Hal Row is the host of First Talk with Hal Row, broadcast throughout western North Carolina on 1290 WHKY. Born and raised in Roanoke, Virginia Hal developed an interest in radio at 13 when he was on the staff of his sumer camp radio station. From there he was a high school correspondent, a theater arts/speech major at Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, North Carolina and after a short stint in the furniture industry has pursued broadcasting as a career over the past few decades. Holding positions as varied as on-air talent to General Manager and working in markets from Norfolk/Virginia Beach to Montgomery, Alabama, Hal now brings his love of conversation and broadcasting to the newest express of the industry, The MESH.
