[00:00:05] What up, what up, what up? Welcome to the latest episode of Unplanned and Unashamed with Ray Money and Isaiah Pennell.
[00:00:15] What's up man?
[00:00:16] Nothing much. How you doing buddy?
[00:00:19] Good man, I'm busy man. That's all I do is work.
[00:00:22] Gotcha.
[00:00:24] Drive.
[00:00:25] That's what, it's a truck driver headset.
[00:00:28] Truck driver headset.
[00:00:31] Yeah man, this ain't come in handy.
[00:00:34] That's what I do.
[00:00:35] Here's my headset.
[00:00:39] Man, what that is?
[00:00:40] That looks like Princess Leia from Star Wars. That's what that looks like.
[00:00:47] Yeah man, this is a, you need a good pair of headphones.
[00:00:51] Right.
[00:00:53] I keep some headphones.
[00:01:00] What you got? Them look like a gun range.
[00:01:04] I look like a DJ and I'm about to jump on the turntable and spin some mixtapes.
[00:01:19] You said some mixtapes. You got old terminology.
[00:01:22] I'm not about mixtapes, records.
[00:01:25] Records.
[00:01:29] All right, let's see if this is a episode number one.
[00:01:34] Uh, we try to figure it out.
[00:01:37] Episode number one. Then we should just call it figuring it out.
[00:01:40] There we go. We'll call it figuring it out.
[00:01:43] Cause we don't have a damn name for it. Yeah.
[00:01:47] We got no name.
[00:01:48] Figuring it out.
[00:01:51] Man, were you at home?
[00:01:52] Like you in a hotel room.
[00:01:55] I am at the hotel room.
[00:01:58] You in a hotel room?
[00:01:59] I am. I am at the Baymont Inn in Hickory, North Carolina.
[00:02:04] I know the Baymont. Look, I know that head boy.
[00:02:09] Yeah.
[00:02:10] That little bitty circle in the middle.
[00:02:15] Yeah.
[00:02:17] Yeah.
[00:02:17] Yeah.
[00:02:17] I told my mom, I was like, I'm recording my first podcast tonight.
[00:02:21] And she's like, what time?
[00:02:23] And she goes, I said, uh, 10 o'clock.
[00:02:27] And she goes, well, we have to be at work by like six,
[00:02:31] seven o'clock in the morning.
[00:02:33] I was like, I'll just get a hotel room.
[00:02:36] I'm not waking y'all up with noise and stuff.
[00:02:39] And waking y'all up.
[00:02:41] Yeah.
[00:02:45] I'm at the Baymont Inn.
[00:02:46] That's what's up.
[00:02:48] You got a hotel to record, record the podcast.
[00:02:51] Man, that's dedication.
[00:02:53] That is dedication.
[00:02:54] And I'm in my car.
[00:02:57] That's what's up.
[00:02:58] I wish I had known.
[00:02:59] I just told you to do it in the car.
[00:03:03] Now, what state are you in right now?
[00:03:07] What state are you in?
[00:03:08] I'm in, uh, Oh no, I'm in North Carolina right now.
[00:03:13] Yeah.
[00:03:14] And, uh, I get, I've been here for a week or so.
[00:03:17] Let me see.
[00:03:19] I'm forgetting.
[00:03:20] Yeah.
[00:03:20] It's been about a week or so since I've been back.
[00:03:22] So, and then, uh, but in North Carolina, I've been in North Carolina for, uh,
[00:03:27] we'll still be here next week.
[00:03:28] So, and, uh, shows coming up this week here in North Carolina.
[00:03:33] Yeah.
[00:03:34] Well, how about you?
[00:03:37] Which Baymont?
[00:03:39] The Baymont in Hickory, North Carolina.
[00:03:42] It's right next to a Cracker Barrel, by the way, right next to a Cracker Barrel.
[00:03:47] So, I got done.
[00:03:48] You know what?
[00:03:49] I know Baymont, but we need to see if we can get them as a sponsor.
[00:03:53] Right?
[00:03:55] And, uh, it's right next to a Cracker Barrel.
[00:03:58] So, after I got done recording John's podcast, I was real hungry.
[00:04:02] So, I went up the road to the Cracker Barrel and was like, I want some chicken and dumplings
[00:04:07] and some carrots and stuff.
[00:04:10] So, I got to eat chicken and dumplings and carrots.
[00:04:13] Yeah.
[00:04:14] Chicken and dumplings and carrots.
[00:04:16] And then I got that.
[00:04:17] They do a loaded hash brown casserole.
[00:04:19] So, I got some of that too.
[00:04:21] I was like, give me some of that.
[00:04:24] You eat like a retiree.
[00:04:25] I do.
[00:04:27] And, you know, I work at a nursing home.
[00:04:30] So, I eat like one of those old people.
[00:04:34] That's usually what happens when you start to become what you're around.
[00:04:38] That's really what happens.
[00:04:40] You don't know why you like mashed peas.
[00:04:44] Yeah.
[00:04:44] One day, you just see somebody eating it and you're like, oh, I like that.
[00:04:50] They introduce you to it.
[00:04:52] And like I drink gin.
[00:04:53] Your parents is a, it's regular in your diet.
[00:04:55] Right.
[00:04:56] And like I drink ginger ale now.
[00:04:58] I didn't drink ginger ale before I started working at the nursing home.
[00:05:04] Man.
[00:05:05] That's it.
[00:05:06] You, we, uh, let me see.
[00:05:13] I don't know, man.
[00:05:14] I, uh.
[00:05:15] So, how long have you been in?
[00:05:17] How long have you been in North Carolina again?
[00:05:21] What, like living here?
[00:05:23] Yeah.
[00:05:24] Uh, I've been living in North Carolina since 2008.
[00:05:29] Gotcha.
[00:05:30] So, you're, but you're from Alabama, right?
[00:05:33] Yeah, originally.
[00:05:34] So, how did you go from Alabama to North Carolina?
[00:05:39] Uh, I drove.
[00:05:43] I got in the car and drove.
[00:05:46] Yeah, no, I, uh, I was, uh, I was with, uh, Wells Fargo, uh, well, Wachovia at the time.
[00:05:53] I was working at the bank.
[00:05:55] And, um, I was, uh, married to my first wife.
[00:05:59] So, we, uh, moved the day after we got married.
[00:06:02] Moved to North Carolina.
[00:06:04] And then, uh, I've kind of been around this area, you know, we got divorced and then I'll end up, uh, still working at the bank for the most part.
[00:06:16] Thank you.
[00:06:16] And just, that's pretty much it.
[00:06:18] Just kind of transferred up here.
[00:06:20] Uh, I came and visited a few times, but I liked it, you know, took around.
[00:06:24] So, it was different.
[00:06:25] I mean, that's really what it was.
[00:06:26] It was different than, uh, than where I was from.
[00:06:29] So, figured I'd try somewhere here.
[00:06:31] So, I didn't realize that it would become home home.
[00:06:35] So, that's it.
[00:06:38] So, you, what did you do at Wells Fargo?
[00:06:40] Were you a bank teller?
[00:06:43] Man, I did it all, man.
[00:06:44] I was, I was at the bank for 17 years, man.
[00:06:47] Wow.
[00:06:47] I was a, I was a teller.
[00:06:50] I started as a teller and then I was a roving teller.
[00:06:53] So, I would drive around, uh, the different branches and, um, I was telling each one of them.
[00:07:00] So, I'd be in a new place each day.
[00:07:03] And, oh man, there's a lot of wild times there doing that.
[00:07:09] Man.
[00:07:10] I'm curious.
[00:07:11] That's what you like.
[00:07:13] How did you make the transition from working at the bank to stand up?
[00:07:19] Uh, I don't know.
[00:07:21] This is the, this is the thing.
[00:07:22] Like the, working in the bank as a teller, I probably, as a teller was probably some, it was stressful.
[00:07:29] But, you know, you got, it was probably one of the most fun times because you got the chance to meet people.
[00:07:33] Right.
[00:07:34] People can't hide behind their money when you're looking at their account.
[00:07:38] Like, no, sir.
[00:07:40] You don't, you don't give, you give it rich energy, but I'm looking at your account.
[00:07:48] You're giving rich energy, but you don't have the account to match that.
[00:07:52] I'm looking at it.
[00:07:54] It's okay.
[00:07:55] You ain't got to act like that.
[00:07:57] If you ain't got it, you ain't got it.
[00:08:00] Oh man.
[00:08:00] You see a lot of stuff.
[00:08:01] Working as a bank teller, you see some of the, some of the, cause you see what people do, people, who people are, where they spend their money is pretty much what they do.
[00:08:10] So, and you can see, you see people get scammed.
[00:08:14] There's a lot of stuff that you see.
[00:08:16] Or you meet scammers.
[00:08:19] Are they trying to scam you?
[00:08:21] It'd be all, it was, it was, it was every time I used to have, some of the sad times.
[00:08:27] Cause you've got people get scammed and like, especially around Christmas time, they come with these checks and stuff.
[00:08:34] And then like, they didn't bought gifts and stuff and all this.
[00:08:36] And you got to tell them they got a fake check.
[00:08:38] So yeah, it was just, I don't know.
[00:08:42] You learn people.
[00:08:43] You get a chance to, and they talk to you, especially when you get banking.
[00:08:46] So, but yeah, I was a teller.
[00:08:48] Let's see what I was a tele manager.
[00:08:50] So I became a manager.
[00:08:51] Then, which I'm still traveling around.
[00:08:54] And then I ended up moving up here to a customer service, just regular customer service.
[00:09:01] And then, where else?
[00:09:04] On the phone banks.
[00:09:05] I'd be in the phone.
[00:09:06] If you called, you had, you had your account overdrawn.
[00:09:09] I'm the person you talking to.
[00:09:12] Hey, or you'd look and call it.
[00:09:14] And then I became a sales banker.
[00:09:16] So I would do home loans, equity loans and stuff like that.
[00:09:20] And now people call in through the phone bank and pretty much anything, open accounts, credit
[00:09:25] cards, all that good stuff.
[00:09:28] Let's see.
[00:09:29] Then I went into treasury management, went corporate treasury management.
[00:09:33] So I had like Toys R Us.
[00:09:35] Toys R Us was one of my clients.
[00:09:37] Let's see who else I had.
[00:09:38] They went out of business, but they was cool while they lasted.
[00:09:42] Cool people.
[00:09:44] Let me see.
[00:09:44] But at least from what I heard, I don't know all their business, but let me see who else
[00:09:50] we had.
[00:09:51] And then I had a lot of retail clients, like they were corporate customers.
[00:09:56] And then finally, when I left, I was in a relationship, corporate healthcare.
[00:10:00] So I worked with like Pfizer and some of these.
[00:10:05] And I did like their risk, well, open accounts for them and stuff like that.
[00:10:10] And we were rich for loans and other stuff.
[00:10:14] So yeah, man, this is a, it was like eight years of that.
[00:10:19] And, and decided that year by the year, what year and a half now, a little over a year
[00:10:25] and a half now to take full leap into it.
[00:10:27] I was doing comedy the whole time from, well, I can't say the whole time.
[00:10:31] So the 17 years, it was 10 years.
[00:10:33] So I've been doing it 10 years.
[00:10:34] So somewhere in that realm, I stumbled across the Joe Rogan and it was Joe Rogan
[00:10:43] and Charlie Murphy were having podcasts.
[00:10:46] They were talking about, oh, Charlie Murphy was on Joe Rogan's podcast.
[00:10:49] He was talking about how, uh, how they would stuff happen at the comedy store.
[00:10:55] And people had always told me I was funny.
[00:10:58] And so I figured I'd try open mic one time just to go watch.
[00:11:02] I wouldn't even go into perform.
[00:11:03] And I went to a open mic to just watch and end up getting on stage.
[00:11:09] And it's kind of history.
[00:11:11] I remember just been going at it ever since.
[00:11:15] Where was your first open mic at?
[00:11:22] Fort Mills, South Carolina.
[00:11:25] Gotcha.
[00:11:27] Fort Mills.
[00:11:28] Do you remember the name of the comedy club?
[00:11:30] Yep.
[00:11:32] It was a comedy zone, but it was, uh, it was like the, uh, like a little monthly little
[00:11:39] room they had connected to a bar.
[00:11:42] Gotcha.
[00:11:42] Matt, I think it was Madison's or something like that.
[00:11:45] Uh, but they would have little shows and like monthly shows in there, but then it also
[00:11:50] run Mike in there.
[00:11:52] Some of the comics, uh, it was Chris Corrado.
[00:11:54] Let me see who else was there.
[00:11:56] Like Will Jacobs.
[00:11:58] And some of these guys that, uh, they were on the scene before I got there.
[00:12:03] And so I asked me if I looked like, I guess I looked like I was, I wanted to go up.
[00:12:10] And, uh, I got asked, Hey man, you want to go up?
[00:12:12] And, uh, I went up and yeah.
[00:12:16] Yeah.
[00:12:17] I guess so.
[00:12:17] It wasn't that many people in there at the time.
[00:12:19] It was maybe like five or six people and a couple of comics, they were bombing.
[00:12:23] And I was like, man, I can at least bomb.
[00:12:26] So I just forgot to bomb along with them.
[00:12:30] Do you remember the first joke you told on stage?
[00:12:33] Oh yeah.
[00:12:37] I don't know.
[00:12:37] It was something about, it was something about, uh, it was like a grocery store.
[00:12:43] Somebody getting changed back from a grocery store.
[00:12:45] I don't know.
[00:12:46] It was, and I don't know.
[00:12:48] Back at the time I, I didn't, wasn't prepared to go on stage.
[00:12:52] I was just coming to watch.
[00:12:53] So it was just.
[00:12:54] Right.
[00:12:55] Just spurred them on the.
[00:12:57] I just took, I mean, I'm about to go up.
[00:13:03] Let me get, let me get three shots.
[00:13:06] I mean, three shots at the bottom of it.
[00:13:08] Yeah.
[00:13:10] Man, I was just going.
[00:13:12] So it wasn't expected.
[00:13:14] So that was the, I didn't, I didn't bomb.
[00:13:16] I got laughs.
[00:13:18] Whatever I said, that's what I remember.
[00:13:19] I just remember getting laughter.
[00:13:21] I was like, all right.
[00:13:23] You know, of course I've bombed since then, but on many occasions, but it's been, uh, you
[00:13:35] know, yeah, let's try it.
[00:13:39] You're just like, F it.
[00:13:40] Let's do it.
[00:13:42] Let's do it.
[00:13:42] Yeah.
[00:13:43] Why not?
[00:13:44] Right.
[00:13:44] I mean, if I can, if I got the time and you know, I'm like, all right, if I'm going
[00:13:50] to look, I'm interested in doing it.
[00:13:51] I'm not, I've never really been fearful to try much of anything.
[00:13:55] So that's been, yeah, let's do it.
[00:13:59] Why not?
[00:14:00] What we, what we, what we, what we nervous about.
[00:14:02] Let's try it.
[00:14:03] Well, that's like me.
[00:14:04] I did it on a dare the first time ever doing stand up.
[00:14:08] My cousin put together an event up in Virginia.
[00:14:11] Cause that's where I'm from.
[00:14:12] I'm from like the backwoods of Southwest Virginia, coal country.
[00:14:18] I mean, have you ever seen a coal miners daughter?
[00:14:24] It's an, it's an old seventies movie with Sissy Spacek.
[00:14:29] So that's kind of like how I grew up basically.
[00:14:33] Just very.
[00:14:34] So, and that's where the event was.
[00:14:37] It was just in the backwoods of Southwest Virginia.
[00:14:40] And my cousin was like, do you want to do some time or no?
[00:14:44] I reached out to him first and I said, I'd like to do some time.
[00:14:48] And he's like, okay, I'll let you do some time, but I doubt you'll do it.
[00:14:52] So I was like, don't dare me.
[00:14:55] I'll do it.
[00:14:56] So I came up with, I think it was five minutes of material.
[00:15:03] And my first bit was about my granddad falling through a camping chair and his balls was hanging out.
[00:15:11] Wait, did your granddad, did your granddad really fall through a camping chair and his balls fell out?
[00:15:18] He did.
[00:15:19] He did.
[00:15:20] Man.
[00:15:22] We was all at a family reunion, just sitting around in a big circle.
[00:15:26] And then all of a sudden we heard his chair rip.
[00:15:30] And.
[00:15:31] Wait, I mean, I'm, I'm just kind of with.
[00:15:36] Did he have on jeans and his balls just fell out?
[00:15:39] The jeans or.
[00:15:40] He was wearing.
[00:15:41] What was.
[00:15:42] He was wearing baggy shorts with no underwear.
[00:15:45] Cause it was like in July.
[00:15:48] So.
[00:15:49] Your granddaddy.
[00:15:50] Your granddaddy don't care about nobody, but himself.
[00:15:59] The nerve of you to come to the family reunion with your balls out.
[00:16:07] That's exactly what happened.
[00:16:09] He had on baggy shorts, no underwear.
[00:16:12] And there was about 20 of us sitting in a big circle.
[00:16:15] And I might've been about.
[00:16:16] Other kids come.
[00:16:18] Your granddaddy got up and the other kids came leaning up on the chair.
[00:16:22] What's that smell?
[00:16:26] I was like 10 when it happened.
[00:16:28] Granddaddy coming back.
[00:16:29] I was like.
[00:16:30] He said 10.
[00:16:31] Yeah.
[00:16:31] I was 10 when it happened.
[00:16:34] I heard the chair start to rip.
[00:16:36] And I looked over.
[00:16:38] How do you know?
[00:16:41] 23.
[00:16:42] Well, 22, but I'll be 23 in September.
[00:16:46] So it's been, you know, about like 13 years ago.
[00:16:50] Yeah.
[00:16:50] Your granddaddy balls.
[00:16:52] It's just your memory.
[00:16:54] For life.
[00:16:57] He can't.
[00:16:58] He can't get the balls out of his memory.
[00:17:02] It's one of.
[00:17:03] Actually, it's one of his favorite stories.
[00:17:06] That is one of his favorite.
[00:17:07] My granddaddy balls fell out.
[00:17:10] Hey, you remember your balls fell out?
[00:17:12] Yeah.
[00:17:17] That used to be one of my favorite stories to tell.
[00:17:21] Send this episode to your granddaddy.
[00:17:25] Well, he actually, my granddad passed away a few years ago back in 2010.
[00:17:30] Oh, man.
[00:17:31] My bad.
[00:17:32] Well.
[00:17:32] Oh, you're fine.
[00:17:33] Don't send this one to it.
[00:17:34] My bad.
[00:17:36] He would have loved that joke.
[00:17:37] He was a jokester.
[00:17:39] I mean, like when he was sick.
[00:17:41] I'm sure he would.
[00:17:42] Right.
[00:17:42] He would talk about that story all the time.
[00:17:45] Because when he fell through the camping chair, the chair flipped over to the side with him in it.
[00:17:51] So he's just kind of hunched in the camping chair.
[00:17:54] And everybody is like taking pictures of his balls hanging out.
[00:17:59] And nobody's helping him up.
[00:18:01] So he's just rolling around the dirt.
[00:18:03] Balls flopping everywhere.
[00:18:07] I think he was like accidentally playing hacky sack with them.
[00:18:14] So that's the first joke I told him.
[00:18:20] Hell no.
[00:18:20] Y'all good.
[00:18:25] And I told it in front of my grandma.
[00:18:27] So that was kind of.
[00:18:29] You get to open up.
[00:18:34] I'm like, hey, grandma.
[00:18:35] We'll talk about your husband's nuts hanging out.
[00:18:38] Nobody took pictures.
[00:18:40] Oh, you're talking about.
[00:18:42] Oh, I thought you said people were taking pictures.
[00:18:44] Yeah, people were taking pictures.
[00:18:46] I thought you was talking about when I was telling them to be it.
[00:18:49] So somebody somewhere has pictures of my granddad's balls hanging out.
[00:18:55] Just popping everywhere.
[00:18:57] I don't know who has it.
[00:18:59] Just flipping through a photo album.
[00:19:01] It's labeled Granddaddy Balls.
[00:19:06] Amen.
[00:19:08] I'm going to be like 70 years old one day flipping through a photo album with my grandkids.
[00:19:14] And I'm going to be like, why do you have a picture of old man's balls hanging out?
[00:19:19] Oh, there ain't going to be no question, man.
[00:19:23] When they come out, your granddaddy nuts is going to be famous.
[00:19:28] Right.
[00:19:32] Your first special is going to be a picture with your granddaddy in the photo chair.
[00:19:38] It's called Nuts Out.
[00:19:42] There you go.
[00:19:44] There you go.
[00:19:45] When we start coming out with merchandise, it needs to be just a picture of balls hanging out.
[00:19:54] Oh, but yeah, I told that one.
[00:19:56] And then that led into a story about my aunt and uncle's sex tape.
[00:20:01] So that was kind of cool.
[00:20:04] And that's a true story, too.
[00:20:07] Hey, man, you got a weird family, dude.
[00:20:13] You don't see.
[00:20:17] You see.
[00:20:19] I have.
[00:20:20] I've seen a lot of weird shit.
[00:20:22] You said.
[00:20:23] You said.
[00:20:25] You said.
[00:20:26] You said your aunt and uncle's sex tape.
[00:20:27] Yeah.
[00:20:29] How do you.
[00:20:31] Did you.
[00:20:32] How did you come across your.
[00:20:35] Wait, what?
[00:20:35] What is it about this?
[00:20:37] So when I tell it on stage, I tell a little bit of a fib.
[00:20:41] It was actually my dad that found it.
[00:20:43] But I rewrote it to something that I found.
[00:20:47] So what happened was, is my dad and a few of my cousins and my aunt was just in the basement rummaging through VHS tapes.
[00:20:58] This was like in the 80s.
[00:21:00] And they came across this one that like didn't have a title on it or a movie name.
[00:21:06] So they was just curious.
[00:21:08] So they put it in.
[00:21:11] And I think they watched it for about 20, 30 minutes.
[00:21:16] I mean, they had done change positions and everything.
[00:21:20] Hey, wait.
[00:21:21] Wait.
[00:21:22] Wait.
[00:21:23] No, no, no.
[00:21:25] So they didn't watch the tape.
[00:21:27] 20, 30 minutes.
[00:21:29] No.
[00:21:29] If you watch it for 20, 30 minutes, you not.
[00:21:33] It wasn't no accident.
[00:21:34] You knew that tape was there.
[00:21:36] You made this an arrangement because you had to arrange for 20, 20 minutes of privacy.
[00:21:41] Right.
[00:21:43] Yeah.
[00:21:44] They had done went through like three or four positions before they realized that it was, you know, the aunt and uncle.
[00:21:54] But yeah.
[00:21:55] Wait, what?
[00:21:56] I said they had done went through like three.
[00:21:58] What?
[00:21:59] And finally, one of my cousins was like, as well.
[00:22:05] Oh, hell no.
[00:22:06] One of my cousins.
[00:22:10] Like, ooh, somebody getting pegged down through that.
[00:22:15] Uncle?
[00:22:17] That's kind of what I think it.
[00:22:21] Wait.
[00:22:22] Is those our kitchen countertops?
[00:22:26] They made a.
[00:22:27] Sex tape in the kitchen.
[00:22:30] Wait.
[00:22:31] I didn't know a rolling pin could go up the bus.
[00:22:37] One of my cousins yelled out, it's mom and dad.
[00:22:41] It's mom and dad.
[00:22:43] Hey, wait, wait, wait.
[00:22:45] She said.
[00:22:53] Hey, man.
[00:22:55] My aunt and uncle doesn't know that like everybody in the family knows about the story until I got up on stage and told it.
[00:23:03] And then in Lenore, I got up on stage in front of a thousand people and told it.
[00:23:09] And then I'm telling it now.
[00:23:11] Wait.
[00:23:12] They never knew.
[00:23:14] No, they had no clue.
[00:23:15] Nobody knew about it until I got up on stage.
[00:23:27] I don't care if they're embarrassed about it a little bit.
[00:23:30] It's funny.
[00:23:32] Listen, this is the thing.
[00:23:34] No, you look.
[00:23:36] He's like, man, relax.
[00:23:38] Stop being so macho.
[00:23:39] We've seen your sex tape.
[00:23:43] Relax.
[00:23:45] Hey, well, he got something to be proud of in the story.
[00:23:50] Yeah.
[00:23:50] So like they was in there watching for 20, 30 minutes.
[00:23:53] Okay.
[00:23:53] My boy ain't putting in work.
[00:23:57] He ain't putting in work.
[00:23:59] 20, 30 minutes before they.
[00:24:01] He said.
[00:24:04] It wasn't just like a little short film.
[00:24:07] Right.
[00:24:09] Yeah.
[00:24:09] It wasn't like a blooper reel.
[00:24:11] It wasn't like, you know, all of a sudden they stopped and was like, oh, the sprinklers are on.
[00:24:16] We need to turn it off.
[00:24:17] No, they.
[00:24:18] He was putting in, he's putting in, he's putting in woodwork.
[00:24:23] You know, sweating and drinking juice.
[00:24:32] You know, he had a little bottle of pineapple juice sitting beside the bed.
[00:24:38] Coming in with a style.
[00:24:40] Right.
[00:24:43] And you got a towel in the head.
[00:24:46] So yeah, that is the first two jokes I ever told on stage.
[00:24:51] That's hilarious.
[00:24:53] So yeah.
[00:24:54] And then, you know, I opened up for John in Lenore.
[00:25:00] So that was fun.
[00:25:01] I did stand up on a cruise ship behind cowboy Bill Martin and Steve Jessup.
[00:25:12] And then just recently, you know, Spindale at Harley's Taproom.
[00:25:20] Yeah, man.
[00:25:21] I say I came now.
[00:25:22] You did your thing, man.
[00:25:24] Good deal.
[00:25:25] Yes, sir.
[00:25:27] Man.
[00:25:28] And that was the last time I've done stand up.
[00:25:32] So.
[00:25:34] Really?
[00:25:35] You got to do.
[00:25:37] Stand up, man, for me is, I don't know, it's different.
[00:25:39] It's somewhat therapeutic and it's, it's art, man.
[00:25:43] I feel like I'm trying to do something with it every day.
[00:25:46] I mean, no, it's going full time into it.
[00:25:49] Right.
[00:25:49] So it's different.
[00:25:51] It, it, it, it changed your perspective because you know, this is it.
[00:25:55] I'm making this, this the thing.
[00:25:57] So it's, uh, I have to work at it like that.
[00:26:02] So every, every little, I can't even say this is stand up because there's a lot of business stuff.
[00:26:09] That's, that's where the stand up is a lot of business.
[00:26:12] It's not just all the funny.
[00:26:16] Right.
[00:26:17] You can have the best jokes if you ever, but if you don't have anywhere to tell them, then it's, you know, where if you, I guess you could do it for free, but I'm not aiming for that.
[00:26:25] Right.
[00:26:27] You want a little bit of money out of it.
[00:26:30] Yeah, man.
[00:26:31] Okay.
[00:26:32] You got people, the family, you know, I got kids.
[00:26:35] So maybe you want to eat every day.
[00:26:39] Unfortunately, everybody wants to eat every day.
[00:26:43] They want you to, man, every day.
[00:26:47] Come on, man.
[00:26:49] I mean, looking like you done ate three times already.
[00:26:56] They just don't stop, man.
[00:26:58] So you don't got no kids.
[00:26:59] No, I don't have any kids.
[00:27:02] You are the, you are the little, uh, crumb crusher that, that been eating up your parents' food.
[00:27:08] Yeah, that's exactly right.
[00:27:10] I'm eating up my mom, I'm eating up my mom and stepdad's food.
[00:27:13] That's what I'm doing.
[00:27:15] I'm just.
[00:27:15] Man, they hate your guts.
[00:27:20] He's like, why don't these little ass stop eating?
[00:27:22] That's why they shipped me off to a hotel room.
[00:27:26] That's why I'm here at the bathing room.
[00:27:27] No, you didn't.
[00:27:29] You did that on your own.
[00:27:30] I did do that on my own.
[00:27:32] I will.
[00:27:33] I was in a guy.
[00:27:34] I was in a thing you used to let you try to bring some comedy over.
[00:27:37] Yeah.
[00:27:40] Bring some comedy over.
[00:27:42] Baymont.
[00:27:42] That's exactly what.
[00:27:43] Yeah, that.
[00:27:44] The headboard don't move.
[00:27:46] Okay, it's mounted to the wall.
[00:27:51] Yeah, where you got my bed, whatever.
[00:27:53] Different time.
[00:27:54] Uh, I don't know where was you going with that?
[00:27:58] Yeah.
[00:27:58] Yeah.
[00:28:00] Yeah.
[00:28:02] Hey, man.
[00:28:03] That's the thing.
[00:28:04] You have hotel rooms all the time.
[00:28:08] Like this is, your life is at a hotel room.
[00:28:10] So you kind of have to learn how to do everything at a hotel room.
[00:28:15] You live most of your life because you're traveling a lot or, you know, if you're not, then you know, depending on how much you hustle.
[00:28:24] Some people are in their car or you're living on the road.
[00:28:27] So that's a, so you are, this is this a, your ultimate goal is to be a stand up.
[00:28:35] Yes.
[00:28:36] This is part of the, of the grind.
[00:28:39] This is a hotel room recording in your car.
[00:28:42] Oh, the, on the train.
[00:28:45] Yeah, that.
[00:28:46] Plane.
[00:28:47] That's the ultimate goal.
[00:28:49] Yeah.
[00:28:49] I want to get into stand up and, you know, have it be my full time thing.
[00:28:56] And I watched in a Bon Jovi documentary on Hulu.
[00:29:01] He's like, there's no plan B.
[00:29:03] It's either make it or break it.
[00:29:05] So that's, you know, how I look at it.
[00:29:07] It's either make it or break it.
[00:29:09] And I've been like interested in stand up ever since I can remember, like even through high school, I used to tell all my friends, I want to do stand up.
[00:29:17] I want to do a podcast.
[00:29:19] I want to do stand up.
[00:29:20] And then finally, you know, when I started interning for John Reif is when I really, you know, thought about it.
[00:29:28] And then, you know, my cousin just kind of opened the door.
[00:29:31] Yeah, man.
[00:29:32] Hey, what's for you is for you, man.
[00:29:35] That's really what it is, man.
[00:29:37] Yes, sir.
[00:29:37] Okay.
[00:29:38] If you had that vision and the fact that you're chasing your dream is it's going to be difficult because not everyone is our dream.
[00:29:50] Like everyone is going to come into your space and not going to be a dreamer.
[00:29:53] So they're not going to see it.
[00:29:56] So that's the thing you have, at least for me as a comic, as a comic jumping into a full time.
[00:30:02] Yeah.
[00:30:02] You get people that they don't necessarily, they will see it as a career and they don't see it as a for the new comics, you know.
[00:30:10] So you're going to have people that, you know, feel like, hey, how's that thing that you're doing?
[00:30:17] How's your little, you know.
[00:30:19] So that's kind of been the over the years where you grow and then people watch you progress and you just keep.
[00:30:27] I mean, I think that's it.
[00:30:30] You've been doing this, wanting to do this in high school.
[00:30:33] So if you just stay doing it, man, you can be great.
[00:30:37] Don't change your mind or let go.
[00:30:39] But yeah, my grandparents, you know, used to watch like the blue collar comedy guys and stuff.
[00:30:46] So I would watch that with them and everything.
[00:30:49] And I, and there was like one comic, I forgot who it was that said something on stage, like you make my liver quiver.
[00:30:58] And I used to tell that to my great grandma all the time, not knowing what it meant.
[00:31:02] I just thought it was funny.
[00:31:06] So yeah, I've always, you know, been into stand up and, you know, Dave Chappelle, all those guys.
[00:31:15] I think, I mean, I don't know. I mean, I think I've gotten, I've gotten signs over the years, man.
[00:31:21] I would wake up.
[00:31:22] One thing that would happen to me, like I would go to sleep, like whether it's my aunt, my uncle's house or my grandmother or my parents house.
[00:31:30] And then, or even when I've, when I was older and I've had late twenties, sister and I would go to sleep.
[00:31:40] And I'd, no matter where I would go, if I was like sleeping in the living room or somewhere, there would be times where I'd wake up.
[00:31:47] And then when I wake up, the TV would be on and stand up would be on TV.
[00:31:52] And I've had like blue, what I, what someone told me that called God winks.
[00:32:04] Like, like, this is something that you be should be.
[00:32:08] And, uh, it's happened various, whether it was like comic view or where my parents be watching or some other stand up show that my uncle, people within my, they will, I, I, either they left it on or sometime I was, one time I was in a, my apartment in Charlotte.
[00:32:26] I was a little tiny apartment and you have cable.
[00:32:30] They have cable.
[00:32:32] So it was, but it was just like a little tenor.
[00:32:35] And I don't know.
[00:32:35] It was like some news.
[00:32:37] E something was on when I, I just dozed off on my little, uh, what's the little couch that turned into a bed?
[00:32:49] Uh, oh, I know what you, uh, pull out sofa.
[00:32:54] That's not the correct term for it, but yeah, kind of like that, but it's just basically a, a mattress that folds out and it stands up.
[00:33:02] But it, uh, I just, I have cable.
[00:33:05] Oh, like there's like little home alone hide the beds or is that the name?
[00:33:09] That's pretty much what it is.
[00:33:11] No, well, not like when it come out the wall, but, um, I forgot what they call it.
[00:33:17] The, and it's just basically a mattress that would have frame and then you fold it out and now it's a bed.
[00:33:23] But I had one of those.
[00:33:24] I went, I fell asleep in the living room.
[00:33:27] And then, uh, when I woke up, stand up was on.
[00:33:32] So these are, it's like been shit like that.
[00:33:34] That has happened throughout the, the course of my life up until this.
[00:33:40] And this is for as a kid.
[00:33:41] So, and I, I didn't realize until, you know, you look back over your life and be like, oh, okay.
[00:33:47] Maybe that's what that was.
[00:33:48] I mean, it was, maybe that was the reason.
[00:33:50] And, you know, you got signs after you look back, but yeah.
[00:33:56] So I got, I think that's probably how I kind of got to what you think is.
[00:34:00] You're, uh, how was the earliest that you think that you've recognized or that you were interested in stand up?
[00:34:13] You said, what, seven?
[00:34:15] Probably.
[00:34:17] Yeah.
[00:34:18] I, I used to watch a little bit of stand up at that age, but when I really started recognizing it, probably I'd say eighth grade.
[00:34:26] So middle school.
[00:34:28] Huh.
[00:34:29] And like, I, I love, I know I said Dave Chappelle earlier, but to me,
[00:34:35] he is the goat.
[00:34:36] Like that is, you know, who I one day want to be as funny as.
[00:34:41] And, uh, Robin Williams, he's one of my favorites too.
[00:34:46] Um, so yeah, I'd say about eighth grade is when I really started, you know, paying attention and stuff.
[00:34:54] Hmm.
[00:34:54] Um, man, I'm ready to quit.
[00:34:57] Now I'll just play.
[00:35:00] I'll just play.
[00:35:01] So, so who are some of your favorite comics?
[00:35:04] Oh man, I got a lot of them, man.
[00:35:06] This is a, uh, like Dave, of course, man.
[00:35:08] Uh, Dave Chappelle is one of my favorites.
[00:35:10] He's a big influence.
[00:35:12] You know, he don't, I mean, I don't know him directly, but you know, you, you see, I
[00:35:15] watch stuff just like other, other comics.
[00:35:18] Uh, let me see, man, it's, it's a lot of them, man.
[00:35:23] And I don't know.
[00:35:24] All of them are actually even like huge names.
[00:35:27] Like, uh, one of my homeboys out of, uh, they stay at Dallas, Texas.
[00:35:33] Name's Trey Mac.
[00:35:34] Uh, he's younger, uh, younger comic, but you guys are funny, man.
[00:35:39] Like, like he's from Alabama.
[00:35:42] Let me see.
[00:35:44] DS Sanders.
[00:35:45] Like he's, uh, like maybe not be well known as, as like some of the big names, but they've
[00:35:53] been doing, he's been doing like 30 years.
[00:35:55] Hilarious.
[00:35:56] And then I got, I know these guys, these guys personally.
[00:35:59] So, uh, I don't know.
[00:36:02] It's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's a,
[00:36:04] it's a, it's a, it's a.
[00:36:05] Everybody I've learned that everybody has a, there's so many different styles of comedy.
[00:36:11] And I think that's one of the reasons I kind of hate.
[00:36:14] I don't really like doing competitions.
[00:36:17] I really, I really don't like it because it's it to me, it just kind of tries to force
[00:36:23] people into this.
[00:36:24] I think I look at it as comedy is artistry.
[00:36:28] Same way you would look at music.
[00:36:30] that has different genres of music.
[00:36:35] I like it stand-up the same way
[00:36:37] because you see the delivery
[00:36:39] of the different jokes.
[00:36:43] Oh, yeah, it's an art form
[00:36:45] for sure.
[00:36:45] Yeah, so I think that's
[00:36:48] the...
[00:36:50] I guess it
[00:36:51] really would be, if you look at
[00:36:54] who my favorite comedy
[00:36:55] is, depending on
[00:36:58] what
[00:37:01] it's just the mood, I guess, at that time.
[00:37:04] So I like
[00:37:05] Jim Jefferies.
[00:37:07] He's in the...
[00:37:10] He's a comic
[00:37:11] out of Australia
[00:37:13] or Ali Sadiq
[00:37:16] or
[00:37:18] Patrice O'Neal
[00:37:21] for late, great
[00:37:23] Patrice O'Neal.
[00:37:25] But everybody has...
[00:37:26] Everyone has something different. I think that's
[00:37:28] what it is. I'm just watching everybody
[00:37:30] that has something different than
[00:37:32] the other people that I've named.
[00:37:34] They're all different.
[00:37:36] They're finding out that they're
[00:37:40] their own
[00:37:41] person, so
[00:37:43] there's no one
[00:37:44] kind of like them.
[00:37:49] Right.
[00:37:51] I don't know if I asked you a question.
[00:37:53] Oh, yeah, you answered my question.
[00:37:55] So, at the Spindell show,
[00:37:58] you did a
[00:37:59] Eddie Murphy impression
[00:38:02] from Shrek.
[00:38:03] Oh, yeah.
[00:38:04] Right?
[00:38:05] I was wondering if you would do that
[00:38:07] real quick.
[00:38:07] Oh, man.
[00:38:08] Because I thought that was kind of funny.
[00:38:10] I don't do it at all.
[00:38:11] I thought that was funny.
[00:38:12] I can do some impressions.
[00:38:13] I just don't do them that often.
[00:38:14] Let me see.
[00:38:16] I have to hear it.
[00:38:21] Yes!
[00:38:21] Yes!
[00:38:22] Wait, wait.
[00:38:23] Let me...
[00:38:24] I gotta get what...
[00:38:29] I'm trying to remember
[00:38:30] what I want to say now.
[00:38:34] I don't know.
[00:38:35] I really...
[00:38:35] I have to hear it.
[00:38:37] If I've heard them in a while,
[00:38:38] I can hear the voices
[00:38:40] in my head.
[00:38:41] I don't know if that makes
[00:38:41] sound right.
[00:38:42] Like, if I listen to someone
[00:38:44] for a while,
[00:38:44] I'll hear their voices
[00:38:45] and then it just comes out.
[00:38:47] So, sometimes...
[00:38:48] Gotcha.
[00:38:49] The laughter is one thing
[00:38:51] that I've...
[00:38:52] That, you know,
[00:38:52] it's like for everybody.
[00:38:54] You'd be like...
[00:38:57] Yes!
[00:38:58] Shrek!
[00:38:59] Listen, Shrek!
[00:38:59] Nah!
[00:39:00] I can't hardly hear myself.
[00:39:02] Hold on.
[00:39:04] Yes!
[00:39:06] I wouldn't go in there
[00:39:06] if I was you, Shrek!
[00:39:08] Yes!
[00:39:10] It's different elements.
[00:39:11] I haven't listened to it
[00:39:12] in a while, but...
[00:39:14] Yeah.
[00:39:15] I don't think my impressions...
[00:39:16] I guess that's why
[00:39:17] I don't do them
[00:39:18] on stage.
[00:39:18] It's often...
[00:39:19] Because I don't...
[00:39:20] I have to listen to someone
[00:39:22] for so long
[00:39:22] and I don't want to...
[00:39:24] I get...
[00:39:25] Gotcha.
[00:39:26] I get there...
[00:39:27] What's your favorite
[00:39:27] impression to do?
[00:39:31] Probably Cat Williams
[00:39:33] just because I'm...
[00:39:34] It just comes...
[00:39:35] I've seen them so much
[00:39:36] over the years
[00:39:36] like from...
[00:39:38] Watching the movies
[00:39:38] like the Fridays
[00:39:39] and stuff like that.
[00:39:41] And I was...
[00:39:42] As when I grew up...
[00:39:43] As I was growing up younger
[00:39:44] when those movies
[00:39:46] were first coming out
[00:39:47] I was...
[00:39:49] I was a huge fan
[00:39:50] of watching those movies
[00:39:51] with my homies
[00:39:53] so...
[00:39:55] Have you heard...
[00:39:58] Go ahead.
[00:39:59] Go ahead.
[00:39:59] What'd you say?
[00:40:02] Look, Pimpin'.
[00:40:05] I don't...
[00:40:06] I was just gonna see
[00:40:07] if you knew
[00:40:07] what it sounded like.
[00:40:08] I really was.
[00:40:09] I really was.
[00:40:13] Pimpin'.
[00:40:15] Pimpin'.
[00:40:17] Nah.
[00:40:18] It's probably gotten
[00:40:19] bad over the years
[00:40:20] because I don't do it
[00:40:21] as often but...
[00:40:22] It's fun to do
[00:40:23] when I see people...
[00:40:25] That...
[00:40:26] That was a good
[00:40:27] Cat Williams.
[00:40:29] That was.
[00:40:30] I appreciate you.
[00:40:30] I really do.
[00:40:34] I thought Dan Soder
[00:40:36] had a good one
[00:40:36] but that was...
[00:40:37] I believe that
[00:40:38] tops that.
[00:40:39] It's rusty so...
[00:40:42] No, that was good.
[00:40:45] And the Eddie Murphy
[00:40:47] impression was good too.
[00:40:48] Yeah.
[00:40:49] Have you seen...
[00:40:50] So have...
[00:40:51] Have you seen
[00:40:52] the new Beverly Hills Cop?
[00:40:53] I have.
[00:40:54] Speaking of Eddie Murphy?
[00:40:55] Nah, I ain't man.
[00:40:56] I haven't seen it.
[00:40:57] Gotcha.
[00:40:58] It's a...
[00:40:59] Look, you got...
[00:40:59] See, you ain't got no kids.
[00:41:01] You ain't got...
[00:41:01] You don't got shit
[00:41:01] to do all day.
[00:41:04] You be gonna work
[00:41:05] and you be trying to figure out...
[00:41:06] I wonder what to do.
[00:41:07] They be wanting to spend time
[00:41:09] and do all this other stuff
[00:41:10] and I be working
[00:41:11] and then I gotta come back
[00:41:13] and then gotta do all this other...
[00:41:15] Fix all the shit they broke
[00:41:16] while I was gone.
[00:41:20] So you don't...
[00:41:21] You don't be having time
[00:41:22] to watch Netflix
[00:41:23] and stuff.
[00:41:24] It's usually...
[00:41:24] You're just always...
[00:41:25] It's usually...
[00:41:26] On the go.
[00:41:27] It is, man.
[00:41:28] Like, all...
[00:41:28] All right, this is...
[00:41:29] So my schedule...
[00:41:31] Like, tonight I would have...
[00:41:34] After I have...
[00:41:35] I've been gone to...
[00:41:37] I've been at the comedy club
[00:41:38] for the last few hours.
[00:41:39] I just made it back home, so...
[00:41:41] And I haven't...
[00:41:43] And I left before...
[00:41:46] My kids got out of...
[00:41:47] My youngest son got out of daycare
[00:41:51] and then my oldest son
[00:41:52] came back from...
[00:41:54] From his grandma's house, so...
[00:41:56] This is it.
[00:41:57] And so, well, then...
[00:41:59] You know, you got
[00:42:00] people moving around
[00:42:01] and we're planning to be...
[00:42:03] Preparing to leave out
[00:42:04] for a casino
[00:42:06] on Wednesday
[00:42:07] and we're going from
[00:42:09] Wednesday through Sunday.
[00:42:12] So it's like a...
[00:42:13] You gotta prep
[00:42:15] and be prepared
[00:42:16] to be gone for that long
[00:42:17] along with kids.
[00:42:18] So it's just...
[00:42:19] And then writing
[00:42:21] and then...
[00:42:22] The marketing
[00:42:24] from the business
[00:42:26] portion.
[00:42:28] And then this...
[00:42:32] The...
[00:42:32] The...
[00:42:33] The actual...
[00:42:34] Videos.
[00:42:36] So, you know, content
[00:42:37] to...
[00:42:39] And that's...
[00:42:41] The one section.
[00:42:42] Then show production stuff.
[00:42:43] So we got show...
[00:42:44] Other shows coming up.
[00:42:46] So I'm getting all the...
[00:42:47] Arranging all the...
[00:42:48] Stuff shows for the...
[00:42:49] Shows that I've produced.
[00:42:51] So...
[00:42:52] And I'm adding...
[00:42:54] I'm adding new locations.
[00:42:56] Uh...
[00:43:00] Probably...
[00:43:00] Probably in a year...
[00:43:02] I'm looking to probably
[00:43:03] have about 10.
[00:43:04] If I can get...
[00:43:05] But I...
[00:43:06] It just really depends
[00:43:07] on the scheduling for it.
[00:43:08] So...
[00:43:09] Like Spindale location.
[00:43:10] I have a location
[00:43:11] in Troy, Alabama.
[00:43:13] And then there's other locations
[00:43:15] I'm currently...
[00:43:15] Uh...
[00:43:16] Working on...
[00:43:17] Working deals with now.
[00:43:18] So...
[00:43:18] It's just kind of...
[00:43:20] Figuring out where...
[00:43:22] And then also...
[00:43:23] Get ready to...
[00:43:24] Uh...
[00:43:25] I'm preparing to go
[00:43:26] start back doing
[00:43:27] the college market too.
[00:43:28] So...
[00:43:29] It's just...
[00:43:30] Uh...
[00:43:32] And...
[00:43:32] Yeah man...
[00:43:33] It's just a budget...
[00:43:34] One thing after the next.
[00:43:37] Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom.
[00:43:39] So...
[00:43:40] Either you slow...
[00:43:41] So yeah...
[00:43:41] I...
[00:43:42] I watched it
[00:43:43] on Netflix.
[00:43:44] And this might be
[00:43:46] a hot take.
[00:43:47] But I thought
[00:43:48] it was the best one
[00:43:49] out of all of them.
[00:43:50] And I said that
[00:43:51] on John's show earlier.
[00:43:53] And he's like...
[00:43:53] Get out of here.
[00:43:55] Yeah, John's like
[00:43:58] get out of here.
[00:43:59] I don't...
[00:44:00] I don't wanna...
[00:44:00] Bring your...
[00:44:01] Young ass...
[00:44:02] Bring it up...
[00:44:03] All the new stuff
[00:44:05] is the better stuff.
[00:44:09] It's like no...
[00:44:10] It's not as good
[00:44:11] as the...
[00:44:12] Older ones.
[00:44:13] And I just...
[00:44:14] I thought it was.
[00:44:15] LeBron or Jordan?
[00:44:16] Let's go get it out the way.
[00:44:18] Jordan.
[00:44:19] Okay.
[00:44:21] No debate.
[00:44:21] Jordan.
[00:44:23] Okay.
[00:44:23] I mean dude
[00:44:24] won...
[00:44:24] Dude won six rings
[00:44:26] and didn't lose
[00:44:28] in the NBA finals.
[00:44:30] Okay.
[00:44:31] And LeBron
[00:44:31] lost in the NBA finals.
[00:44:34] How many times?
[00:44:36] Twice?
[00:44:37] I think.
[00:44:38] Home Alone
[00:44:38] or Matilda?
[00:44:41] Home Alone.
[00:44:42] Home Alone.
[00:44:43] Easy.
[00:44:43] That's an easy one.
[00:44:45] Macaulay Culkin
[00:44:45] all the way
[00:44:46] over whatever
[00:44:47] that white chick's
[00:44:48] name is.
[00:44:50] So yeah,
[00:44:51] Home Alone.
[00:44:52] 100%.
[00:44:53] You don't like
[00:44:53] Matilda?
[00:44:54] Oh.
[00:44:58] I like Matilda
[00:45:00] but over
[00:45:01] Home Alone?
[00:45:02] Mm-mm.
[00:45:03] All right.
[00:45:04] Macaulay
[00:45:05] putting them
[00:45:06] two up against
[00:45:07] each other.
[00:45:08] Yeah.
[00:45:08] Home Alone all the way.
[00:45:09] Oh Isaiah.
[00:45:10] We just gonna
[00:45:10] throw pop questions
[00:45:11] out to him
[00:45:12] to see what he into.
[00:45:16] That might be
[00:45:16] what we have
[00:45:17] to start doing
[00:45:17] this or that
[00:45:18] and people can
[00:45:19] just start bashing me
[00:45:20] because like I said
[00:45:22] I thought
[00:45:22] the newest
[00:45:23] Beverly Hills cop
[00:45:25] is the
[00:45:27] best one
[00:45:28] out of all of them.
[00:45:28] Yeah.
[00:45:29] Look.
[00:45:29] But now
[00:45:30] it's not my
[00:45:30] it's not my
[00:45:31] favorite Eddie Murphy
[00:45:32] movie
[00:45:32] but just out of
[00:45:34] those films
[00:45:35] I think
[00:45:36] it was the best one.
[00:45:37] I got you.
[00:45:39] Yeah.
[00:45:39] We're gonna
[00:45:40] because my favorite
[00:45:41] if I was to
[00:45:42] create a Mount Rushmore
[00:45:45] coming to America
[00:45:47] at number one
[00:45:49] easy
[00:45:51] and then
[00:45:53] I know it's
[00:45:54] a newer one
[00:45:55] but Dolomite
[00:45:56] is my name
[00:45:57] has to be
[00:45:57] in there somewhere.
[00:45:59] Dolomite go hard.
[00:46:01] Way down
[00:46:02] in the jungle
[00:46:03] deep.
[00:46:06] You know
[00:46:06] something
[00:46:07] that's very
[00:46:07] interesting
[00:46:08] that you said
[00:46:08] that's kind of
[00:46:09] how
[00:46:09] how my
[00:46:12] how my
[00:46:13] approach
[00:46:14] to how
[00:46:14] I do this
[00:46:16] Carmen game
[00:46:16] was
[00:46:16] the hustle
[00:46:17] in that mode
[00:46:19] I'll do a show
[00:46:20] if I needed
[00:46:22] to record
[00:46:23] something
[00:46:23] I'll record
[00:46:23] that shit
[00:46:24] in my living room
[00:46:26] so
[00:46:27] I just put it
[00:46:28] together
[00:46:28] so
[00:46:30] that's pretty
[00:46:30] cool.
[00:46:31] Yeah he would
[00:46:31] record
[00:46:32] anywhere
[00:46:33] like his
[00:46:33] stand up
[00:46:34] and stuff
[00:46:34] Rudy Ray
[00:46:35] Moore
[00:46:36] but yeah
[00:46:37] that's one
[00:46:38] of my
[00:46:38] favorite
[00:46:38] Eddie Murphy
[00:46:39] movies
[00:46:39] but
[00:46:40] Coming to
[00:46:41] America
[00:46:41] is without
[00:46:43] a doubt
[00:46:43] my favorite
[00:46:44] one
[00:46:45] so
[00:46:45] if
[00:46:47] I had to
[00:46:48] do a
[00:46:49] Mount Rushmore
[00:46:49] Coming to
[00:46:50] America
[00:46:50] number one
[00:46:54] number two
[00:46:56] probably
[00:46:56] 48 hours
[00:46:59] and then
[00:47:00] Shrek
[00:47:00] at my
[00:47:01] three
[00:47:01] and then
[00:47:02] Dolomite
[00:47:02] at my
[00:47:03] four
[00:47:03] I wouldn't
[00:47:04] go in there
[00:47:05] if I was
[00:47:05] you Shrek
[00:47:09] all right
[00:47:11] let me see
[00:47:12] I like
[00:47:14] definitely
[00:47:15] go with
[00:47:16] Trading
[00:47:16] Places
[00:47:18] Mortimer
[00:47:19] we're back
[00:47:21] let me see
[00:47:24] and then
[00:47:24] they make
[00:47:24] the cameo
[00:47:25] in Coming
[00:47:26] to America
[00:47:26] when he
[00:47:27] gives them
[00:47:27] all that
[00:47:27] money
[00:47:28] I mean
[00:47:30] he got
[00:47:30] brilliant
[00:47:31] in doing
[00:47:32] the way
[00:47:33] he put
[00:47:33] together
[00:47:34] the movies
[00:47:35] I mean
[00:47:36] the way
[00:47:36] I don't know
[00:47:37] if he wrote
[00:47:37] them or
[00:47:38] whoever wrote
[00:47:38] them in
[00:47:39] but they did
[00:47:39] a great job
[00:47:40] in linking
[00:47:42] them together
[00:47:42] like kind of
[00:47:43] like Marvel
[00:47:43] movies
[00:47:44] how you gotta
[00:47:44] wait at the
[00:47:45] end of the
[00:47:45] movie
[00:47:45] you know
[00:47:46] through all
[00:47:47] the credits
[00:47:49] and people
[00:47:50] sit there
[00:47:50] and wait
[00:47:51] I'm like
[00:47:51] oh these
[00:47:52] people
[00:47:52] rookies
[00:47:52] they don't
[00:47:53] mean they
[00:47:53] watch the
[00:47:54] Marvel movies
[00:47:54] and then
[00:47:55] as the credits
[00:47:56] come up
[00:47:56] they see
[00:47:57] that last
[00:47:58] little piece
[00:47:58] of movie
[00:47:59] at the end
[00:48:00] you're shaking
[00:48:01] your head
[00:48:01] like you didn't
[00:48:02] know this
[00:48:02] Isaiah
[00:48:03] I think I
[00:48:03] just
[00:48:04] oh yeah
[00:48:06] I know
[00:48:06] exactly what
[00:48:08] you're talking
[00:48:08] about
[00:48:08] because I
[00:48:09] will sit
[00:48:09] I haven't
[00:48:10] seen
[00:48:11] a Marvel
[00:48:12] movie
[00:48:13] since
[00:48:13] Endgame
[00:48:15] so it's
[00:48:16] been a
[00:48:17] minute
[00:48:17] but I
[00:48:17] know what
[00:48:18] you're
[00:48:18] talking
[00:48:18] about
[00:48:18] sitting
[00:48:19] right to
[00:48:20] the very
[00:48:20] end
[00:48:21] to see
[00:48:21] what's
[00:48:22] going to
[00:48:22] happen
[00:48:22] in the
[00:48:23] next
[00:48:24] one
[00:48:25] and most
[00:48:26] people
[00:48:26] like
[00:48:27] leave
[00:48:27] the
[00:48:27] theaters
[00:48:28] and
[00:48:29] there's
[00:48:29] only
[00:48:29] like
[00:48:29] 10
[00:48:30] people
[00:48:30] in there
[00:48:31] just
[00:48:31] to see
[00:48:32] you know
[00:48:32] what's
[00:48:32] going to
[00:48:32] happen
[00:48:33] yeah
[00:48:37] thanks
[00:48:37] thanks for
[00:48:38] listening
[00:48:38] to the
[00:48:38] unplanned
[00:48:39] and
[00:48:39] unashamed
[00:48:39] podcast
[00:48:40] if you like
[00:48:41] what you've
[00:48:41] heard
[00:48:42] make sure
[00:48:42] to subscribe
[00:48:43] rate
[00:48:43] review
[00:48:44] and follow
[00:48:45] and we'll
[00:48:46] see you on
[00:48:46] the next
[00:48:47] episode
