[00:00:57] of shows that we would love for you to go check out comedy, entrepreneurship, caring for

[00:01:03] agent parents and most importantly, what's up with North Carolina and Hickory in particular?

[00:01:10] So what's up with Hickory in particular? You're asking me.

[00:01:13] Yeah. I thought there was some other podcast that I didn't know. I thought it was a pause.

[00:01:17] I thought it was build up for something. In podcasting that's called Segways.

[00:01:20] No, you did some work on that. I missed it. No, you didn't. I missed it.

[00:01:24] I think we missed it. Yeah, well, I definitely did.

[00:01:27] Don't look at me out of the answer either.

[00:01:30] It's one of those things where we don't do this for a living or do we?

[00:01:33] Do we podcast for a living? No, well, thankfully.

[00:01:36] I mean, Mark and I have day jobs.

[00:01:38] Yeah, thank goodness. We all have, we all wear different hats around.

[00:01:41] Exactly. So what's been going on in your lives, man? How's the fan?

[00:01:46] Oh, well, you know, good spring breaks coming into the school year.

[00:01:50] It's all that wonderful stuff wrapping up.

[00:01:52] Exculectivities, kid activity, sports, all that great thing.

[00:01:55] Well, there's warming up. Thank goodness.

[00:01:58] Yeah, we're getting there.

[00:01:59] Yeah.

[00:01:59] Mark, how's everything in your world, bro?

[00:02:01] Going great. We're running full blast over there.

[00:02:03] Yeah, that's great.

[00:02:04] As a big baseball fan, I'm glad Major League Baseball finally worked out

[00:02:08] of their issues back on the field.

[00:02:10] The billionaire is a millionaire split in our money.

[00:02:13] That's right.

[00:02:14] So I'm glad they finally figured out how they're going to divide out all of our money.

[00:02:17] It's not happy, but it'll work.

[00:02:19] Yeah, they'll figure it out.

[00:02:20] So someone formerly in the minor league baseball ranks was

[00:02:23] the strike going to directly affect minor league teams too,

[00:02:27] or was it just for the Major League clubs?

[00:02:29] It was technically a lockout.

[00:02:30] Well, I mean, they're all connected and

[00:02:32] because the owner's locked the players out.

[00:02:34] The player's going strike.

[00:02:35] Right.

[00:02:36] So just in case anybody's out there listening to make sure we get that correct.

[00:02:39] Surely.

[00:02:40] But it was not though.

[00:02:41] The cradads were playing it on playing.

[00:02:42] So all the only thing it would affect it if players were on the 40 man roster,

[00:02:46] they would not been able to play which at this level,

[00:02:49] high a chance of you having on somebody on the 40 man roster.

[00:02:52] That's on the 40 man roster at any point last year?

[00:02:54] No, they have to currently are on the when the lockout,

[00:02:56] the day the lockout hit their 40 man was if you were on the

[00:02:59] yeah, it was basically their 40 man roster was frozen at that point.

[00:03:02] So mostly some triple A possibilities more than like that?

[00:03:05] Yeah, triple A.

[00:03:06] Triple A guys maybe a couple double A guys,

[00:03:08] but probably no cradads most likely.

[00:03:12] So yeah, they wouldn't affect the cradads at all.

[00:03:14] They were rare and to go regardless.

[00:03:16] Might actually have done them a little bit of a deal a bit of good.

[00:03:19] You know, if you don't have big leagues going people might go to more my league games,

[00:03:23] but it all work out.

[00:03:24] When does that season start?

[00:03:25] Is it getting ready kickoff?

[00:03:27] Kickoff first pitch.

[00:03:28] First pitch kickoff kickoff.

[00:03:30] Kickoff first pitch.

[00:03:31] They actually played on Tuesday the 29th.

[00:03:35] The play against LR.

[00:03:35] Well, they didn't play but AppState played UNC Asheville out there.

[00:03:39] Okay.

[00:03:39] On that night and then they play the cradads pay LR on Tuesday the 5th.

[00:03:46] And then they're open on the road on Friday the 8th.

[00:03:49] Okay.

[00:03:50] And they open it home on Tuesday the 12th at 6 o'clock actually.

[00:03:54] Dollar hot dog and $2.

[00:03:56] This may be our I'm not even getting this man does not even have the schedule up.

[00:04:02] I like getting every music video.

[00:04:04] It's going to be hard for me to recite those dates like that.

[00:04:07] Well, you live it after after after 12 seasons.

[00:04:10] You know, after you do 12 summers and

[00:04:13] sure some 12 seasons of music,

[00:04:15] you're gonna you're gonna know 100% you'll know what Lord Willen and the Creek don't rise.

[00:04:19] There you go.

[00:04:20] For sure.

[00:04:22] Yeah, I'm looking forward to going back out to the ballpark this year.

[00:04:25] Just seen like we with COVID and everything else last couple years

[00:04:28] that we were it was it was stunted.

[00:04:30] It was weird.

[00:04:31] It was weird.

[00:04:32] It was open.

[00:04:33] It was still just weird.

[00:04:34] It was just it was hot.

[00:04:35] People weren't showing up or do they wear masks?

[00:04:37] I don't know.

[00:04:38] Yeah, I was just.

[00:04:38] Some seats were taped.

[00:04:40] It was just a weird deal.

[00:04:41] I got a message for Douglas.

[00:04:43] They're coming.

[00:04:44] They're coming.

[00:04:45] They're coming.

[00:04:45] They're going to be there.

[00:04:46] I went to that abstract game.

[00:04:47] There's about a thousand people there.

[00:04:49] Nice.

[00:04:49] A lot of a lot of black and gold there.

[00:04:51] Yeah, so I'm like there was like like a thousand people.

[00:04:54] There are 997 black and gold and three people in blue for UNC Asheville.

[00:04:59] What's our stadium hold?

[00:05:00] Helpy friends.

[00:05:01] It holds about 3500 fix seats, but when you do picnic space and

[00:05:06] sweets and some of those areas you can get about 5,000 in there.

[00:05:09] That's awesome.

[00:05:12] Are the events at the Crawl Dad Stadium?

[00:05:16] Are we going to do any more events there besides baseball this year?

[00:05:20] They do have some things planned I believe.

[00:05:22] And most of those events are really run by them, not by the city.

[00:05:25] Okay, right.

[00:05:26] I didn't know if the stadium's having that.

[00:05:27] They have some they'll do some showcase events.

[00:05:30] They're looking at doing they've talked about doing some concerts and whatnot.

[00:05:33] I don't know if any of that stuff's really planned paying down to this point.

[00:05:36] I gotcha.

[00:05:37] Yeah, they um I had the privilege to be a Rodi for Willie Nelson back in.

[00:05:42] I believe it was back in the day.

[00:05:44] It was 1999.

[00:05:46] It was when uh when that show happened

[00:05:49] and Willie had a you know his his road crew were essentially

[00:05:55] temp workers from the city that he was currently touring in.

[00:05:59] So they would pull up in two 18 wheeler trucks and Willie's bus and show

[00:06:04] and say all right boys, there's about 20 of your year.

[00:06:07] You got about a 24 hour shift and we set that stage up on a Thursday night.

[00:06:12] I believe he played Friday and it might have been that he shut up Friday night.

[00:06:14] They played Saturday and he was broke down.

[00:06:17] The stages broke down and they were all often running before

[00:06:19] sun up on Sunday morning.

[00:06:20] It was crazy.

[00:06:21] I believe it was something's up in a rolling quick.

[00:06:24] You would have been a young buck back back.

[00:06:26] You were a student, right?

[00:06:27] Yeah, I was probably not even 19.

[00:06:30] Wow.

[00:06:30] Yeah, it was it was a lot of fun.

[00:06:32] It was a lot of fun.

[00:06:33] Don't get caught up on Willie's tour bus.

[00:06:34] Let me tell you that.

[00:06:38] Now we're headed in the right direction.

[00:06:39] We'll share a little bit more about that.

[00:06:41] Yeah, I didn't have the privilege but you could you could tell

[00:06:43] they were having a good time on that bus.

[00:06:45] We were too busy,

[00:06:46] a hump in amps and stage platforms and everything else.

[00:06:50] That was a good time to fill up.

[00:06:52] Go into that show.

[00:06:53] Leave me a comment here on the on the on the Facebook.

[00:06:58] There's a lot of things rolling in the city of Hickory right now.

[00:07:02] Not just city of Hickory Proper but

[00:07:04] Bruce and Meister Park tell us a little bit about that.

[00:07:07] That park is getting right to open April 8th.

[00:07:09] We have a grand opening at 1 p.m.

[00:07:12] And looking forward to that obviously.

[00:07:14] Obviously Bruce will be out there and we'll be cutting the ribbon on that thing

[00:07:17] getting that that pen rolling.

[00:07:18] It's just the very first stage.

[00:07:20] There's a picnic shelter, a little walk in trail.

[00:07:23] Obviously a parking lot.

[00:07:24] So there'll be more to come down the road.

[00:07:26] No set plans there.

[00:07:28] There was plans put in place in the past.

[00:07:29] And so a lot of those things will probably come back to fruition

[00:07:32] but it was a little while ago so probably

[00:07:34] engage the public again when it comes time to do the next phase.

[00:07:37] Maybe there's been some discussion about maybe like a cross-country trail

[00:07:41] back in through the woods through there.

[00:07:42] That is really not one in the city of Hickory for the high schools

[00:07:46] and like LR and things like that

[00:07:48] so there's some opportunity maybe

[00:07:49] some discussion along those lines

[00:07:51] and there was like San volleyball was talked about,

[00:07:54] Batchy Courts, a bunch of different things.

[00:07:56] Mountain biking is always brought up lately.

[00:07:58] Mountain biking you probably couldn't do the cross-country

[00:08:00] and the mountain biking.

[00:08:01] If it's a specific cross-country running trail

[00:08:05] just because I mean there's a lot of space

[00:08:07] but you know a lot of upkeep for your folks to do

[00:08:10] if that was the case.

[00:08:11] That's right, absolutely.

[00:08:12] So those mountain bike trails take a lot of work.

[00:08:15] Oh certainly.

[00:08:16] We have one coming up in the southeast part of the county, right?

[00:08:19] In Sherylsport I think the county is coming up with a new park

[00:08:22] and I think he's got some dedicated mountain bike trails

[00:08:25] that people are excited about.

[00:08:26] I wish I knew more my wife's on the one of the county parks groups

[00:08:30] but I represent Hickory Parks.

[00:08:32] So that's the one.

[00:08:33] So you know we're a little friendly competition.

[00:08:36] You can have the parks covered in the area.

[00:08:36] Exactly.

[00:08:38] We need them.

[00:08:40] They're awesome.

[00:08:40] I had got until I got on the parks and right

[00:08:43] can sports tourism.

[00:08:44] Let me get that whole thing out.

[00:08:45] Good luck with that.

[00:08:46] It's a mouthful.

[00:08:47] How many parks do we have in the city of Hickory?

[00:08:49] On April 8th we'll have 27.

[00:08:51] 27.

[00:08:52] That's impressive.

[00:08:52] Would you have guessed that?

[00:08:53] That's low.

[00:08:54] Low.

[00:08:55] Me if you want.

[00:08:55] Yeah, first city 40,000 people.

[00:08:57] There's nothing to do with it.

[00:08:58] We have like one park per 1,500 people.

[00:09:02] Yeah, that's crazy.

[00:09:03] I had no idea about that.

[00:09:04] Enough to spread out for sure.

[00:09:05] Yeah, absolutely.

[00:09:07] Speaking of, and I was going to ask you that we're

[00:09:08] sitting there talking about this at lunch today.

[00:09:10] What are we going to talk about today?

[00:09:12] We talked about the park.

[00:09:14] Now, of course, move some man of many hats.

[00:09:18] You have a new venture.

[00:09:20] I don't know how much you've talked about this on the pod

[00:09:22] or just in product.

[00:09:23] We just passed it.

[00:09:24] Yeah, just kind of like what's been going on

[00:09:26] in your world type situation.

[00:09:27] I'm excited.

[00:09:28] Of course, you're a man of live music.

[00:09:30] Moose and friends and moose and best friends

[00:09:32] and all these other things.

[00:09:33] All my best friends that play with you

[00:09:34] and have a good time.

[00:09:36] So music's always been a part of your life and a passion

[00:09:39] and you have the hum.

[00:09:41] Actually, you're working with a hickory.

[00:09:43] We have the hum.

[00:09:44] We get to enjoy it.

[00:09:45] You get to work.

[00:09:47] I do.

[00:09:47] Tell us about what's going on there.

[00:09:49] There's a lot of fun stuff.

[00:09:49] Yeah, a lot of fun stuff happening.

[00:09:51] So if just a high level information here

[00:09:55] about what we've covered before,

[00:09:58] myself and three other fellows have decided

[00:10:01] that we were going to take

[00:10:04] a green space in Hickory that was not really

[00:10:08] a green space yet and we made it into a green space

[00:10:11] to create the hum.

[00:10:13] It's an outdoor amphitheater

[00:10:15] and it's located across the street

[00:10:16] from what we're sitting right now.

[00:10:17] That's on Second Avenue Southwest,

[00:10:20] block east from the police station

[00:10:24] and we're going to-

[00:10:25] I like how much you're marker.

[00:10:26] I know.

[00:10:27] It is.

[00:10:27] It is.

[00:10:28] Everybody knows what the police station is.

[00:10:29] So don't get rowdy.

[00:10:32] We are super excited.

[00:10:33] Our first event is Saturday night.

[00:10:36] We are having a journey tribute band

[00:10:38] drop off our fire there and take us

[00:10:40] around so now.

[00:10:41] And we've got-

[00:10:43] we've only announced 12 shows to the public,

[00:10:46] but we have because of radius calls

[00:10:48] and everything with the music acts,

[00:10:50] we can't announce the entire schedule yet,

[00:10:53] but we have 26 events built April through October.

[00:10:56] And we were engaging North Carolina breweries

[00:11:01] in wineries and food trucks.

[00:11:03] And this Saturday night,

[00:11:05] we have the opportunity to also

[00:11:11] be a-

[00:11:12] what's the word I'm looking for?

[00:11:14] I don't know.

[00:11:15] I know words get you the most.

[00:11:16] Yeah, it does.

[00:11:16] It's where it's out at this point.

[00:11:18] I'm just going to-

[00:11:18] Is it a collaborative effort or is it a-

[00:11:20] It's a collaborative effort

[00:11:20] if multiple things going on?

[00:11:22] It is a collaborative effort

[00:11:23] between the NCAA Final Four and the Hum.

[00:11:26] And we're going to have-

[00:11:27] Well, it was nice of them

[00:11:29] to schedule North Carolina Duke

[00:11:31] so you can have that on the screen for folks.

[00:11:32] That's right.

[00:11:33] That's right.

[00:11:34] One way to put it, Mark,

[00:11:34] because we knew the schedule for the Final Four

[00:11:36] like years ago, but-

[00:11:37] Continue.

[00:11:38] What are two teams?

[00:11:39] Yeah, exactly.

[00:11:39] For sure.

[00:11:40] When everybody in this state is concerned about that game

[00:11:43] for this particular area,

[00:11:44] so which of the best?

[00:11:45] So people want to go to the concert

[00:11:46] and then they can see this in the-

[00:11:47] Which was where I call her a blue.

[00:11:48] Right, listen to the commentators.

[00:11:50] That's right.

[00:11:51] And I'll tell-

[00:11:51] And I'll tell you this-

[00:11:53] We know that there's always going to be off schools

[00:11:56] and there's always going to be other things to do.

[00:11:58] We get that.

[00:11:59] We're not going to pull an Eric Church

[00:12:01] where he just straight up-

[00:12:03] Chance fired, I believe.

[00:12:05] Chance fired.

[00:12:05] Just straight up cancelled a concert.

[00:12:07] Just straight up cancelled his concert

[00:12:09] so he could watch the Carolina Duke game.

[00:12:11] Now I will say this-

[00:12:13] That never crossed our mind to do that.

[00:12:16] And I'm really surprised that he would

[00:12:19] and I know Eric Church is a local guy

[00:12:20] and everything, so I don't want to poop him too hard.

[00:12:22] But you got to think people traveled from all over

[00:12:25] the place to come see you.

[00:12:26] People bought tickets.

[00:12:28] They bought hotel rooms.

[00:12:29] They bought flights.

[00:12:30] They brought-

[00:12:30] You know, everything else in time.

[00:12:33] So like that was kind of-

[00:12:36] I mean, not-

[00:12:37] Well, I'll say this is-

[00:12:38] I just kind of-

[00:12:38] We can't-

[00:12:38] Ah, I thought-

[00:12:39] How many folks, of course, like you said, it's outside

[00:12:41] but this is an offensive area.

[00:12:43] It's not seating.

[00:12:44] It's stand up right now.

[00:12:45] How many folks can you have in that venue?

[00:12:48] We have agreed with the City of Fickery

[00:12:50] to cap our attendance at a thousand.

[00:12:54] And honestly,

[00:12:56] our capacity probably could be three or four thousand.

[00:13:00] No problem.

[00:13:01] But it just gets into the logistics.

[00:13:02] We've got to work our way up to that-

[00:13:04] We will have to work our way to that point.

[00:13:07] If we have over a thousand people,

[00:13:08] we have to start having crowd managers

[00:13:10] and extra security

[00:13:13] and things like that which might be-

[00:13:16] We don't want to out kick our coverage

[00:13:17] or like my mom says, be too big for your bridges.

[00:13:20] Yes.

[00:13:20] So we're going to work towards that.

[00:13:22] Yeah.

[00:13:22] And-

[00:13:23] One thing-

[00:13:23] I think you can find a thousand folks

[00:13:25] that either are fine with missing the game

[00:13:27] or don't even know that the game is taking place.

[00:13:29] Let's be honest.

[00:13:30] I'm just being facetious here

[00:13:34] and I realize that sports don't matter as much

[00:13:39] to a lot of folks as it does to some but-

[00:13:42] Like I said, we realize

[00:13:43] that there's going to be conflicts all the time

[00:13:45] so we are going to have a great time on Saturday

[00:13:50] and every event following.

[00:13:53] Let me see this.

[00:13:53] Moose, what time-

[00:13:54] Showtime show start?

[00:13:56] Show starts at 7.30,

[00:13:57] towards 6.

[00:13:59] It's a-

[00:14:00] What's the length of the show?

[00:14:01] It's a-

[00:14:02] Three hours.

[00:14:03] All of our shows are roughly three hours.

[00:14:06] So you go 7.30 to 10.30 roughly?

[00:14:08] Yes. 7.30 to 10.30.

[00:14:10] We have told the city of Hickory that

[00:14:12] our venue will be quiet.

[00:14:14] I mean that, you know,

[00:14:16] the patrons might still be there

[00:14:17] until about 11 or so

[00:14:19] but the musical stop at 10.30, hard stop

[00:14:21] every week.

[00:14:22] If you wanted to, I just looked,

[00:14:24] the game is scheduled to start at 8.49.

[00:14:26] Wait, it's game two

[00:14:28] so it won't start at 8.49

[00:14:29] because the second game of the venue

[00:14:31] never starts on time.

[00:14:32] Right.

[00:14:33] So you very well could come to the concert.

[00:14:35] You might-

[00:14:36] You'll be able to see the first half.

[00:14:38] Right.

[00:14:38] You'll be able to see it

[00:14:39] and then probably going to end right around half time

[00:14:42] and then you could go to one of our

[00:14:44] lovely establishments downtown

[00:14:45] That's right.

[00:14:46] And watch the second half

[00:14:47] and that's a big Saturday right there.

[00:14:49] Markie took the words right out of my mouth

[00:14:51] but I mean there is-

[00:14:52] But there's nothing to do in Hickory.

[00:14:53] There's nothing to do in Hickory.

[00:14:54] So why choose?

[00:14:55] Why don't you just come to the venue

[00:14:57] watch some of the show,

[00:14:59] watch until, you know,

[00:15:01] mid-set, mid-second set or something like that

[00:15:03] and take off is fine.

[00:15:04] You're not going to hurt my feelings at all

[00:15:05] if you missed don't stop believing on core.

[00:15:07] You won't miss it.

[00:15:09] You might see what happens in the first half

[00:15:10] and go home and cry.

[00:15:11] That's also-

[00:15:12] Or you might stay

[00:15:13] and just kind of just walk that out

[00:15:15] and you maybe don't stop believing

[00:15:17] and might become your anthem

[00:15:18] depending on how things go.

[00:15:20] Or got forbid you just don't get on your phone

[00:15:22] and you just turn the DVR on

[00:15:25] and come to the show

[00:15:26] block it out media blackout

[00:15:28] now I do that a little time with Premier League

[00:15:30] so are you gonna have-

[00:15:31] Oh it's all right

[00:15:31] Are you is it going to be

[00:15:33] Are you going to have different sections

[00:15:34] or are you going to let Duke and Carolina fans mingle

[00:15:37] We want to see the fights of the death

[00:15:38] that's what we want to say.

[00:15:40] No, of course not

[00:15:40] It's going to be-

[00:15:42] You know, of course we are in music venue

[00:15:44] we're not a sports bar

[00:15:45] So we're going to have-

[00:15:46] We're going to have a screen out there

[00:15:48] with the games going

[00:15:50] so you can go and catch a little bit of it

[00:15:52] but you know our things music

[00:15:55] We just want to be accommodated

[00:15:56] as some folks

[00:15:57] we don't want the

[00:15:58] you know

[00:15:59] to be a driving factor

[00:16:00] if you have to choose one thing or another

[00:16:02] And there'll be a lot of folks

[00:16:03] Don't really care about the game

[00:16:04] I know some people find that hard to believe

[00:16:06] but they're really as people out there

[00:16:08] There's a good thing-

[00:16:08] That are all the people-

[00:16:09] Don't really

[00:16:10] Doesn't matter to them

[00:16:11] Yeah, imagine a sports didn't matter

[00:16:12] With your shows are you looking at it?

[00:16:13] Is it roughly about three a month

[00:16:16] Give or take-

[00:16:16] Before we're going to try-

[00:16:18] We're going to try to hit that sweet spot

[00:16:19] of once a week

[00:16:20] We got-

[00:16:20] Okay, so about-

[00:16:21] Once a month then-

[00:16:23] I mean once a week

[00:16:24] But it's going to average about four to five a month

[00:16:28] There's a few weeks

[00:16:29] that we're not going to throw shows

[00:16:31] And those weeks are Easter weekend

[00:16:34] Memorial Day July 4th

[00:16:36] October Fest

[00:16:38] City of Fickery's got a lot of things going on

[00:16:39] those on those weeks

[00:16:40] Or we figured that

[00:16:42] most people will be on vacation

[00:16:43] and we don't want to try to

[00:16:45] compete with a beach trip

[00:16:48] You know-

[00:16:48] Sure

[00:16:48] But you know our mission, our vision

[00:16:51] Our goal is to

[00:16:53] Bring music into town that

[00:16:55] Most folks haven't been able to see before

[00:16:57] You know and

[00:16:59] We're going to catch some up and coming

[00:17:01] Rosing,

[00:17:01] Rosing music acts

[00:17:03] That

[00:17:04] You know

[00:17:04] For for the price of admission

[00:17:07] You're probably not going to be able to see

[00:17:08] Those bands again for that cost

[00:17:11] And we've done a really good job

[00:17:13] of curating our schedule

[00:17:14] So we do have

[00:17:17] All types of music coming in

[00:17:19] We've got tribute bands

[00:17:20] We've got bluegrass

[00:17:20] We've got rock and roll acts

[00:17:22] Jam bands

[00:17:22] You know

[00:17:23] There's something for everybody

[00:17:24] And the beautiful part about

[00:17:26] What we're doing

[00:17:27] With

[00:17:28] You know I call it intentionality

[00:17:30] Right

[00:17:30] So everything that we do

[00:17:32] From ticket prices to the bands

[00:17:33] We bring into the food trucks

[00:17:34] We're doing to the

[00:17:35] To the beer we're serving

[00:17:36] Is all intentional

[00:17:37] So we want to make sure

[00:17:39] That

[00:17:39] You know

[00:17:40] Let's say

[00:17:41] For instance

[00:17:42] Next week we have

[00:17:43] The Monshers

[00:17:44] Which is a jam band on a Greensboro

[00:17:45] But they also do

[00:17:47] A Beastie boy set

[00:17:48] Right

[00:17:48] So we want to make it

[00:17:50] So you can spend

[00:17:52] A $15 ticket

[00:17:53] And come check these guys out

[00:17:54] And if you don't like it

[00:17:56] That's cool

[00:17:56] You only spend $15

[00:17:58] It's not a big deal

[00:17:58] So it's like

[00:17:59] We're going to give you the opportunity

[00:18:00] To be immersed in new stuff

[00:18:03] For at a fraction of the call

[00:18:04] Say $15 tickets

[00:18:05] That's awesome

[00:18:06] Yeah

[00:18:07] The journey band this weekend

[00:18:08] Is 15 bucks plus fees

[00:18:09] It's awesome

[00:18:09] 17 bucks

[00:18:10] Yeah

[00:18:10] I mean

[00:18:11] Go find

[00:18:12] And here's

[00:18:12] And here's what I thought

[00:18:14] And this is

[00:18:14] You spent more than

[00:18:15] On lunch today

[00:18:16] Then

[00:18:16] I spent $17 at lunch today

[00:18:18] We'll get to that

[00:18:19] We'll get to that

[00:18:20] You know

[00:18:21] It's

[00:18:22] It's like this

[00:18:23] I want to

[00:18:23] I put myself in

[00:18:26] In a couple of shoes

[00:18:27] Right

[00:18:27] My wife's always down

[00:18:28] To do whatever

[00:18:29] It's

[00:18:30] She's

[00:18:30] She's a lot of fun

[00:18:31] Shout out to actually

[00:18:32] So

[00:18:34] If I had a wife

[00:18:35] Say that wasn't as fun as my wife

[00:18:37] And say

[00:18:38] Hey

[00:18:38] Like

[00:18:39] I want to go to the show

[00:18:41] I know that

[00:18:41] You might not like the music

[00:18:42] But hey

[00:18:43] We've got a food trucks

[00:18:44] We have beer

[00:18:44] We have wine

[00:18:45] You know

[00:18:45] It's got something for everybody

[00:18:47] So if you might not even

[00:18:48] Necessarily

[00:18:48] If you even heard of the band

[00:18:50] You can come check them out

[00:18:51] For out of discount

[00:18:52] You know

[00:18:53] There's a lot of bands out there

[00:18:54] Or there

[00:18:54] Lot of shows

[00:18:55] On our schedule

[00:18:56] With their

[00:18:56] $10 tickets

[00:18:57] It's live

[00:18:57] Music outside

[00:18:58] It's live

[00:18:58] Music outside

[00:18:59] Y'all

[00:19:00] And we've been in our house

[00:19:00] For two years

[00:19:01] Come out and check us out

[00:19:02] So what's going to happen

[00:19:03] With the Moose and Friends

[00:19:04] That's probably going to cut

[00:19:05] Into your schedule

[00:19:06] A little bit

[00:19:06] I would imagine

[00:19:07] With these shows

[00:19:08] Uh

[00:19:08] Well, it's

[00:19:09] I'm a glutton for punishment

[00:19:11] Still just

[00:19:12] Opening every week

[00:19:13] Moose and Friends

[00:19:14] Moose and Friends

[00:19:15] That's really why you did this

[00:19:16] To get Moose and Friends

[00:19:17] You think I'm going to build a stage

[00:19:19] And not play it

[00:19:19] Or you can be

[00:19:21] Moose and Friends

[00:19:21] April 30th is the home

[00:19:22] Check it out

[00:19:23] It's tickets are on sale now

[00:19:24] At dom.live

[00:19:25] This is pretty good stage

[00:19:26] Moose and Friends are playing the home

[00:19:28] At all my April 30th

[00:19:29] With Reddirt

[00:19:30] Reddirt

[00:19:30] Reddirt

[00:19:31] Reddirt

[00:19:31] Reddirt

[00:19:32] And Danny Kerr

[00:19:33] So, skeleton

[00:19:34] Groot

[00:19:35] Only uh

[00:19:35] $78 ticket for the Moose and Friends show

[00:19:38] Yeah, Moose and Friends tickets

[00:19:38] We know our boundaries

[00:19:39] We're $10 ticket

[00:19:41] Yeah, but I tell you what

[00:19:43] The um

[00:19:44] We have we've had more impressions

[00:19:46] And more

[00:19:47] Interest in that show

[00:19:48] Than any other show

[00:19:49] That we have

[00:19:49] So far

[00:19:51] As far as impressions

[00:19:52] So

[00:19:52] People are strong

[00:19:53] They

[00:19:54] People know what they're

[00:19:55] Yeah, for sure

[00:19:56] It's awesome

[00:19:56] Yeah, we're excited

[00:19:57] I'm excited about it

[00:19:58] Like we talked about

[00:19:59] When you were even

[00:20:00] Talking about that concept

[00:20:01] And what was coming

[00:20:03] Outdoor

[00:20:04] Live music

[00:20:06] It's just

[00:20:06] On the cheek

[00:20:07] It's just awesome

[00:20:08] And guess what y'all

[00:20:09] I'm not charging

[00:20:10] Anybody $15 for a beer

[00:20:12] You know, you're gonna get

[00:20:13] And here's the beautiful part

[00:20:15] We want this to be

[00:20:16] A rustic style

[00:20:17] Music festival feel party

[00:20:19] In the middle of town

[00:20:21] You know, you're gonna get

[00:20:21] Can beer

[00:20:22] Craft domestic

[00:20:23] You're gonna have

[00:20:24] Peel top wines

[00:20:26] You're gonna have handheld

[00:20:27] Sandwiches

[00:20:28] From a food truck

[00:20:28] That's fantastic

[00:20:29] I've vetted them all

[00:20:32] Yeah, let me know if you need help

[00:20:33] Yeah, for sure

[00:20:34] Like this week we have

[00:20:35] JB's Rolling Beast Row

[00:20:36] And

[00:20:37] Enjoys

[00:20:38] She was the chef at Fort

[00:20:39] For a long time

[00:20:40] She was the chef at Rockborne

[00:20:42] And she's ventured out

[00:20:43] And is

[00:20:44] A food truck owner now

[00:20:46] This podcast is sponsored by Jackson Creative

[00:21:01] Jackson Creative, we tell your story

[00:21:04] And her food is

[00:21:06] Incredible good

[00:21:07] She's legit

[00:21:07] She's legit

[00:21:08] She is, I remember when we could go to Rockborne

[00:21:11] She was there

[00:21:11] She put out some good food

[00:21:13] Yeah, I mean there is

[00:21:14] One of Mark's phones, Ringing

[00:21:16] Mark does have two phones

[00:21:17] The burner

[00:21:18] We got a burner

[00:21:19] Is it City of Hickory, right?

[00:21:21] The department's burner, bro

[00:21:23] But now Joyce is absolutely fantastic

[00:21:26] She is

[00:21:28] Putting out

[00:21:29] A

[00:21:31] Just great stuff

[00:21:32] Every time I've had any of her food is just fantastic

[00:21:35] But yeah, we're having rotating food trucks

[00:21:38] We've got like I said, we've got 12 events announced publicly right now

[00:21:41] And we've have 12 different food trucks coming

[00:21:43] So what's the beer situation?

[00:21:44] City got a mix going on

[00:21:45] Yeah, so after

[00:21:48] Toil and trouble

[00:21:48] We have got our

[00:21:51] On-premise

[00:21:53] malt beverage

[00:21:54] And one unfortified wine permit

[00:21:55] Which means we can sell

[00:21:57] Beer up to a certain gravity level

[00:21:59] And wine up to a certain level

[00:22:01] Of alcohol by volume

[00:22:02] And we've engaged a couple different distributors

[00:22:06] So we're going to have

[00:22:07] Different rotating beers throughout

[00:22:09] There will be one staple

[00:22:11] We're going to have OHB at every show

[00:22:13] Nice

[00:22:14] Yeah, we want to make sure that our

[00:22:15] Our neighbors Jason Steven and OHB

[00:22:18] Always have space on our show

[00:22:20] So nice

[00:22:21] We've got

[00:22:23] For this show we're going to have a bunch of guitaral beers

[00:22:25] We've got OHB Pillsners

[00:22:27] We've got Sikamore beers on

[00:22:29] So it's going to be great

[00:22:31] It's going to be a lot of fun

[00:22:32] It's awesome

[00:22:32] And of course

[00:22:33] Budwazer King of the Year's is also going to be there

[00:22:36] That's awesome man

[00:22:37] Excited for you

[00:22:38] Excited for the area

[00:22:39] It's going to be a really

[00:22:41] Wonderful addition

[00:22:42] To the many options that you have

[00:22:44] Things to do here in Hickory

[00:22:45] So very excited

[00:22:46] In the timing

[00:22:47] I can only imagine the stress you had

[00:22:50] You know coming up with this during

[00:22:51] I don't know

[00:22:52] Global pandemic where everybody is

[00:22:54] But

[00:22:55] Now that it's kicking off

[00:22:56] And people are feeling a little more

[00:22:58] Frisky

[00:22:58] Get outside

[00:23:00] That's right

[00:23:01] And you know

[00:23:01] You're going to have plenty of rooms spread out

[00:23:03] Our place is enormous

[00:23:04] So if you are still kind of weary about being your own folks

[00:23:08] We've got corners inside

[00:23:09] We've got corners in this space

[00:23:10] Where you've got plenty of room to room

[00:23:12] Around like Drunken Buffalo

[00:23:13] One last piece of housekeeping

[00:23:15] So where do they park

[00:23:17] That's people

[00:23:17] I said we're going to have a part right up to me too

[00:23:19] Which there's plenty of parking around here

[00:23:20] People just don't realize it

[00:23:21] But there's plenty of parking

[00:23:22] All right buckle up Hickory

[00:23:23] You ready for this

[00:23:24] Okay, so

[00:23:26] We have a paid parking lot of Jason

[00:23:28] To the venue that

[00:23:30] Essentially you can put

[00:23:32] We can put about 80 cars

[00:23:33] 80 to 100 cars in there

[00:23:35] Which is we can fill

[00:23:37] Large swath of people in there

[00:23:39] And that's a $10 parking space

[00:23:41] And it's cash only

[00:23:42] So if you are

[00:23:43] Playing on utilizing

[00:23:44] We call it the VIP parking

[00:23:45] It's going to be $10 cash

[00:23:48] However

[00:23:50] Here's a very novel concept

[00:23:52] You can walk

[00:23:54] Two blocks

[00:23:55] Within

[00:23:56] There's within two blocks

[00:23:57] And walking distance

[00:23:58] Of our front door

[00:23:58] There's

[00:23:59] Essentially 400 parking spaces

[00:24:02] Publicly

[00:24:03] So if you go to shore

[00:24:04] If you go to ashful

[00:24:05] If you go to rally

[00:24:06] Any other city

[00:24:07] That you go see a concert

[00:24:08] You're prepared to walk

[00:24:10] Absolutely

[00:24:11] So it's just check

[00:24:12] And pay $30

[00:24:13] Well yeah for sure

[00:24:14] For sure

[00:24:14] So

[00:24:15] The concept is just a little bit different

[00:24:17] For Hickory

[00:24:18] I know that a lot of folks want to

[00:24:19] You know pull right up

[00:24:20] And that's fine

[00:24:22] However

[00:24:24] We're just going to have to

[00:24:25] For $10 you can

[00:24:27] For $10

[00:24:28] And I'm assuming that's where your handicap will be as well

[00:24:30] In that space

[00:24:31] No, our handicap parking is actually in front of our building

[00:24:34] And we have

[00:24:36] If you do need ADA accessibility

[00:24:38] We're going to have ushers

[00:24:39] That will be dedicated to you to help you

[00:24:41] So

[00:24:42] We've thought of everything

[00:24:44] Sounds like it

[00:24:45] And honestly it's just

[00:24:46] Because our ADA situation

[00:24:49] Is very steep grades around there

[00:24:51] So we're going to have to dedicate some people

[00:24:52] To be able to

[00:24:53] Have the accessibility for those folks

[00:24:55] Never fret

[00:24:57] We welcome all people

[00:24:59] And you can bring chairs

[00:25:00] Chairs of blankets are welcome

[00:25:01] Yeah

[00:25:02] But ladies

[00:25:03] I'm just going to throw those out there

[00:25:05] Leave your purses in the car

[00:25:06] Because we are a clear back facility

[00:25:08] Don't bring your purses in

[00:25:09] Because I don't want to have to go through them

[00:25:11] It's just a liability issue

[00:25:12] Just because of guns

[00:25:13] Fones and IDs

[00:25:14] Yeah, phones and IDs

[00:25:16] And cash

[00:25:18] We can take cards everywhere

[00:25:20] So we have

[00:25:22] Payment systems where you tap and tap and go

[00:25:25] And all that good stuff

[00:25:26] But I'm just going to tell everybody

[00:25:28] Don't wear good shoes to a long party

[00:25:31] Right? Like this is

[00:25:32] This is a

[00:25:33] Essential weather

[00:25:34] This is an outside venue

[00:25:35] Like we want you to be safe

[00:25:37] And wear good shoes

[00:25:39] You know if you want to get fancy

[00:25:40] You can put your fancy shoes on

[00:25:42] Heels won't be fun

[00:25:42] Heels unless you want to come out

[00:25:44] And how many airfah here

[00:25:46] You know where heels

[00:25:47] But please just don't wear heels

[00:25:48] Just what you would normally do

[00:25:50] Heels and be barefoot

[00:25:51] If you go to any outdoor venue

[00:25:52] That's basically the same thing

[00:25:54] Yeah, this is if we are not reinventing the wheel here

[00:25:56] No

[00:25:56] It's just we are

[00:25:58] Just putting new wheels in Hickory if you will

[00:26:00] So

[00:26:00] It'd be nice

[00:26:01] And there's plenty of parking around

[00:26:02] That's right

[00:26:03] Well enough about me y'all

[00:26:04] For real

[00:26:04] The just

[00:26:05] Yeah it is

[00:26:06] Now where can people find more information

[00:26:08] And be able to buy tickets and such

[00:26:09] All of our tickets are on sale

[00:26:11] At our website

[00:26:12] And as the hum.live

[00:26:13] Or they're on at e-tics

[00:26:15] e-tics.com

[00:26:16] Or you can

[00:26:17] Find links in our Instagram bio

[00:26:19] And Facebook

[00:26:20] And TikTok

[00:26:20] And all that good stuff

[00:26:21] And we are the hum hickory

[00:26:23] All in all socials

[00:26:24] So come see us

[00:26:25] We'll be fantastic

[00:26:26] Now it's enough

[00:26:27] Now enough about me

[00:26:29] So more new things in Hickory

[00:26:31] For each of our podcasts

[00:26:34] We do a food review for the most part

[00:26:37] And this week was no different

[00:26:39] But this week I actually reached out to

[00:26:41] A new friend of mine

[00:26:42] His name is Jesse Valdes

[00:26:43] And he owns

[00:26:44] The Cycar Delivery Service

[00:26:46] And their new

[00:26:48] Food Delivery Service in town

[00:26:49] If you

[00:26:50] They are

[00:26:51] Essentially a local grub hub

[00:26:52] And all that good stuff

[00:26:53] And he's a fantastic fellow

[00:26:56] He just joined the chamber

[00:26:56] So I know him through that

[00:26:59] He is providing

[00:27:02] Essentially food delivery service

[00:27:03] For all across Hickory

[00:27:05] And states fill in Morganton I believe

[00:27:07] And give a check him out

[00:27:08] I believe his website

[00:27:09] Or you can find him on the internet of course

[00:27:11] But I reached out to him

[00:27:13] To see

[00:27:15] To get a couple of food suggestions

[00:27:16] And all that

[00:27:17] And we put those in the bank

[00:27:18] So we're going to be

[00:27:19] Hitting those next time

[00:27:20] So I really do appreciate Jesse

[00:27:21] I'll tell him much study metal in the show

[00:27:22] So

[00:27:24] This week

[00:27:25] The three of us went to

[00:27:27] Hickory bread

[00:27:28] Hickory bread

[00:27:29] Right

[00:27:29] Is it Hickory bread companies

[00:27:31] Hickory bread

[00:27:32] Cafe

[00:27:33] Cafe

[00:27:34] Thank you

[00:27:34] May Morgan was a lot better

[00:27:35] She always had it

[00:27:36] Added down

[00:27:37] Well yeah, she would take pictures of the menu

[00:27:39] And take pictures of our food

[00:27:40] And we're just halfway done eating

[00:27:42] But let's just think about taking pictures

[00:27:43] Too busy eating to worry about that

[00:27:45] But yeah

[00:27:45] We'll share all the links on this

[00:27:46] So Hickory bread

[00:27:47] And they

[00:27:49] Got to when Atlanta bread closed

[00:27:51] In the off of

[00:27:53] Top of valuable of our

[00:27:54] And they're near the target shopping center across from

[00:27:57] I guess it's at the Mitsubishi dealership

[00:28:00] They

[00:28:01] Some

[00:28:02] Family two families

[00:28:03] I think it was two ladies that worked at Atlanta bread

[00:28:07] Went in and started this new company

[00:28:09] And bless them

[00:28:10] Like many people

[00:28:11] They started right when COVID

[00:28:14] Right hit

[00:28:14] Right

[00:28:15] And so

[00:28:17] I am very thankful that they were able to

[00:28:20] By

[00:28:21] Skill and grace

[00:28:22] And everything else that they are still alive

[00:28:25] So this is my first venture to

[00:28:27] Hickory bread

[00:28:28] And you know my quick assessment

[00:28:33] Similar layout

[00:28:35] To what Atlanta bread was

[00:28:37] Menu of similar to Atlanta bread

[00:28:39] Or your Panera or those sort of

[00:28:41] You know, salad sandwich soup

[00:28:44] Um

[00:28:44] I was really impressed you know nice clean

[00:28:48] Staffing of course they you know, they're hiring like everybody else under the sun right now

[00:28:52] But it wasn't a detriment to our service

[00:28:54] I mean, I felt like everything came out

[00:28:56] Yeah, obviously very well and then timely

[00:28:58] We didn't have to wait around long either so

[00:29:01] No, I think they probably have like three and three four employees like that

[00:29:04] I saw three so yes

[00:29:05] But I mean I didn't know the difference

[00:29:07] No

[00:29:07] I was

[00:29:08] There was a good there's a you know

[00:29:10] 20 people in their eating world

[00:29:11] Yeah

[00:29:12] So it was nice it had a very what did I tell you is like a homely atmosphere

[00:29:16] They're like a fireplace and you know, the clicker were going in and visiting friends and so I went with

[00:29:22] Gosh

[00:29:23] Pick two which is you know like you'd find at Panera or Atlanta bread

[00:29:27] We got the turkey bacon sandwich and I got the baked potato soup

[00:29:32] And I was pleased and I'll tell you what we all got some sort of soup as I'm sure you guys good

[00:29:38] um

[00:29:39] There was definitely no question of the soup being warm enough

[00:29:43] For us to enjoy so you know, it came out quick

[00:29:47] Is this thing hot fresh breaking news breaking news super hot

[00:29:50] Not always not always

[00:29:52] It's supposed to be supposed to be

[00:29:54] Um

[00:29:55] And then the the you know the turkey bacon panini sandwich I had

[00:30:00] You know, it was great. I mean, it was it was what you would expect and want from a

[00:30:05] Soup and sandwich place which is what I would categorize the sense

[00:30:08] So I really I really enjoyed it. What about you Mark? I enjoyed as well

[00:30:12] I had the turkey and bacon panini as well. I did the pick two as well

[00:30:16] I got the chili and it was hot and the half panini

[00:30:20] And it comes with a little roll to dip dip in your soup

[00:30:23] And then also came with the cookie. I can't forget yes. How'd you forget the cookie?

[00:30:28] So and I can't speak for you two

[00:30:30] It was enough for lunch for me

[00:30:32] So it was filling. I thought it was well worth it

[00:30:35] I thought the restaurant was clean oh yeah, yeah

[00:30:38] My favorite part is that our order was taken by Danny Nunean

[00:30:42] Now you two were not nearly as impressed by that as I was

[00:30:46] You kind of just you kind of just look at looking up on your phone

[00:30:50] But I wanted to confirm it was Danny Nunean and that waited well probably his like grand kid right way to don't us

[00:30:56] but it was very

[00:30:58] There was no idea that doesn't know who you're talking about

[00:31:01] Caddy Shack the

[00:31:03] He was the caddy and caddy Shack who ended up playing with Chevy Chase there at the end. You do drugs Danny

[00:31:10] Nunean

[00:31:11] So but I thought it was great

[00:31:13] I thought they did a good job like you said brought it out it was quick

[00:31:17] I had no issues whatsoever

[00:31:20] Your mind like Panera right, you know very it's a soup sandwich franchise

[00:31:24] Out without me going to go any extra place to be a certain thing when you go to those places

[00:31:28] This was right in line

[00:31:29] It's not like it was

[00:31:30] This could have been the exact same place and I like I told Moose when we were there

[00:31:35] I enjoyed I giving and this is nothing to the franchise these the people that work at least but I enjoyed giving the money to them

[00:31:42] for similar or maybe even better quality food

[00:31:46] As those large national

[00:31:48] Yeah, one of the establishments now if anybody out there knows the three of us

[00:31:53] It's not gonna come as a surprise. We cannot comment on the salads because none of us opted for a salad

[00:31:58] So

[00:32:01] Some will come around through there. I saw people carrying them to tables

[00:32:05] So and they did they looked very good on it but none of the three of us opted to go that direction

[00:32:10] No, and I went even I went hard

[00:32:16] I'm taking it I'm taking a step back you cannot but bequeath your title of my butt my but title is bequeathed

[00:32:22] So I went in hard at the hickory bread cafe

[00:32:27] Didn't eat breakfast and I've heard this is stressful so I'm

[00:32:33] I

[00:32:35] Got there with Mark and I got there first because my alley was late always

[00:32:39] We're looking through the menu. I was like all this stuff looks really good

[00:32:42] So I was like hey, can I go off man you they have like five boards of stuff

[00:32:49] And then there there's so much stuff they actually have a chalkboard for the soup. Yeah

[00:32:54] Enough room and mousse looks up there and says I'm just gonna make up my own thing is that all right Danny?

[00:33:00] Yeah, and Danny Newton said

[00:33:02] Yes, you can that is not a problem

[00:33:04] So if you do have some

[00:33:07] Different requests they will at least

[00:33:10] Field those requests absolutely but they've fulfilled my request. I was very happy with which was

[00:33:15] I went with a turkey Rubin. I just subbed the abastrami for the turkey

[00:33:20] And I also had a bowl of broccoli soup

[00:33:22] I did not go that pick to I had the entire whole sandwich and a bowl soup

[00:33:27] It was it was fantastic you can get cookie though. I didn't get a cookie. I was gipped on that deal

[00:33:32] But don't worry hey

[00:33:33] He paid more than you would if he went to go see a live show at the home. I did I paid

[00:33:38] Seventeen dollars, which is after fees the same price that you're gonna pay to go see

[00:33:42] Chava fire tribute to journey April 2nd here at the home in hickory. It's a girl. So now

[00:33:48] The no, I thought it was fantastic

[00:33:52] You know when you go to me look at this me honest. It was a former Atlanta bread company right

[00:33:58] That was a hickory bread company, right? I mean it was fantastic

[00:34:03] It was the same quality as any of those aforementioned franchises that we talked about

[00:34:08] However, it definitely had a local feel there was local artists with paintings on the wall

[00:34:13] You know you just felt like

[00:34:15] That it was a good use of the space

[00:34:18] You know what when a Atlanta bread company moved out

[00:34:20] I think that like you said that those two ladies had worked there knew the model and it's like

[00:34:26] Shoot I can do this. I can yeah, this is not a problem. Kudos to them

[00:34:30] Yeah, yeah if that was easy everybody would do it. Yeah, I feel that

[00:34:34] Again, you're renting that space. It's not cheap either

[00:34:37] So that's it's a large. It's a large. Yeah, it's an art large space right in the corner

[00:34:42] So I mean they went out on the limb. Yeah, this is my first time first time there. I will be going back there

[00:34:48] Yeah, yeah, in some other area. I will get out great there because that food is like really really good

[00:34:52] So I'm really pleased with it

[00:34:54] Mike what would you rate that

[00:34:57] Hickory bread company out of your

[00:34:59] If you're normal you know one to ten. Yeah scale

[00:35:02] I'd probably and this is going to sound I probably just

[00:35:06] Seven and a half out of ten and for the simple fact of

[00:35:09] Yeah, the food was great, but it was along the lines of his soup and sandwich spot

[00:35:13] I mean I got to have some flex but the menu was

[00:35:16] expansive. It was large

[00:35:19] But yeah similar to what you expect from other places

[00:35:22] I you know the pricing was I paid that 12 something for mine

[00:35:26] Rich in line with what your paying for lunch sadly

[00:35:28] That's in line with what you pay now so I can't put that on them the space look good

[00:35:33] It'd be a great place to you know meet with friends or even you know if there was some work that you had to do over lunch

[00:35:39] plenty of space and and you know

[00:35:41] You're not on top of everybody eating so I mean it was it was a solid place and like moose. I'll definitely be going back

[00:35:48] I want to say before I give my rating that I am holding still holding the title as a slowest eater

[00:35:53] Moose at all that food and I finished ten minutes after him and I got my food first

[00:35:57] Yeah, I feel like I was

[00:35:59] Racing me now in and

[00:36:02] Mark was not in the race. I did not even enter

[00:36:05] I did not even enter at all. Yeah, I don't know always I've always been fast on what it is but

[00:36:11] Well, my wife gets on me too so thanks no problem

[00:36:15] Sorry shouldn't didn't mean to get you in trouble. No, it's I live in trouble actually just skip over this part

[00:36:20] Don't worry done

[00:36:22] I'm gonna go

[00:36:26] It's good she gets enough of yet home right?

[00:36:31] I'm watching true. I'm listening to a murder podcast and not your that's what my wife listens to they can we can get together

[00:36:40] Let me tell you something we need to have our own murder podcast here on the mesh true crime of some sort sure

[00:36:46] Yeah, well, we'll talk about this

[00:36:52] Work rating. I'm gonna go on the moose seven. Yes one to seven scale. I'm gonna go five eight five eight five eight

[00:36:59] That's five five without looking at it that is like point eight like a 79 point something

[00:37:05] It was good close it was good. I mean it

[00:37:07] 82.8. Oh, I was close. 82 point. That's that's good. That was really good. I was enjoying it

[00:37:13] Absolutely, I will reiterate I will get me going back to the Hickory Breck FA. I think it was just really really good

[00:37:20] It's just solid food. It's one of those things where if I'm gonna spend $17 for lunch or dinner or whatever

[00:37:27] It's it's gotta be like good. It's gotta be really really good

[00:37:30] I thought that my meal was worth it and I don't have those type meals in Hickory a whole lot

[00:37:36] Especially on some of the restaurants review. I feel like I just don't get the value now

[00:37:42] I had to spend $70 get the value but I left full and it was it was great

[00:37:46] Um

[00:37:47] On the moves out of seven scale. Thank you more for picking that back up

[00:37:50] I it's a 6.2 out of seven for me so that is a roughly an 88 I believe

[00:37:55] Uh, something like that so 88.5 there you go

[00:37:59] So yeah, well, I think the three of us are in agreement that we highly recommend the uh

[00:38:03] The restaurant today absolutely awesome. It was fun till the next time we go eat somewhere. Yeah, for sure

[00:38:08] We gotta think about it too

[00:38:10] We all are all us will come

[00:38:12] We were

[00:38:14] We were 20 minutes away to go going to a restaurant on the gas station

[00:38:19] So um, I'm actually going to branch out and take one for the team and go check it out before I invite these two

[00:38:25] Two guys before we go

[00:38:27] Huh, what did you almost call us? Oh, let's call you smut
