Eight years ago two rabid Tarheel fans began a daily routine of discussing all things Carolina sports. First thing in the morning - last thing at night... the Tarheels are their favorite topic. Now you can listen in on their thoughts, opinions, and predictions. Every game, every recruit, every coach, & every opponent - they have an opinion. They may not be professional sportscasters - but they bleed Carolina Blue and sure do love their 'Heels.

Bleeding Blue: April 2012: Awards and Lefties

You may think there’s not much going on in the UNC world – but Bleeding Blue has some stuff still to discuss. B-ball season has wrapped, so that means end-of-year awards. Find out who got the accolades – and who got snubbed. Do you agree with the selections? There’s also some positive news coming up for the always-promising baseball team. So, tune in to Wes and Tarheel Danny as they get on the mics and offer their opinions and Bleeding Blue attitude. You know the drill… Go Heels!

"Tar Heel" Danny Kirkman

“Tarheel Danny” is an Asheboro, NC native now residing in Lexington, NC. He’s been a Tarheel fan pretty much for as long as he can remember. Favorite Tarheel player of all time has to be “Psycho T”. When he’s not using his season football tickets or researching the UNC message boards, he enjoys spending time with his wife Amber, son Daniel, and hitting the golf course.

Wes Baker

Wes Baker, a Lenoir NC native, grew up listening to Woody Durham turned up and the TV volume turned down. Literally “born and bred” a Tarheel fan – he can’t pick a favorite player… although he admits Harrison Barnes is quickly rising to the top of the list. His most memorable UNC fan experience was attending the Fall ’01 UNC vs Florida State football game – you may recognize him in pictures of the fans hanging from the goal-post. Wes is an avid disc golfer and is anxiously awaiting the day he takes his two young daughters to their first Carolina game.
