00:43:56] I don't even know
[00:44:00] Well, I don't know if you can ask what's in there. I don't think so
[00:44:04] Look it up. It doesn't really say
[00:44:07] Oh
[00:44:08] Here it'll big mac or a 10 piece chicken mcnugget as well as the soda and fries
[00:44:14] Nobody needs any mcnuggets. I won't yeah once you get into that. I mean, they're good, but you know
[00:44:20] With their honey mustard. They're good
[00:44:22] I just don't love McDonald's
[00:44:25] I like their fish sandwich. Would they give me a fish sandwich?
[00:44:30] I'm the one lady. I'm the one lady once a year
[00:44:34] Well besides catholics and lent that show up
[00:44:40] The toys are freaky
[00:44:45] Speaking of which is the hamburger on there
[00:44:52] But see then they're gonna tell me I can't make a special request like I don't like sauce on a pigment
[00:44:56] I don't need a big mac
[00:44:59] Well, then mine's a fish sandwich for a special request
[00:45:02] It's speaking of fast food taco bell is gonna bring back one of its most requested discontinued items
[00:45:08] And you get to vote on it
[00:45:11] Either the double decker taco
[00:45:14] Or the insurrito
[00:45:17] I don't know. I never had an insurrito
[00:45:20] And I never felt the need to go for the double decker taco although I bet it's easier to eat because it's probably more solid
[00:45:27] um
[00:45:30] A soft flour tortilla
[00:45:33] Let me guess cheese beans onions. This is the same thing in everything
[00:45:40] It's an enchilada or a burrito. It's an enchurrito. Yeah, I go for that. Okay. Well
[00:45:46] They're gonna bring one of these two options back before the end of 2022
[00:45:50] The limited item will be available for a limited time only. Oh stop it
[00:45:56] Just bring shit back
[00:45:58] God those wanting to once again save her one of the create creations can
[00:46:03] Here's what I've never said heard somebody go. I gotta get a McRib
[00:46:07] Cancel that right we all just look at it and go gross
[00:46:12] An enchurrito. Well, it's not well here's the thing
[00:46:16] there's a uh
[00:46:18] You can cast a daily vote in the taco bell app through october 6th
[00:46:22] You'll need to have a taco bell rewards card and be signed in to vote
[00:46:26] You know what I'll let the other people do the voting. I don't have time for all that very busy eating chewed
[00:46:31] Litas according to the app the enchurrito is in the lead
[00:46:35] Okay, there you go paddles the votes are split roughly 60 to 40
[00:46:39] So the double decker taco has some catching up to do the winner will be announced on october 7th
[00:46:45] mm-hmm
[00:46:47] The double decker taco
[00:46:49] involves an outer layer of soft flour flour tortilla spread with beans this encapsulates a crunchy
[00:46:56] Taco shell filled with beef lettuce jack blah blah blah this was that was discontinued in 2019 the double decker
[00:47:03] um
[00:47:05] Oh, wow they cancelled the enchurrito in 2013
[00:47:09] I think that sounds good. Mm-hmm. They also recently brought back the maximum pizza and we've already talked about that
[00:47:15] So well, I would try an enchurrito
[00:47:19] I'm good on double the whole title. Yeah, just a regular taco is fine
[00:47:22] Might be easier to eat if you're driving though, which you probably shouldn't be doing anyway, but um
[00:47:27] Um
[00:47:29] Okay
[00:47:31] This is bad news for netflix
[00:47:33] Uh-oh, uh-oh for netflix
[00:47:37] How many people like it? I still like it. I like it
[00:47:40] millions of netflix fans say they'll quit the app
[00:47:43] This year is the cost of living crisis bites
[00:47:46] They're turning tail people
[00:47:51] I don't know if it's ten dollars google. I think it's more now. Um
[00:47:56] I have everything
[00:47:58] And I've probably paid for it all twice
[00:48:01] I don't know what the hell is going on on my television
[00:48:03] I have direct tv because I want to be able to watch football games
[00:48:06] And they were the only ones with sunday ticket and then I bought the mlb app because I want to be able to watch the cardinals
[00:48:11] On my ipad backstage no matter where i'm at in the country
[00:48:14] Uh, so I paid for all that and then
[00:48:17] Uh
[00:48:19] 999 to
[00:48:21] 1999
[00:48:24] Oh, how many people you want to watch at the same time? See i'm probably paying the 20 and it's just me
[00:48:29] um
[00:48:31] The thousand americans
[00:48:33] Were interviewed about their netflix habits 25 percent said they plan to leave this could leave
[00:48:38] This could mean 18 million subscribers will vanish leaving a 272 million dollar hole in the streaming companies pockets
[00:48:44] Well, here's how that whole
[00:48:47] That hole wouldn't have been so big if you hadn't given harry and megan all of your spending money right?
[00:48:54] Yep
[00:48:55] bad
[00:48:56] Around 40 percent of people say they'll exit due to the recently announced price rise
[00:49:01] The company is hiking back the cost of basic
[00:49:05] Oh
[00:49:05] This article's impound so I don't even know what that means
[00:49:10] They're hiking it up by one pound a month
[00:49:13] A pound respectively to the 999 in the 1999
[00:49:17] So a dollar a euro
[00:49:19] It's not a I always think it's I always think i'm reading suddenly pretty
[00:49:23] While the customers recharge an extra two bucks for the premium package, which now costs blah blah blah
[00:49:29] It's proven unpopular among users who've already struggling to pay bills as a result of
[00:49:34] inflation
[00:49:35] Other netflix users say um that they're leaving as a direct direct result of the cost of living increases
[00:49:43] Oh
[00:49:44] 22 percent said they were jumping ship due to missing shows and or movies on the platform
[00:49:50] what
[00:49:52] Some a lot of them said they preferred other streaming services
[00:49:55] Well, if you think about it if you can't afford them all
[00:49:58] You got to pick your favorites
[00:50:00] um
[00:50:05] I don't know I
[00:50:07] Netflix has had a tough year losing 1.2 million subscribers in the first quarters of
[00:50:12] 2022
[00:50:14] It's a lot. They better think of something
[00:50:17] They blame they blame increased competition, password sharing and rushes war with ukraine for the drop really?
[00:50:24] What
[00:50:28] Why don't you blame the spirit bear in michigan is it his fault her fault?
[00:50:34] Yeah, uh, I don't know what you're supposed to do if you're them, but
[00:50:38] They better think of something fast
[00:50:40] because
[00:50:41] All these other ones are creeping up too. And now I like paramount plus two there's just so many to pick from
[00:50:49] All right, this is so weird
[00:50:52] I tried to do start this some other podcast and I just I don't know we moved on but
[00:50:57] So for more than 50 years
[00:51:00] That's reclusive artist michael hyzer
[00:51:03] He's finally ready to unveil quote city his life's work and here's what it looks like
[00:51:12] He has a sprawling installation of mad made forms in the dusty nevada desert
[00:51:17] And it runs a half of a mile long
[00:51:20] Uh a mile and a half long and it can only be explored on foot
[00:51:25] Here's well, I'll keep going
[00:51:28] More than a century after he started it one of land's arts greatest
[00:51:32] Land arts greatest creators. I've never heard of that guy
[00:51:36] No, google this name. See what else he's done
[00:51:39] michael
[00:51:41] hyzer h e i z e r
[00:51:46] He's ready to unveil his magnes opus
[00:51:51] He specializes in large-scale and site specific sculptures large scale and site specific
[00:51:59] He's 77 years old
[00:52:02] He's from berkeley, so I'm sure it's yeah
[00:52:04] kind of far out
[00:52:06] There's uh, it's a lot of superlatives for first sentence
[00:52:10] But city made by michael hyzer demands it his sprawling installation
[00:52:15] Of man-made forms in the dusty nevada desert rizama
[00:52:18] I don't have long it's a singular artwork and one that's taken almost
[00:52:22] mythological status in the minds of art fans over recent decades and starting us
[00:52:27] September 2nd those fans will finally be able to see it
[00:52:31] okay
[00:52:33] He was supported by a non-for-profit
[00:52:36] They're accepting a limited amount of single day reservations to experience his piece showing up without a booking
[00:52:41] The organization's stresses stresses is not allowed nor is it particularly easy
[00:52:45] The site has no habitable structures and sits on private property in a rural stretch of the great basin land
[00:52:52] With few accessible paths for cars
[00:52:56] There's pictures of it
[00:52:58] So say you had a triangle
[00:53:02] and then
[00:53:03] You laid it on one of the shorter sides of the triangle
[00:53:08] Basically these looks like a skateboard park to me
[00:53:12] And i'm not even kidding
[00:53:14] I do not get it. This is one of these things where i'm like
[00:53:18] too Midwest
[00:53:20] Too dumb no matter what you explained to me. This is not going to make any sense
[00:53:26] I'm sure to people who know shit about this. This makes sense
[00:53:30] The foundation has built a 30 million endowment to care for the quote city
[00:53:34] That's what it's called moving forward. It'll be under the custodian
[00:53:38] Ship of a coalition of a major u.s institutions, then they
[00:53:43] Tell you all those visiting city is an off-road proposition in more ways than one
[00:53:48] It's been called the largest artwork in the world contains no walkways lookouts or directional signals
[00:53:53] There's no beginning and no end. Okay as a Libra. I don't like any of that either
[00:53:58] I want some signs
[00:54:00] And I want to know where do I start and where do I finish? What was your intention?
[00:54:04] And I this guy is one of those free floaters
[00:54:07] That uh good Libra can't be around because you won't make a decision
[00:54:11] And I sure she ain't going to make a decision
[00:54:13] I can't make those kind of decisions
[00:54:16] It's too hard. You're supposed to do it
[00:54:22] No walkways lookouts are dry. There's no beginning. No there it is designed to be
[00:54:26] Explored on foot and by instinct
[00:54:29] Here's my first thought out here. Where are the rattlesnakes?
[00:54:33] Fuck i'm gonna get bitten by a rattlesnake. That's all I'd be doing is look at the ground your art is here
[00:54:38] It's giant sculptures, but I'm I'm too focused on
[00:54:41] Because that happened to me in phoenix. I took a walk at adam like a jw mariat like I had a corporate gig
[00:54:47] And I said are there any walking paths, but like safe ones
[00:54:51] Because it's the desert and the guy was like, oh, yeah, you know just go out of here
[00:54:55] I took the map followed it
[00:54:57] Seriously at one point I and I had um, I had an iPod and head phones in
[00:55:03] I'm just walking along. There is a rattlesnake if you did not know you would have thought was taking a walk with me
[00:55:10] I
[00:55:11] Freaked out so bad. I literally jumped into traffic
[00:55:16] Thankfully the only car that was coming was probably
[00:55:19] 100 yards
[00:55:21] Down the road, but that person i'm sure was like
[00:55:24] What is this crazy lady?
[00:55:26] Why did she purposely hop in the road and then I went to the other side of the road think it yeah, it was anyway
[00:55:33] I've just had some very traumatic experiences
[00:55:36] Just walking along in a place that's civilized. This pie is a path
[00:55:42] Anyway, that's all I'd be thinking about
[00:55:45] um
[00:55:47] It's design
[00:55:49] You're supposed to go by instinct as guests stride among its graded gravel lanes rounded ravines and vast concrete structures
[00:56:01] This guy is kind of funny though. He did um
[00:56:05] It took him all these years. I mean he really he said i'm a fool alone
[00:56:09] Helplessly watching is they wait for me to die so they could turn my ranch into a gift shop in a motel now 70 70 told the new york times
[00:56:17] This is a masterpiece
[00:56:19] Or close to it and i'm the only one who cares whether the thing is actually done
[00:56:24] Oh, okay
[00:56:28] This somebody compared it to the most ancient monuments in cities
[00:56:33] well
[00:56:34] the ancient monuments
[00:56:37] Had a purpose other than art
[00:56:39] So did their cities
[00:56:41] You know new grains. It's to see the solstice so you go in the thing
[00:56:44] They all had like a little engineering purpose too. I mean or that's a burial ground or there's a reason
[00:56:50] Those people did it. They didn't have really time for fucking art
[00:56:55] but
[00:56:57] I mean there's nothing else going on. You want to give the guy the land?
[00:57:01] You know, okay
[00:57:05] A skateboard park
[00:57:07] It's an artwork aware of our primal impulses to build an organized space. Yes, this lady would like that
[00:57:14] It incorporates our moderate modern um
[00:57:17] Tendencies our awareness and reflections upon the subjectivity of our human experience of time and space as well as the many histories of the civilizations we have built
[00:57:27] Okay
[00:57:29] Thank you. Do you have a t can I buy a t-shirt?
[00:57:32] How about a coffee mug? Do you have a magnet? I got to get out of here
[00:57:38] But anyway, if there's people that understand art
[00:57:41] Way better than I do get on out there
[00:57:45] It's called city if you want to look it up
[00:57:48] Put it in the schnotes
[00:57:51] That's his life's work next week. We're gonna be talking about
[00:57:57] um
[00:57:58] Kim Kardashian's in a lot of trouble with the
[00:58:01] Yeah, but I had a different article too. That's very long that I need to um
[00:58:05] Dumb down for all termites including this termite. So we're gonna end today
[00:58:11] Um
[00:58:13] On a story that I promised you I would finish out
[00:58:17] King charles is
[00:58:20] Lost baby lost baby in us
[00:58:23] The australian lost baby
[00:58:28] King charles's legend australian love child drops dna bombshell
[00:58:33] This is these are the questions you and I were like, well, wait a second
[00:58:38] Fucking have palaces seen its share of scandals over the years
[00:58:42] Yes, but in the wake of her majesty's death a potential hidden love child in the family could be the biggest yet
[00:58:50] Simon charles dorante day 56. Um, by the way, somebody said my english accent was okay
[00:58:56] And I'm like, you know, they're right. It's not great. But in fairness, she said I don't think my mid missouri one would be very good
[00:59:03] I like okay funny comment and I'll take it. Um, it's all I got
[00:59:07] Uh
[00:59:10] um
[00:59:12] Simon charles dorante day 56 he claims he was in keyton steve in 1965
[00:59:17] By a 17 year old charles and an 18 year old camilla long before their they began their affair
[00:59:23] Okay
[00:59:25] His claim his unlikely claim has never been confirmed
[00:59:28] But he's determined to settle the matter once and for all
[00:59:31] He told the news he planned to take fresh legal action to force the new king to undergo dna testing
[00:59:37] I don't think you're gonna get that done
[00:59:39] Why why would he do that?
[00:59:43] Sharing an interview on facebook. He said charles got what he wanted the throne
[00:59:47] He got his wife. He got it all now. It's time for me to get my happy ending. Whoa. Whoa. Hey
[00:59:54] He said the dna test will prove he's a rifle heir to the throne
[00:59:58] Um, I was getting to
[01:00:01] Okay
[01:00:03] You and I were like, well, what is he actually saying happened?
[01:00:06] um
[01:00:11] Hold on hold on
[01:00:17] He has over 18,000 followers on facebook. So but this is this is not the part years are but
[01:00:22] He has spent years researching his ancestry finding pack pathways back to charles and camilla and using physical similarities as evidence
[01:00:33] Yeah
[01:00:34] They are some kind of the way charles's eyes go down like this, but yeah, you know, I could probably find 20 guys that look like
[01:00:41] Am I supposed um, I probably have to go to england to do that
[01:00:45] um
[01:00:50] But this is
[01:00:52] Shit, I think I printed out the wrong one. He is saying that his mother worked for the queen
[01:00:58] These two had this secret baby
[01:01:01] And they they gave it away. They sent it to australia because that's far enough away nobody will ever know
[01:01:08] and then
[01:01:11] Yeah, but there was a better I think I printed out the wrong thing. I'm very sorry to turn by so long as you mess up like this
[01:01:16] But let's make up our own want to make up our own story. Yeah
[01:01:19] um
[01:01:23] He looks a lot like him. That's my problem
[01:01:26] He looks a lot, but I'm the lady that watches those
[01:01:29] Shows and episode one. I'm like that guy did it
[01:01:33] Episode two. I'm like what no, I think she left on her own
[01:01:37] No, I'm sorry. I said that about that first man. Um, I'm not exactly. That's why I don't make decisions quickly
[01:01:43] I wait till all the things are in
[01:01:47] Um
[01:01:50] No, I had the thing does he have the ears? He does have the ears. They're not quite as prominent as
[01:01:59] Oh as charles um
[01:02:03] I'll find the real one for next time. That's my bad termites. I'm sorry
[01:02:08] What?
[01:02:10] I'll get part three going. Yeah, um
[01:02:13] All right termites this week on i'm going to rochester ithica and
[01:02:19] Wilkes bar or berry. I still don't know how to say it
[01:02:23] I've gotten competing things from people on twitter. I don't know what's right
[01:02:27] You know what? I'm gonna ask the first old person I see when I get there
[01:02:30] They'll tell me
[01:02:31] Um, where you starting now? I'm starting in buffalonia as I like to call it the land of buffalonia
[01:02:38] Because I want to go to the anchor bar because I want to have their um
[01:02:42] Buffalo wings and then if any Friday from buffalo has second suggestions on that but don't tell me not to go to the anchor bar
[01:02:50] Well people go but there's way better wings in buffalo. I'm sure there are but I'll do that as a second
[01:02:55] Um, yeah, that'll be my second stop, but could you go back?
[01:02:59] Yes, I am going back and then I'm gonna see my friends mary and tommy and they're gonna come to ithica
[01:03:07] And you know the weather's not too bad yet. So it's gonna be very it's gonna be absolutely lovely
[01:03:13] And then the the baseball playoffs will be on
[01:03:16] Cardinals in there wild card. Let's go cards
[01:03:20] and
[01:03:21] That after that call for Collins colorado springs
[01:03:25] After that, I don't know. I'd have to look I'd have to turn my phone back on and it's misbehaved
[01:03:31] Grand Rapids
[01:03:33] Detroit, I love you royal oak two shows
[01:03:37] Grand Rapids is totally fun to
[01:03:40] Dayton and indy both also midwest solid fun
[01:03:44] And the weather's just great. So I have no road complaints. No knock on wood all flights are
[01:03:50] Seeming to be going off on time. Nobody seems to be pissed at the airport, which is also super nice
[01:03:58] The children are back in school. Thank god, which takes half the traffic out of the airport for those of us that have to fly every week
[01:04:06] Um
[01:04:07] And um, that's all I got termites. I really suggest get some Cheetos and burritos
[01:04:12] Just get a tiny bag try it
[01:04:15] Yeah, I'm gonna have to I can't have this. I'll eat this whole bag
[01:04:19] chili and cheese
[01:04:23] and I don't
[01:04:25] I love it that there's a cheetah
[01:04:27] On there. It's a funny bag. I like it. It's good. I like the artwork
[01:04:32] All right termites your fall termites
[01:04:35] Your football termites
[01:04:37] Lewis beat me in the fantasy league last week
[01:04:40] Well, it's homie. It's homie salami
[01:04:44] Oh, it's bad. I think I think they're fighting about other things of football
[01:04:48] Giselle was spotted in miami without him
[01:04:50] He's not playing well, but he does it. He didn't have one of his woobies on the one week
