[00:00:13] [SPEAKER_08] Termites, welcome! Welcome! Wow, actually sounded the same as my impression. Episode 291, Queen Stevie says hello. We have no Queen Stevie news. I don't know what she's doing, but it better be worth it. She's mad at you. Well, I think they're doing a documentary about Fleetwood Mac. Oh yeah, Lindsay's all excited because he might get, the door might open for him to get back in. These people are crazy. She's not going to do that. She might.
[00:00:44] [SPEAKER_08] I don't know about all that. She doesn't need to. He's the one that needs it. You should write her an email. So many things, so I was like, God, what a weekend. But first, what are we drinking? Well, because I was in Wisconsin, I have muleed back my own new Glarus. That's the spotted cow beer I talk about all the time. But this is their Oktoberfest Staghorn. It's from Jack in Wisconsin.
[00:01:05] [SPEAKER_08] And Delta was very sweet, and my suitcase may have weighed over 50 pounds in no way. Nobody redlined me. Nobody clotheslined me. They let me go. Do you have any beer to check? Yes. It's all beer.
[00:01:19] [SPEAKER_07] It's all beer.
[00:01:20] [SPEAKER_08] And a pillow. There's one pillow. And a pillow. Because I like my own pillow. And beer.
[00:01:26] [SPEAKER_09] That's funny. How many spotted cows did you drink?
[00:01:30] [SPEAKER_08] In 72 hours. Over a three-day period. Well, Minnesota, I drank their beers. So it was really a two-day period. Okay. Probably five.
[00:01:40] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah. In two days?
[00:01:42] [SPEAKER_08] Well, I like to mix it in between other beers. If you drink like five in a row, I'll be asleep. Okay. So, yeah. It's too much fun to be bad. Yeah. We're going to talk about that. It's so much fun. Deep-fried Oreos from a term vine in Wisconsin. Yeah. These were opened at the show. The children backstage wanted to try them.
[00:02:01] [SPEAKER_09] Nice.
[00:02:02] [SPEAKER_08] I didn't try it. So they have vanilla outsides, these Oreos, deep-fried, and then brown and white cream on the inside.
[00:02:12] God.
[00:02:13] [SPEAKER_08] These people... First of all, you have to think of the idea. Yeah. Then you have to create the artwork. Then create the packaging. I think they're supposed to taste like deep-fried Oreos at a fair.
[00:02:22] [SPEAKER_09] Excuse me. At a fair? Mm-hmm. Fair food. Does it? It's not a very good look. Oh. No? No.
[00:02:37] [SPEAKER_08] No. No. Okay. No. I do appreciate it. No. So we lost some of the termite notes in Wisconsin. So I had everything and I had all the cards, but I don't remember who did what. So I'm just going to say a giant thank you to Wisconsin Termites that brought stuff because I don't... I don't know. Um, it was a fuck up. Doesn't happen often. Nope. Um, like, my dad would eat these. He would have said good. All Oreos at the end of the day kind of taste like the Mothership Oreo. Really? A little bit. Yeah.
[00:03:06] [SPEAKER_08] I like an Oreo. Yeah.
[00:03:08] [SPEAKER_09] Every now and then. Except those waffle ones. But... Chicken and waffle ones you got. Oh.
[00:03:13] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah, those are... That is heavy breakfast. Yeah. We're going to try... I'm very excited about this. Beer Cheez-Its. Beer Cheese Cheez-Its. Great. Oh, look, they're with Coors Light. Coors Light beer cheese. Look at Coors Light jumping in. Look at Cheez-It. Buddying up with beers. I like it. We used to have a beer cheese soup at Cattle Company, the restaurant that worked out. It was the greatest thing ever. Really? Yeah, and you never see it anymore. No. On the menu. You do in Wisconsin.
[00:03:43] [SPEAKER_08] Oh, wow. Um, who gave me these? Oh, the Unidentified Termite. But thank you. Nice. These are great. Like, better than real Cheez-Its. Really? Five stars.
[00:03:55] [SPEAKER_05] Mm-hmm.
[00:03:56] [SPEAKER_09] Wait, better than real Cheez-Its? Yeah.
[00:03:59] [SPEAKER_08] And I don't like Coors Light. Hmm. Sorry. Adolph Coors. Most Midwestern people will say no to Coors Light. Really? Yeah. Patrick Mahomes loves it, but he's Texas. Well, Texas is closer to Colorado.
[00:04:15] [SPEAKER_07] Yeah.
[00:04:16] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. The Colorado beer. Yeah.
[00:04:18] [SPEAKER_10] Okay.
[00:04:18] [SPEAKER_08] Last thing. Um, King Baby Minnesota candy bar. Apparently this is a big deal in Minnesota. I've been going there forever. I never heard of it. It's King Bing. Um, 1923. It's a nutty, chocolatey cherry tree. Mmm. What's weird is it was, uh, Michigan, upstate Michigan's the cherry thing. I don't know about cherries in Minnesota, but maybe it's a thing. Wow. It's a bright pink.
[00:04:42] [SPEAKER_05] Mm-hmm.
[00:04:44] [SPEAKER_08] Oh my God. Nope. Well, well, wait, no, I just got some of the nuttiness.
[00:04:54] [SPEAKER_06] Oh. Nutty delicious.
[00:04:56] [SPEAKER_08] I could see how you could. With an Oktoberfest beer. Yeah. Um, there's a lot going on. Okay. Interesting. I'd have to, I'd have to let that sit for a while. Maybe I'll try another bite. Okay. Upcoming shows. Are we ready? Let's get out on the road, people. October 10th, the Ryman. October 16th, the 17th, Hampton Beach and Foxwoods. Yay. Yay. October 22nd, Myetta, Kansas.
[00:05:25] [SPEAKER_08] October 24th, Charlestown, West Virginia. That's Hollywood Casino. November 6th, Spartanburg. That venue is so much fun. It's like a giant, uh, I don't know how to describe it, but it's a fun, it's just a weird gig, but I like it. All right. November 7th, two shows in Charleston. November 13th and 14th, Durham. 20th, Marietta. 21st, Cincinnati. Ohio. Ohio. Ohio.
[00:05:54] [SPEAKER_08] The Taft Theater.
[00:05:56] [SPEAKER_05] Mm-hmm.
[00:05:57] [SPEAKER_08] All right. Before we move into everything, I just want to say these people in Minnesota said thanks for, they like the podcast, they're huge fans, enjoy the best Minnesota has to offer. The Minnesota Turbites, Emily, Matt, Vicki and Dick, but artwork by Mini Mate, Mini Me, Mini Might, Mini Might. Mini Might, like a termite. Mini Me. Oh, Mini Might. I get it. Oliver, he's 11. His artwork is so good. And he drew everything we talk about.
[00:06:24] [SPEAKER_08] Fantasy football, tourons, he drew baby cat, he drew another cat. He drew the black-footed ferret. Whoa. Wow. He nailed it. Art thieves, and he's even got the mask on them like they're thieves. Cool. I would not have known, I don't think, Mount Everest. Nice. Your mention, paddles, patron saints, and I'm the queen termite. What do I look like? You don't, well, I think you're climbing the top of Mount Everest right here. I think that's you.
[00:06:52] [SPEAKER_05] Wow. Yeah.
[00:06:53] [SPEAKER_08] Uh-huh. I look like a fallen. I'm the queen termite. And then there's Kansas City Chiefs. That's great. He knew everything. What are we eating? Black history. That's right. Yeah. Not staying dumb. Come on. That's adorable. Rock on, Oliver. I'm going to frame that and go, remember when I used to work that hard and I had all these things to talk about? Gives us hope for the future of America. Yes. Oliver. Okay. A little business. Now these will be on the, I said they'd be on the website this week, but I needed them
[00:07:22] [SPEAKER_08] to take them to Wisconsin and Minnesota, so they'll be on the website this week. It's a long sleeve. They're going to be on Thursday. Thursday. Noon. See, it says Madigan’s Pubcast and neon on the back and then day drinker long sleeve shirt on the front. Perfect. These will be available. These are some of my favorite of all the things we've come up with. And we have smalls. Thankfully. Yeah, for the small people. That's right. Yeah. Everybody's, you can wear a sleep shirt. Because everything's always too big. How many sleep shirts does a person need? 365.
[00:07:51] [SPEAKER_08] Well, when winter's here. More. And we have a day drinker hat. Nice. This will be on the website. And then there's a little very cool patch on the side that says Madigan's Popcast. We need patches. Yeah, patches. It's all very complicated. Yeah. And it's a good hat. It's a good hat. We spare no expense. I won't buy cheap shit. No. And I got my bumper sticker. I'll explain this. I closed Wolskies. So dumb. Very excited. I'm deciding where to put it in the world. And then take a picture. Oh!
[00:08:21] [SPEAKER_08] Because people put them everywhere in the world. I saw one in Dublin. Well, I didn't see it, but I saw a picture of it in Dublin. I'm going to put it somewhere. I don't know. Somewhere different. What if there's a Packer bar in Nashville? I don't know. I could look it up. I did. But, okay, so this week... Sad Packers. Oh my God. And I was amongst them. First thing out of the gate, I just want to shout out my friend Carrot Top.
[00:08:48] [SPEAKER_08] I'm not going to get into it, but I love him. I've known him since we were 25 years old. Yep. He opened the door to a comedy condo when I was like 25, and I was like, what the fuck is going on here? But he was so friendly. We had so much fun. Nice. We split a rental car for the week. We were working at a comedy club in Tampa, and he's going back to work. Nice. So all is well. And whether there was an incident or not, I have always said Carrot Top's one of the best shows in Las Vegas, especially for the price.
[00:09:16] [SPEAKER_08] Not that you need to be going cheap, but I go every time. Obviously, I don't have to pay. He's my favorite comedian. I sit in the showroom. I love him. I usually don't do that. I usually sit side stage. I don't have the patience sometimes to sit through the whole thing. That's a compliment. Well, I get antsy. It is a compliment. The only people I would sit there, there's maybe 10 comedians that I would sit in the audience and listen to and not get antsy. Mr. White. Yes, Mr. White. Bill Burr.
[00:09:46] [SPEAKER_08] I can think of Maria Bamford. Jackie Cation. There's enough out there. But his show, I told my sister, her and like four couples were going out there, and I said, go to Carrot Top at Luxor. It's so good. And he's just, everybody back in the day used to go, he's a prop comic. I said, who cares what you're doing as long as you're making people laugh? His talent is not my talent. I use words.
[00:10:16] [SPEAKER_08] He, you couldn't give me $1,000 and go, go to Walmart, write a joke in your head, and then make a thing to go with the joke. No, I can't. I can't. I don't have that talent. It's just a different thing. Yeah. So, sending all the good things out to Carrot Top.
[00:10:33] [SPEAKER_10] Good vibes to the CT.
[00:10:34] [SPEAKER_08] That's right. Aaron Weber has a funny joke about people sending good vibes instead of prayers. I don't know it. Oh my God, Wisconsin. So, I stayed in Milwaukee the first night, and that's when I went to Wolski's. I love a tavern. Like, dive bar and tavern mean different things to me. A corner tavern. A tavern is almost like, this one was like in a house. Oh. Like St. Louis, we'd call it a corner tavern. Uh-huh.
[00:11:03] [SPEAKER_08] I would not call that a dive bar. A tavern means lots of old guys at the bar, just a bar, nothing fancy. Yep. You're just there to talk to whomever and get your beer. Maybe they have pizza, whatever. Not a lot of food. It's kind of like, yeah, eat before you go or eat afterwards. Drink your own food. The tavern's called Wolski's. I'd heard about it forever. Got to go. Totally fun. Dogs in the bar, another sign of a tavern. I saw that. Yeah. I don't know if they were supposed to be there.
[00:11:32] [SPEAKER_08] Maybe I shouldn't have said that, but I love it. Yeah. Everybody bring a dog out there. Grace? No. Who's a dog? I forgot. I met two. But all the Packer fans. Green Bay played on Thursday Night Football.
[00:11:47] [SPEAKER_09] Against Atlanta.
[00:11:48] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. And they just got cremated. You flew up with the Atlanta people, didn't you? Yes. I had to go to Nashville to Atlanta, Atlanta to Milwaukee, and there were... Well, they're... The Falcons don't have a big traveling fan base.
[00:12:01] Uh-huh.
[00:12:02] [SPEAKER_08] Because it's the Falcons, really. But they do have B. John Robinson, who's phenomenal. I wish I had him at Fantasy. And I don't. He B. He single-handedly saves some people's weeks. Yes. He's so good. Mm-hmm. And the Falcons, they always seem like they could be good, but then it just never pans out. No. But the Packers, that's what Wisconsin has in the winter. And it would be so sad. I saw them all in the lobby Friday morning, and they're having a beer to erase what they saw. It was just horrible. Horrible.
[00:12:30] [SPEAKER_08] And I don't know if it's the coach. I don't know. I don't know. I don't get into it enough. I watch SportsCenter, but I don't watch all the football shows. I don't know what the problem is, but they were the saddest little people ever. It was so sad. Because it's so sad that if you already know this early in the season, your team, it doesn't have their shit together. Philadelphia. I mean, maybe you can get it together. Philly last night.
[00:12:55] [SPEAKER_09] The Eaglets. Well, and that's even worse that the Packers did poorly because, I mean, the Bears fans now are just freaking out.
[00:13:01] [SPEAKER_08] Oh, the Bears fans are like on Coke. Yeah. I feel like every single one of them has done an eight ball. Dax and Adam. I'm very happy. Yeah. Adam Rank. Mike, my friend Dax, my friend Tommy. Yep. Up and upstate New York. He's from Chicago. Tommy and Mary. There's so many of them that are just, they can't even form words. They're so excited. But good for them because those Bears fans have sat out in the freezing cold year after year after year and the Bears have not panned out. They're finally panning out. That's great.
[00:13:29] [SPEAKER_08] I feel sorry for Detroit because Ben Johnson was with Detroit and he left and now he's with Chicago and I think he might've been the brains behind the, behind the wizard behind the curtain. And he left. And in Milwaukee, I went to the public market. If you ever go to the public market. So good. I mean, everything, I wish I lived there. Cause like if you were having a part weekend tailgate or something, go down there and get all your cheese, all your little sausages. They clearly do not care about cholesterol count. Bloody Marys that have brought worse in them.
[00:13:57] [SPEAKER_08] The whole state is on cholesterol medication. I went to the broad house and got a brat. It just, everything about it appeals to me. Everything. And Minnesota too. All I could think about driving a thousand miles an hour was a walleye sandwich and I made it. Did you get one? Yep. Yep. At this thing called Charlie's on prior, which is a lake bar. Last time I was there, it was frozen and people were arriving on snowmobiles. I had never seen anything like that. A cool. Kelly McFarland who grew up in Maine said that some of her classmates came to school on a
[00:14:27] [SPEAKER_10] snowmobile.
[00:14:28] [SPEAKER_08] Cool. Yeah. It's very Canadian too. Yeah. You guys. Um, and the, the show, I mean the shows were great. They were sold out. The crews were great. It's very rare. You get a weekend. The crews are great. Soundcheck under one minute. Whoa. They do the sound and the lights perfectly. Anything you want. Everybody's young. Everybody's happy and it's early shows. So they'll get an early night to go out and do whatever the children want to do. That casino looks fun. That casino is crazy.
[00:14:55] [SPEAKER_08] And pit bull, not a pit bull. The rap. Is he rap? I don't even know what he does. Yeah. Whatever. He's a little bit of everything. Whatever he does. He was in the backyard at the big amphitheater thing. I had no idea it was that popular still. I didn't either. Well, I don't even know what he does to begin with. There's a pit bull in the backyard. I can't even. I know. And. Nope. So the, the, the, the, it was kind of chaotic cause there's, and then I was waiting
[00:15:24] [SPEAKER_08] out front and then I saw a cat. And so I went completely crazy and tried to go pet the cat. Oh boy. But meanwhile, the traffic, I know it was, that was on me. Um, yeah. Kelly was like, cat, what if you catch the cat? I don't know. I just want to pet it. Hi. I'm not taking it home. It clearly knows the casino. I mean, it's right out front. Look like baby cat, but the beer in my luggage is meowing.
[00:15:50] [SPEAKER_09] God bless Delta.
[00:15:55] [SPEAKER_08] And at the Minnesota show, well, Milwaukee, my two youngster friends, uh, Esmeralda and Kayla came. They're adorable. And the guy came backstage. He goes, there's people with backstage passes that say they can come back here. I go, are they the children? Are they young? I said, are they young? And he goes, young is relative Kathleen. I go, Oh, come on. 30 or under. Yep. And he said, I don't. I go, just ask him if they're the children. And so he went out and they said yes. And they came back. They were super.
[00:16:25] [SPEAKER_08] Are you the children? Are you the children? Oh, Minnesota too. I forgot. So I took a picture. It's all my answer. They have pull tabs. That is not a Missouri or Illinois, maybe Illinois. I'd never seen them in Illinois. You gotta explain what they are. It's a little card and you tear off tabs. It's the lottery. It's the lottery. And you try to get matching things in your rows and then you win money. Okay. I've rarely won money.
[00:16:50] [SPEAKER_08] I have friends that have though, but there's $2, pull tabs, $5, $20, blah, blah, blah. So it was fun to sit there at lunch and be able to. And then in Minnesota, Melissa Peterman, the actor who's currently on the Reba show. She's the blonde, tall lady. I don't know the character's name. I forget. In every Hallmark movie ever. She's in every Hallmark movie. And I played that game show, 25 words or less. Well, her mom and dad came.
[00:17:20] [SPEAKER_08] And I mean, they're 80 something. They were so funny. And they have friends with them and they're all like 80. The biggest reason they want to come backstage is they think I might have a bathroom. Well, I said, not only do I have a bathroom, I have two bathrooms. So many bathrooms. Yeah. You know, does anybody want any water? No, we'll have to go to the bathroom the whole way home. The 80 something crowd is hilarious, but they all made it out. So Melissa plays Gabby.
[00:17:49] [SPEAKER_08] She's a bartender on Happy's Place. Okay. Which is Reba part two. What else has she been able to say? It's all Hallmark movies. A lot of Hallmark movies. I know that. She's been a lot of things. I know. She's the one I'm lobbying to tell them to get me on as a bartender. I never want to be in a sitcom or a movie, but I would in a Hallmark movie. I think it'd be hilarious if they could get a sense of humor on these Hallmark movies. Let somebody be funny every now and then. Oh, she made her film debut with character role hooker number two in the Coen brothers
[00:18:16] [SPEAKER_10] movie Fargo.
[00:18:17] [SPEAKER_06] Why do we not know that? We gotta watch that again.
[00:18:19] [SPEAKER_08] Now I gotta go watch Fargo again.
[00:18:20] [SPEAKER_06] Hooker number two. Okay.
[00:18:22] [SPEAKER_08] Wow. That's a tall hooker.
[00:18:25] [SPEAKER_09] She played Barbara Jean on Rebo.
[00:18:27] [SPEAKER_08] Oh, Barbara Jean. Forever. Mm-hmm. Oh, okay. Well, her mom and dad are both giants. Really? Yeah. They're Viking giant people. They're skin. And he's like, oh yeah, we're Scandinavian. I'm like, oh, I can tell. I saw the picture of her mom. Looks just like her. Just like her.
[00:18:43] [SPEAKER_07] And we have the same birthday. What? Yeah. Oh my gosh. You gotta text her. Is that tomorrow? Yeah. It's your birthday.
[00:18:48] [SPEAKER_08] Tomorrow is my birthday. The 30th.
[00:18:50] [SPEAKER_09] Wednesday, the 30th. Yes. It's your birthday.
[00:18:52] [SPEAKER_08] My request from termites is I would like on Instagram or Twitter, send me pictures of your pets. Nice. I love looking at dog and cat pictures. Okay. And then you go go get me more YouTube followers. Oh, okay. Cause that's what helps me for all this. Right. That'd be a good present. Follow you on Instagram. Yeah. Follow you on YouTube. The famous people born on my birthday. Truman Capote. What? Truman Capote had the funniest line ever.
[00:19:21] [SPEAKER_08] In my opinion, it was a morning, like the today show. Yep. And it was somebody like Jane Polly way back, way back. And he clearly had been out all night. Right. Like he had never slept and he's pretty hammered, but he's still Truman Capote and he's funny. And he showed up to do his little TV spot. I can't even imagine. And it might've been Barbara Walters. Somebody said Truman. He's clearly half shit based, right? Truman.
[00:19:48] [SPEAKER_08] I mean, there's been a rumor that you have a problem with alcohol. And he goes, alcohol. Why? That's the least of my problems. I'm like, oh my God. Excellent. Uh, Truman Capote and Johnny Mathis. I don't have a good shared birthday list, but it's good. Good enough. Truman counts for at least 10 people.
[00:20:09] [SPEAKER_09] I have Flava Flav. Yeah, I know. So great.
[00:20:12] [SPEAKER_08] You and your clocks. God. You and Flav. So great. There's a lot of February people. I mean, March people. He's the king. He's the Pisces king. He's the Pisces king. Oh, so great. He's the Pisces king. Oh my gosh. Uh, I got this email and made me laugh. So we're going to do this at the end of the show.
[00:20:30] [SPEAKER_10] Okay.
[00:20:30] [SPEAKER_08] Hey, Kathleen and team. I'm part of a group of 62 year old women that love to have a good time. We were discussion discussing the caption topic and would love it if you covered phrases. We could say if one of us got stuck in a Mexican jail. Cordially Kathy. Yes, Kathy. We're going to flip and do that. I have the first question you should ask if you can do a Mexican jail somehow. That's fun. And we're going to do that. Queen news. What? Before we go on. Dolly day.
[00:21:01] [SPEAKER_08] Well, we're going to save the VMAs and all that, uh, for Bobby Holly, Bobby, because he watched the whole thing. I only watch parts, but queen, uh, here's something great. Um, Ireland's national airline is giving Dolly Parton a permanent place on the route between Dublin and Nashville.
[00:21:18] [SPEAKER_04] So great. Yeah.
[00:21:19] [SPEAKER_08] Nice. Uh, starting October 25th, air linguses Dublin and Nashville service will fly as nine to five.
[00:21:27] [SPEAKER_10] Oh God. Yeah. I want to cry. Awesome.
[00:21:30] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. I haven't stopped crying randomly. Well, and as everyone is aware, there seems to be some infighting. Um, but the family says it's not them. The Brian nephew got fired by Danny Nozel. Now I happen to know a couple people that know Danny and they said he's, he's not crazy or anything like that. Um, I think Danny knows those are manager. Yeah. Right. And he fired Brian, the nephew of 30 years.
[00:21:59] [SPEAKER_08] And then that man got very angry, flipped out and flipped with DMZ wrote crazy things that he's an arms dealer and a killer. I don't know. Yeah. No need to go into all that, but the family says they're all getting along. And I do not think there's a way that Dolly would have left this earth because she had warning. Yeah. Without putting in writing exactly what she wanted. Right.
[00:22:24] [SPEAKER_08] So, you know, if she wanted Danny Nozel and this, her company that she made with him, well, I don't know if it's with him, but it's called she's alive LLC. Uh huh. So I'm sure she made provisions.
[00:22:38] [SPEAKER_10] Right.
[00:22:38] [SPEAKER_08] Um, so let's hope that all works out and let's hope he settles down a little bit. Um, we're going to talk about Madonna.
[00:22:46] Whew.
[00:22:47] [SPEAKER_08] I know she's not a queen, but, uh, what I'm going to say, well, and I'm going to say it to Holly Bobby. What Madonna tried to pull off. I don't think was a success. The only person I think that can still pull it off is share. Mm hmm. And why is, I don't know. Cher's a lot taller. Uh, do us shorties look ridiculous. It's a certain age. Um, Cher fell again. Yeah. She fell down, but she's here. Her surgery.
[00:23:17] [SPEAKER_08] And we're going to talk about that at the VMAs. Dolly. Dolly's Stevie Flava Flav was a host of the VMAs. It's not Flava Flav. I mean, Snoop Dogg. That man's name is Snoop. Snoop Dogg. And I loved his jacket. He had a Moon Man jacket. So great. It was adorable. He's adorable. But he also seemed like he kind of didn't care. Yeah. And we're going to talk about the VMAs because there's early reports that the ratings drop, but then later reports, is it time to just get rid of award shows? Just in general.
[00:23:47] [SPEAKER_08] Keep the Grammys, keep the Oscars. Well. Well, CMAs because the country people need their own thing. Right. And the Golden Globes. Meh. Who are the TV people? That's the Emmys. Yeah, them. Bob would smack you in the face for that question. Right.
[00:24:04] [SPEAKER_06] Well.
[00:24:05] [SPEAKER_08] He knows I love him for him.
[00:24:08] [SPEAKER_06] Stevie. They need their own.
[00:24:09] [SPEAKER_08] Stevie and Martha, no news. Update. The Wizard of Oz at the Sphere has made more than $500 million in just 13 months. Four million plus tickets for a movie made in 1939. To celebrate, I would have shit my pants in a great way if I'd have seen this. They let the flying monkeys, the real ones, the human ones. Yep. They're dressed like the flying monkeys though. They got to go play craps.
[00:24:40] [SPEAKER_10] No.
[00:24:40] [SPEAKER_08] At the Fountain Blue Casino. So there's a whole craps table full of purple flying monkeys.
[00:24:45] [SPEAKER_09] I'd freak out.
[00:24:46] [SPEAKER_08] Then on the escalator, they were all over the casino. It was just wonderful. We gotta go again. Well, here's why everyone should want to go again. Okay. Even if you've already been once. Mm-hmm. It's getting major new 4D effects next week. So me and Ron are gonna be in Las Vegas in December, and we're gonna golf, and I wanna buy four tickets so he can go see this. I don't think he's seen it yet. He hasn't seen it?
[00:25:15] [SPEAKER_09] I don't think so. Oh, it's travesty.
[00:25:16] [SPEAKER_08] Um, just when you think the odds couldn't get any more magical, the Vegas experience is adding expanded 4D effects, including animatronic winged monkeys flying overhead, scented apples, glinda glitter, when she throws out glitter, glitter flies everywhere, new environmental sets, and even indoor fireworks in Emerald City. Wow.
[00:25:37] Wow.
[00:25:38] [SPEAKER_08] It's a reason to go, people. I don't even, I don't know, the movie still freaks me out, but seeing it there with the effects was really something. Um, update! Oh, we have a Harkle update. Oh, God. Megan and Harry. You know, they just are relentless. Right.
[00:26:02] [SPEAKER_08] With, they won't stop, they won't shut up, they won't stop being in public, they say all they want is privacy. Then they post pictures of, here, we're having drinks in a backyard, it was so fake. This week he jumped out of a helicopter, but he had to do it in tandem. What? Oh, my God! Yeah, what happened to all your military stuff? Exactly. I thought, well, you can't do that on your own? Aren't you a paratrooper? His military service has always been fraught with rumors he faked, he fake served, but this stunt proves it. He's a fraud.
[00:26:31] [SPEAKER_08] I don't, I, I don't think he's the smartest cat in the herd. Uh, but this was to, it's always to quote, raise awareness, but it's just another photo op for them. I don't understand who keeps participating. The answer is no. No, we're not doing this. I don't even know what it was about. So clearly raising awareness didn't do anything. So he's jumping out of helicopters. Then he gave a speech at the Clinton Global Initiative.
[00:27:02] [SPEAKER_08] He's six, about six minutes in and the teleprompter went out. This is a subject he's claimed that he studied for six years. He's an expert on, uh, this is, this one was about, I think children, dangers to children online for AI dangers. Like why are we listening to this man? Right. Well, six years, he claims he's been studying this. The teleprompter went out and he just looked at it and then he got pissed and he said, well, that's it.
[00:27:32] [SPEAKER_08] And left the stage. Like you can't keep going without a teleprompter. Right. If you've studied this for six years, you should know what you want to say. Yeah. And if you give this speech off often, you should kind of know the bullet points in your head. No. And then he came back out at the end to try and finish it. I mean, they're still in England. I don't know. The Royal family seems to be doing the right thing. Um, and believe me, I'm not rooting for any of these people.
[00:27:59] [SPEAKER_08] I'm just looking at it like a Disney characters fighting. Okay. But do not respond to him. Do not speak to him. Do not, um, engage at all. Let them keep. It's so hard to hold the hounds though. You want to release the hounds. Yeah. And just say something, you know, he's running around saying I'm, I'm the Duke of Sussex and she's the princess of jelly and jam or whatever the fuck they're saying. Princess of jelly.
[00:28:28] [SPEAKER_07] That's more appropriate.
[00:28:30] [SPEAKER_08] No, I'd strip them of their titles. No, you're out. You cannot use this anymore. Right. Cause they just keep popping up at, well, she's not. Yeah. I don't know. Then they said they're over there to make a biography. Oh, because the uncle Diana's brothers on every show. That's why we have cameras everywhere. Every morning show trying to talk about his book. What are you people doing? I mean, I know he's rowing around the pond by her grave and filming it. What in God's name?
[00:28:59] [SPEAKER_09] Everyone's lost their, uh, their mind.
[00:29:01] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. Everyone update. Oh paddles. Not gonna like any of this. Elizabeth Holmes. Oh no. It's set to, it's, uh, she's set to be released to a halfway house, which is complete bullshit. Yeah, it is a halfway house. Usually you've got six months left in your, um, sentence or a year at the most, I would say.
[00:29:26] [SPEAKER_10] Okay.
[00:29:27] [SPEAKER_08] Next summer in August, she gets to go to a half, which means she will probably be out by at the latest May of 2027. An 11 year sentence. Oh my God. And she went in in 2023, I think. Um, or 2024. And she's praising Donald Trump on Twitter. Um, she's, she's doing all this from prison, Twitter, Instagram. Yeah. Then she said her husband's doing it, but she's doing it. She was convicted.
[00:29:57] [SPEAKER_08] Um, she's a fraudster. Right. She's a fraudster. So nothing bad about that. No, just because, you know, she, she did people out of $450 million and a lot of people killed themselves. Yeah. And then she, her little machine told people they had AIDS when they didn't and all kinds of, all kinds of.
[00:30:13] [SPEAKER_10] One lady lost her baby. Okay. Nope. She didn't. Whoa, still pregnant.
[00:30:16] [SPEAKER_08] I mean, yeah, because your thing was, her scheduled release date was 2030. Wow. Mm-hmm. Okay. Merca. But that, no, that wasn't the original one that got years chopped off for quote, good behavior. Right. She's going to be released to a 460 bed facility that houses both men and women is owned by core civic. One of the largest private prison corporations in the United States.
[00:30:40] [SPEAKER_05] Mm-hmm.
[00:30:41] [SPEAKER_08] Um, it serves. Unbelievable. I got to read you her quote though. Mm-hmm.
[00:30:48] [SPEAKER_09] How are we getting quotes from her? Cause she's putting them on Twitter and stuff. She has access to a phone?
[00:30:55] [SPEAKER_08] A computer, I think.
[00:30:56] Oh God.
[00:30:57] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah.
[00:30:58] [SPEAKER_08] You know. You got to read her statement. This is what she posted. Mm. I, I don't even understand. I've been, I rewatched the dropout with Amanda Seyfried. That was great. Because I want to see the documentary about Elizabeth Holmes in October. Everybody needs to watch that. It's so good. And Amanda's so good. Everyone in it is great. Uh huh. If you even saw that about yourself, you'd be like, yeah, yeah, I really messed up.
[00:31:27] [SPEAKER_08] Like, this is what she put on. She's a sociopath. I think this is, this is on Twitter. I refuse to call it what he wants me to call.
[00:31:35] Mm-hmm.
[00:31:35] [SPEAKER_08] As just being obstinate on my part. Being Irish. I was silenced for a long time and then imprisoned. I am fighting to prove my innocence. You are not innocent. No. What she should say is, I made a horrible mistake. I really thought fake it till you make it could work. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm a sociopath. I am. And I'm going to get it. There's people on Instagram. I follow four of them that are sociopaths. Yeah. And they talk about it. Yep. Just say you are. Here's why I hate everything.
[00:32:04] [SPEAKER_08] Um, she wants to come home to her babies and the love of her life. I have now been imprisoned for 1,216 endless days and nights during that time. As we fight for freedom, my loved ones have helped manage my account. Billy, that's her husband. It's one of the people carrying the responsibility for me. He fights fiercely for me and our family. I love him beyond space and time. Starting now, all posts in my own words will be marked EAH, Elizabeth something Holmes.
[00:32:30] [SPEAKER_08] Posts with signatures are that without that are from the team managing this account. Thank God. The truth will set you free. We have the truth and you shall not be free. Elizabeth Ann Holmes. Even her mother knows she's crazy. Mm hmm. Oh, what's the matter with the guy? I don't know. That's why I want to watch a documentary. Uh huh. And in the trailer, the movie maker guy.
[00:32:57] [SPEAKER_08] No, he's just be he's apparently pretty good at all this and funny in real life. And he knows how to trick them. So when she stays silent, he stays silent.
[00:33:07] [SPEAKER_09] Oh, that's awesome.
[00:33:08] [SPEAKER_08] It's a stare down of no blinking. I hope neither one of them wear contacts because if I didn't blink that long with contacts in, but there's Holly Bobby. No one this is coming out. I looked it up October 19th.
[00:33:19] Oh, it's a countdown.
[00:33:20] [SPEAKER_08] I know. So great. Um, so I forgot what to say. Um, your mother knows you're guilty. You lied. You lied your ass off about money and this and that. And people got her.
[00:33:38] [SPEAKER_09] Those depositions were crazy. I mean, there are court records.
[00:33:41] [SPEAKER_08] I don't, I don't recall.
[00:33:43] Yeah.
[00:33:43] [SPEAKER_08] As my dad would say, that's what you should say.
[00:33:45] [SPEAKER_09] And I need a team of attorneys. Uh huh.
[00:33:49] [SPEAKER_08] She really thought she was going to save the world. She, she, she cloaks this all in. But what I was gunning for was to save the world. And through blood testing with just one prick on your finger instead of. Update. This is an old people update.
[00:34:10] Okay.
[00:34:11] [SPEAKER_08] Rod Stewart. An old people update. Has announced. 2027 will be his last touring year, but he's not retiring.
[00:34:21] [SPEAKER_07] Let's get that straight. What's he going to do?
[00:34:25] [SPEAKER_08] Some one off shows. I don't know the, it's the, it's the old people thing. They don't want to just say. I'm retiring. Right. Cause they freak out and think nobody will pay attention to them anymore. And so then they go not from, not from everything out. Right. I'm still here. Um, you know, go see him once in your life. I've seen him a million times. I, I, I, it's worth seeing. Okay.
[00:34:50] [SPEAKER_08] If you can get out on the road and it's an, uh, especially if it would be outdoor amphitheater or something, be so fun. Um, it's fun. And maybe my friend Dax will be, um, opening and Elton John, by the way, opened the Apple music hall in London. I guess it live stream last night speaking to old people, but see like Elton says no more road. Yeah. But I'll go do weird shit. I think that's what Rod's gunning for. Elton says, David says no more road. Oh yeah.
[00:35:19] [SPEAKER_08] Well you signed up for David.
[00:35:22] Yeah.
[00:35:22] [SPEAKER_08] He's cute. If David says nay, nay, I think he said, you know, come on grandpa. What are we doing? We have children. That's right. God damn it. They have soccer practice. You are never in attendance. You see Elton John sitting there in somebody's soccer practice. In a sequined leisure suit. Hello. Crazy pink glasses. Hello. Go team blue. No, I believe, I believe, I believe I have the boys. I believe they're twins.
[00:35:49] [SPEAKER_06] Funny.
[00:35:50] [SPEAKER_08] I'll have to get with someone on that. Find out which children of mine.
[00:35:54] Yeah.
[00:35:55] [SPEAKER_08] Even better. Well, outdoor in a lawn chair with like a little igloo cooler next to it.
[00:36:01] [SPEAKER_06] Not a yeti, an igloo. Hey, how was practice?
[00:36:04] [SPEAKER_08] Awesome. Elton John was there. Couldn't stop staring at him.
[00:36:08] [SPEAKER_10] He had a full bar. Oh, man.
[00:36:13] [SPEAKER_08] I remember one time my brother, when he was like seven, had soccer practice. And there was this kid, Kevin, and he was chubby. I really liked him. I will not say his last name. I would probably still like him if I saw him today. But in the middle of an actual game, and I was sitting next to Kevin's mom.
[00:36:30] [SPEAKER_04] Uh-huh.
[00:36:31] [SPEAKER_08] He comes over, he goes, can I have some popcorn? She's like, Kevin, you're playing a game. And he goes, she said no. And he, I heard him walk away and go, bitch. Whoa! I know! And he's only seven, but he looked like he was 13. He's a big kid. Yeah. But it made me laugh so hard. The game is going on, and all Kevin can think about is snacks. Because he saw somebody eating popcorn. And he thought, God damn it, I need some popcorn. That's fun.
[00:37:00] [SPEAKER_08] That's fun. Elton John, get home. We have a parent-teacher conference meeting. They want to meet you. Who doesn't? Who doesn't? You're just going to take a few photos. I think him and his husband have, I don't know if they're twin boys. I know it's two boys. They're cute. Yeah. I don't know if they're, I think they're twins. Yeah. But I think David said, I don't want you dying in some hotel room. You know, you need to be around, Grandpa. Because I think David's like quite a bit younger.
[00:37:31] [SPEAKER_08] And he's probably scared that Elton's going to just die somewhere. But boy, Elton's voice, if there's ever a chance, it's still top notch. It's as good as Stevie's. There was another old person thing.
[00:37:46] [SPEAKER_09] I forgot. Zachary and Elijah. Zachary and Elijah. Oh, how biblical, darling. It's a kid's names. Oh.
[00:37:54] [SPEAKER_08] That's so Elijah. They're twins. They almost sound Amish. No. No. They're real cute. All right. Let's call Amy. Okay. We got to wait for Holly Bobby. He's in a Zoom. In a closet. In a closet.
[00:38:10] [SPEAKER_10] Or a car. God. Let me see.
[00:38:15] [SPEAKER_04] What's your password?
[00:38:17] [SPEAKER_06] Oh, I got it.
[00:38:18] [SPEAKER_04] Nevermind.
[00:38:19] [SPEAKER_06] Baby cat love. No. Amy.
[00:38:26] [SPEAKER_08] Let's see here. There she is. Doot, doot, doot. Soccer practice. Mom, who's that guy with the crazy glasses? Honey, that's Elton Charles. That's your father. Good morning, Amy.
[00:38:41] [SPEAKER_00] How are you? Fine. Good.
[00:38:45] [SPEAKER_08] What's going on there?
[00:38:47] [SPEAKER_00] Oh, let's see. A lot. I have a bit of Sudafed brain. I've been, had the flu or something for the last three days. So I feel like I have Elmo brain. Okay.
[00:38:59] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. But you did have enough energy to take a video of a man you thought was stealing an entire dog.
[00:39:06] [SPEAKER_00] I did. So, you know, when you're sick, you know, and you're, you're kind of out of it anyway, I'm looking out the window and I'm like, I think that guy is stealing that dog.
[00:39:18] [SPEAKER_08] Something that's not quite, it's not very easy to do. No.
[00:39:22] [SPEAKER_00] No. I, I, and you know, plus I was, you know, half, half out of it was Sudafed and whatever Tylenol and Alka-Selfa or whatever I could get my hands on to try and get me through the last three days. But yeah, so I was a little, um, whatever. And I saw this guy literally on a pontoon boat with a giant 50 by 50 foot dock just floating down the cove.
[00:39:46] Wow.
[00:39:47] [SPEAKER_08] Being pushed by a man, a man who looked to be smoking a cigarette in a pontoon boat pushing the dock. Wow.
[00:39:54] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah. And I, so I took my camera, I videoed it for you, but I felt like he looked like he had a little, like a ski mask on. I couldn't see it.
[00:40:01] [SPEAKER_09] Oh, we got to put that on your Instagram.
[00:40:02] [SPEAKER_08] Well, you know, the family thread went bonkers and the theories are it's either the repo man. My theory could be a mad ex-husband dock repo. I mean, Ron White stole his gazebo back with helicopters once. People have done crazier things. True. Um, or what we thought repo man or just a thief.
[00:40:22] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah. I'm taking it. I mean, it's, you know, it's not like they're not going to notice when they get home, you know?
[00:40:28] [SPEAKER_08] No, I know. But here's the thing I was thinking, especially about my doc. This is what I was thinking. Well, your doc as well. It's not like they have a license plate number on them.
[00:40:38] [SPEAKER_00] Mm hmm. Mm hmm.
[00:40:39] [SPEAKER_08] So how would I know if that's my doc?
[00:40:42] [SPEAKER_00] No, you wouldn't. I guess you wouldn't. You know, I think supposedly, I think you're supposed to have some sort of number on them, but I don't think Ameren is that organized.
[00:40:51] [SPEAKER_08] I've never seen a number on any doc. I'd have to prove it by my chiefs and blues flags.
[00:40:57] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah, exactly. I mean, I don't know. I guess that's a very good question. I don't know how you'd say he, that's my sir. That's my doc. Could you return it? He could just say, yeah, whatever.
[00:41:06] [SPEAKER_08] Right.
[00:41:06] [SPEAKER_00] I don't know.
[00:41:07] [SPEAKER_08] I found it. I don't know. It was floating down the lake. New doc. Who dis?
[00:41:11] [SPEAKER_00] It's all interesting. And I'm not, you know, like supporting any thief or whatever. But you know, it is kind of funny that there's a lot of money in these docks and there's a lot of boats and there's a lot of crap on people's docks. I am always surprised that there isn't a lot of theft. I know. Not that I'm promoting that listeners, but I'm just saying like. No, I am too. Honest here at Lake of the Ozarks.
[00:41:31] [SPEAKER_08] Well, yes, people have expensive kayaks down there. They have expensive boat accessory things. Maybe they're all locked down a little bit more than I think. I've never thought about stealing one, so I don't know.
[00:41:41] [SPEAKER_00] But that's my point. I think it's a lot more. I mean, given, you know, where we are near, near, near, near, near. It's pretty honest, you know, honest aid here, you know?
[00:41:51] [SPEAKER_08] Well, now that we all have cameras, though, I think people are a little more.
[00:41:55] [SPEAKER_00] Maybe. Well, the guy wasn't upset that I was filming him. I mean, I think he was waving at me. You know? I don't think he was worried. What are you going to do about it, lady?
[00:42:07] [SPEAKER_08] Well, here's one last thought on this. The only thing I don't understand the repo, man, because like my dock, I had to pay in full. I paid them half up front and payment in full before it was delivered. So they're all paid for, they should. Well, the company I used, I don't know. I mean, maybe other companies don't require, why would you be? It's not like you have a dock payment like a car.
[00:42:33] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah, I don't know. Anyway. Maybe it wasn't even the right guy. Maybe he just thought, well, you owe me money for this. I'm going to take your dock.
[00:42:40] [SPEAKER_08] Oh! Yeah.
[00:42:42] [SPEAKER_00] I'm going big. I'll go bigger.
[00:42:44] [SPEAKER_08] And he took the ramp. I mean, he took the whole thing.
[00:42:47] [SPEAKER_00] He even took the cables. Oh my gosh. The cables were dangling. Look at the video. The cables were dangling. He had them in on buoys. Like, the cables on buoys. They're just kind of floating around. I think I caught a crime.
[00:43:03] [SPEAKER_08] Wouldn't it be funny if he only went like three houses down?
[00:43:10] [SPEAKER_09] Just change the flag on it. This isn't your dock.
[00:43:12] [SPEAKER_00] I told your brother I want to go out. If I'm feeling better today, I want to go out there on the studios and go, go check out and do it all. Scout it out.
[00:43:19] [SPEAKER_08] Do you know which lot he took it from? Or did you just catch him mid-crime?
[00:43:25] [SPEAKER_00] I caught him mid-crime in the caper. I caught him mid-caper. I think it's about 10. It's across the way. So, across the cove. And to the right. So, more towards the highway. But I'm pretty sure I can figure out where. I mean, A, it's going to be a big hole in front of someone. Right.
[00:43:42] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. Right.
[00:43:42] [SPEAKER_00] I mean, they're going to see when they walk in the door that their dock is missing.
[00:43:49] [SPEAKER_09] Wow.
[00:43:50] [SPEAKER_00] Poopsie, poopsie, George. You forgot to pay the final bill, George.
[00:43:56] [SPEAKER_08] You owe somebody a fee. All right. What are we talking about, Amy?
[00:44:01] [SPEAKER_00] All right. Very exciting today, girls. So, we've talked about the wardrobe capsules. We've done the fall shoe edit that goes with the wardrobe capsules. And today, I want to do a fall closet reset. I.e., I want you to talk about reorganizing your closet for fall. Oh, nice. And why do we want to do that? Yeah. Because you need to, whether you're talking about a walk-in wardrobe or a reach-in closet, it's an opportunity this time of year to declutter.
[00:44:31] [SPEAKER_04] Yes.
[00:44:31] [SPEAKER_00] Reassess and create some space for the pieces that you're going to put in your wardrobe capsule. And also a good time to remind you that, you know, shop your closet first before you start shopping for fall.
[00:44:44] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah.
[00:44:45] [SPEAKER_00] But in order to do that, you need to see what you've got.
[00:44:47] [SPEAKER_08] Yes. That's my problem. There are literally jeans and all kinds of, I wanted to ask this, speaking of that, like things are just falling off shelves. If you can, if you're going to build a house or buy a house in a closet, do you think drawers are better than shelves?
[00:45:05] [SPEAKER_00] Well, that's interesting because I was going to talk about this. You know, for me, I personally, for me, like I like in my drawers, I like to keep things like my PJs, my undergarments, sweatpants, workout clothes, things I don't have to think about or like look. Like I know if I open up this drawer, I'm going to have seven pairs of sweatpants that are going to go with my seven pair of Lululemon shirts or whatever.
[00:45:34] [SPEAKER_00] So for me, drawers are things that I don't need to see. Whereas shelves, I like to have my sweaters on those so I can see the colors.
[00:45:44] [SPEAKER_08] Okay. I get it. I get it. I get it. Okay. So throw stuff in the drawers that you don't really need to look at. I got it. Okay.
[00:45:52] [SPEAKER_00] Exactly. Exactly. Exactly.
[00:45:54] [SPEAKER_08] And you're going to go over to grandma's closet and film us? Show.
[00:45:58] [SPEAKER_00] I want, I want, I'm going to do an example. So I'm, I don't have a normal closet. I have a superior closet. Nice. Nice. That's fantastic. Perfecting for over 40 years now. I think it's fabulous.
[00:46:14] [SPEAKER_07] It's a fabulous closet.
[00:46:16] Yeah.
[00:46:17] [SPEAKER_00] But I want to start with normal, but so I figured grandma's probably the most normal.
[00:46:21] [SPEAKER_08] Does she know you're going to do that?
[00:46:22] [SPEAKER_00] Kind of funny. No, she has no idea. Oh, great. Your brother told me that I could only call her and tell her that I was dropping by. Um, well, first of all, I was blocked. Did you hear this? She actually blocked me. She blocked you?
[00:46:34] Yeah.
[00:46:35] [SPEAKER_00] She blocked me. What'd you do? I don't know. I don't know. I bet it was secretly grandpa somewhere going, you know, don't let her drop off any food
[00:46:44] [SPEAKER_06] or anything. She needs a timeout.
[00:46:47] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah.
[00:46:47] [SPEAKER_05] I'm in timeout.
[00:46:48] [SPEAKER_08] Grandpa's blocking you from the world beyond.
[00:46:52] [SPEAKER_06] You need an attorney.
[00:46:54] [SPEAKER_08] I got to shut that one down.
[00:46:56] [SPEAKER_05] She needs to say, yeah.
[00:46:57] [SPEAKER_08] No, you, if you, if you say you're going to drop by to my mom, she's more comfortable with that. Cause if you say I'm coming over, she doesn't know exactly when you're leaving and she'd like that to be very soon if possible.
[00:47:09] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah. Yeah. You have to use specific verbs with your mom. You can't say I'm, I'm coming over. No, there's no, there's no time. There's no end to that. Dropping by. That means I'm just going to quickly drop by. Yeah.
[00:47:22] [SPEAKER_06] She's okay with that. Leave the car running.
[00:47:24] I'm going to head over there.
[00:47:26] [SPEAKER_00] I mean, assuming that she's now, she said she's unlocked me, but I'm, you know, assuming she knows I'm coming over, but yeah, I'm going to film kind of what I'm talking about. But I, to get into the, it's basically, I've broken it into seven easy steps. Um, what you're going to need to do, you do need to get maybe some, um, clear storage bins and some uniform hangers. They don't have to be perfect and you don't need them all at once, you know, but you want to start collecting hangers that you like.
[00:47:53] [SPEAKER_00] I particularly like the little velvet hangers and the wooden hangers, um, and then clip hangers for my script.
[00:47:59] [SPEAKER_08] The wooden ones take up a lot of space. So if you're in an apartment, you don't want those.
[00:48:03] [SPEAKER_00] They do. That's why I like those slim velvet ones because they also prevent slipping. Um, and they're not very expensive. I, what I, I don't like those plastic ones or the wire ones. They kind of tend to break and they're cheaper. Um, but anyway, so what you want to do is you want to start number one is start by taking all of your summer stuff out of your closet. Um, I don't think it's necessary to take everything out. You can, if you want to do a deep, you know, a deep clean, but just take your summer stuff
[00:48:31] [SPEAKER_00] out of the prime spots because you're going to be moving in your fall wardrobe. So anything, any shorts, sundresses, linen pants, beach type, you know, definitely summer. You want to put those in a storage bin and then label those, you know, label the box summer and then tuck it away for fall. Put it in the basement, put it in the attic, put it in another closet, just somewhere out of your primary closet. Um, cause you only want to keep your seasonal current seasonal items near in your primary closet.
[00:48:58] [SPEAKER_00] And then secondly, you want to go, um, go through and just donate or recycle the obvious. So anything that you haven't worn in a couple of years, anything that's overused, you know, the belt that's completely falling apart, um, purge, empty shoe boxes, anything, any packaging clutter that you might have, that's a good time to clean it up. Um, and then with all the number three, with the remaining, full clothes, you want to put those in piles.
[00:49:24] [SPEAKER_00] So you've got four piles, you've got the key pile, which is the things you know, you love and you want to wear. Um, you have your throwaway pile, which are the pieces you don't like. They don't look good on you. Who are you kidding? Get rid of them, you know?
[00:49:41] [SPEAKER_08] And, and do you believe you should keep like fat clothes and skinny clothes?
[00:49:45] [SPEAKER_00] Mm. It depends. Like, do you need 10 pairs of pants that are your skinny clothes? Probably not. Maybe keep two, but that's the other pile I have. So I've got a, I've got a, I'm not sure pile, which means I'm going to try them on. And then I have a not now pile. Okay. And that might be where you want to put the pants that are like a size too small because you're like, I am going to get into these someday. That's fine. Maybe you don't need to keep all 20.
[00:50:11] [SPEAKER_00] Um, but those are the pieces like the jacket that you, that might be a little bit out of style, but you're convinced it might be back in someday. Um, so you've got the four piles, so you put them in the four piles. Um, and then you want to make sure that you go through the, the not sure pile. And now is your time to decide either I'm getting rid of it or it's going to go in the key pile. Right? So you're now down to three piles.
[00:50:36] [SPEAKER_05] Okay.
[00:50:36] [SPEAKER_00] You've got your keep, you've got your not now pile and your throwaway pile. Okay. So then take your keep pile. This is number five and you want to categorize those. So you want to start grouping, you know, your long sleeve tops together, your lightweight knits together, your flannels together, your jackets together, your breasts together. So you're going to want to start hanging those up in categories. So they're really easy to access and they're really easy to see.
[00:51:05] [SPEAKER_00] So, you know that if it's really cold and you're going to stay at home, you're probably going to want to flannel, you know, exactly where to go to.
[00:51:12] [SPEAKER_05] Okay. All right.
[00:51:14] [SPEAKER_00] Is that making sense? Yeah.
[00:51:16] [SPEAKER_05] Yeah.
[00:51:17] [SPEAKER_00] Okay. Good. Um, and then, you know, I like to break this down a little further. So like I'll take all my button downs and those will go together and then I'll take all my turtlenecks and those will go together. Okay. No, et cetera, et cetera. Okay. And then, um, once you're done with that, then you can take each category, hang all that up and then you can start to color coordinate it. Start by. Oh, that's too crazy.
[00:51:40] [SPEAKER_08] That's too crazy.
[00:51:41] [SPEAKER_00] I like, I like that. Yeah. I like that. Light to dark. So look, you know, whenever you go into a shop, this is how they, they sell all their wares and you go in and you can see all the green pieces are together. The blue pieces are together. It makes sense. Yeah. Because then, you know, okay, I'm wearing a pair of, um, black slacks. I want a white top or I want a red top and I can be, I can walk into my wardrobe and it's boom right there.
[00:52:07] [SPEAKER_05] Okay.
[00:52:08] [SPEAKER_00] So take the time. You pulled everything out. You're hanging everything up. Take the time to organize that color. And then last, last one, um, your accessories. So we talked about drawers and if you have the room, keep things that you want to see and hang those up. Like your, you know, anything you need, you need to see, but like accessories, you don't really need to see. You can fold those up scarves, um, belts, um, things like that can go into drawers, hats.
[00:52:34] [SPEAKER_00] You can also put those in drawers or put those in your upper shelves or on wall hooks. And then of course shoes. If you can, if you have shelves for those great, if not, you can get boxes and put those underneath your hanging, hanging clothes. Um, you know, the line, the goal is that your space and your wardrobe needs to be fabulous.
[00:52:55] [SPEAKER_08] Do you think, do you think grandma's going to let you organize her closet like this?
[00:53:00] [SPEAKER_00] Well, um, I'm not sure. I'm going to try. I mean, usually grandma's pretty keen to let me do stuff. Um, not because she can't stop.
[00:53:09] [SPEAKER_09] You better bring her some treats.
[00:53:10] Yeah.
[00:53:11] [SPEAKER_00] Oreos box of Oreos.
[00:53:14] [SPEAKER_08] Bring the dog a cheeseburger. Bring the dog a McDonald's cheeseburger. No hamburger. No cheese. Hamburger.
[00:53:20] [SPEAKER_00] Hamburger. No cheese.
[00:53:22] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. Get two. She'll leave one on the counter and give it to her later.
[00:53:26] [SPEAKER_00] Yeah. Yeah. No, I think, I think she'll be, um, we'll see. I give her about, I probably only have 10 minutes to do it before she's going to want to kick me out.
[00:53:36] [SPEAKER_10] Can you, can you film when you, when you walk up to the door and she answers?
[00:53:42] [SPEAKER_08] Also make her come in the closet and explain things if you don't understand it.
[00:53:47] [SPEAKER_00] Oh yeah.
[00:53:49] [SPEAKER_10] Yeah. Okay. And then we're going to see all of this on Amy's Instagram. Yes. A H D living. Follow Amy.
[00:53:57] [SPEAKER_08] Follow Amy. All right. We got a roll. Good advice. Good advice. Happy almost October. Yeah.
[00:54:05] [SPEAKER_07] All right. See ya.
[00:54:06] [SPEAKER_00] I'll let you know how it goes with grandma. Okay. Bye.
[00:54:09] [SPEAKER_07] Good luck. Peace be with you.
[00:54:13] [SPEAKER_10] Bye.
[00:54:16] [SPEAKER_09] She's got to film that. That'd be funny.
[00:54:19] [SPEAKER_06] Yeah. What do you want? What if, why are you here? I brought you a hamburger for your dog. Yeah.
[00:54:25] [SPEAKER_08] My mom is not your standard Hallmark mom at all. Jesus. How many of you are coming over here today? The great news is though, I didn't get that mom that makes you feel guilty cause you're not there. No, no, it's, it's, it's a great. How long you stand. Yeah. So are you just going to sit here with me or cause I really would like to play on my iPad and she said, wants to gamble on the iPad. You don't like me there. Do you want to go out to eat? I don't eat anymore. I can't eat salad. And then she always goes and shows me her fucked up teeth.
[00:54:56] [SPEAKER_08] I can't eat salad. She won't wear bottom dentures anymore. They hurt. Oh my God. I said, well, let's go get some that don't hurt. I'm not going through that shit again. Okay. And then she smiles like this.
[00:55:05] [SPEAKER_05] It's weird.
[00:55:06] [SPEAKER_08] I'm like, mom, come on. We got it. You're not dead. We got to get some teeth going. And then she said the other day, I'd like to live in 97. Oh, how peculiar. 97, not a hundred. Huh? Yeah. I think she's trying to beat her great grandma or some shit. I don't know. Old people goals. Holy shit. They found it. This is so great. Oh, and I had a followup story to it. Hold on. I don't want these two to become discombobulated. Okay. Um, Oh, great.
[00:55:36] [SPEAKER_08] I never even heard of this. Okay. Kelly McFarland. Why have you not told me about these? Uh huh. It's a one in a million ghost lobster. Oh, what? Yep. It has taken up residence at the new university of new England, Arthur P Gerard Marine science center named Casper. The rare Pokemon is a white lobster, sometimes known as ghost lobsters. And they represent the rarest of the rare lobster colorations found in nature. Oh, it's a light, light, light blue, almost.
[00:56:07] [SPEAKER_08] What do you call it when you can see through it? Translucent. Yes. He's translucent. Wow. He's so great. They won't be serving the sit bread lobster. Just in time for Halloween. Yeah. Ghost lobster. It was donated. The albino crustacean, which scientists named Casper has a white shell with icy blue dots along his body. Think Eliza. Is that right? Elsa from frozen. Oh, if she were a fish. Uh, Casper has a blue undercast and once in a blue moon existed.
[00:56:34] [SPEAKER_08] His coloring is so rare that you any scientists say the odds of meeting him in the wild are approximately one in a hundred million. Oh God. I know. Now I want to go up there next time I'm in Maine. I want to go there. I know. Unfortunately I was just there, so I won't get to go back for 18 months. Work wise. I could go on my own, I suppose.
[00:56:53] [SPEAKER_06] Uh huh.
[00:56:53] [SPEAKER_08] You can, I can travel without a show whenever I would have time off. Holy shit. They found it. Okay. Say it properly.
[00:57:00] Holy shit. They found it. Thank you.
[00:57:02] [SPEAKER_08] In my lifetime. There's about 10 things I would like to have completed before I exit this planet. Okay. I would like to know what happened to Amelia Earhart's plane. Okay. And was that cream we found on the island, did her and the guys survive on the island for a while? Sun cream. Yep. Yeah. Freckle cream. It was actually called freckle cream back in the day. Um, so it was really sunblock. I suppose. I'd like to know what, I'd like to know if there's Bigfoot. I'd like to know if there's Loch Ness Monster.
[00:57:31] [SPEAKER_08] I'd like to know who killed Kennedy, but that's not really whatever. It could have been anybody. Um, but I'd like to know if Noah's Ark is in fact on a mountain in Turkey. Okay. Because everybody says it is, but we haven't done anything about it. Right. Well, we're finally, finally starting to dig. They've done all the sonar, all the radar, all the thing. And there is definitely a boat shape thing. Uh huh.
[00:58:01] [SPEAKER_08] But this is where, well, I probably shouldn't get into it. Why not? Well, this is where Christians and Catholics. Uh huh. I don't speak for all Catholics, obviously, but most of us take these stories from the Bible as lessons. Right. Not literally. Right. But some religious take them literally. Uh huh. Well, once again, the size of this boat could not possibly fit two of everything that was on earth at that time. No. The story is, do I believe there was a flood? Yes.
[00:58:30] [SPEAKER_08] Do I believe there was a guy named Noah? Yes. A little bit of Disney involved. Yeah. Yeah. But then they, and you can't have these conversations with them because they go, it was a miracle. Guidelines for life. Okay.
[00:58:39] [SPEAKER_09] All right. Well, yeah.
[00:58:42] [SPEAKER_08] Libra needs, I'm into miracles too, but not those kinds of miracles. Pisces loves a miracle.
[00:58:46] Oh my God.
[00:58:47] [SPEAKER_08] Fairy dust. So good. After four, after 4,300 years, Daily Mail calls, Noah's Ark 100% confirmed. That's the Daily Mail. So blah, blah, blah, blah. But, um, 100% confirmed refers to the team's confidence that the formation is manmade. This thing that they're, they're on a mountain in Turkey. Um, whether it's really no, what if it's just some other guy's boat? Oh, how are we supposed to know it's Noah's?
[00:59:12] [SPEAKER_09] You have to have faith, Kathleen.
[00:59:15] [SPEAKER_08] Oh, stop it. Stop it. They're finally drilling into the controversial Noah's Ark formation in Turkey. Please. I'm not supposed to call it Turkey. Turkey. Turkey. Uh, following decades of debate, ground penetrating radar scans and competing hypothesis researchers have officially started drilling into the, uh, extract into the ground extracted from beneath
[00:59:40] [SPEAKER_08] the surface, which plans to deploy a specialized robotic camera into any accessible subterranean caverns found during evacuation. Um, excavation. Sorry. Previous surveys detected distinct subsurface anomalies, though definitive proof connecting the site to Noah's Ark remains unconfirmed. The operation represents, uh, the most direct investigation to date into what lies underneath
[01:00:09] [SPEAKER_08] one of archeology's biggest mysteries. Um, they have, the radar says there are a possible chambers, tunnels, and layered fractures beneath the mountain.
[01:00:19] [SPEAKER_05] Mm-hmm.
[01:00:21] [SPEAKER_08] Andrew Jones, who has studied the site for nearly 30 years, called the findings a compelling new line of evidence and says he believes the formation could contain the Ark's remains. Huh. I, if there was a flood coming, uh-huh, I'm sure Noah wasn't the only one who built a boat. Right. I'm just saying, how do we know? So, I guess we take the biblical information and then the maps. There's secret maps. Mm-hmm. And I don't know. Secret maps. But I'd like to solve that. Okay. Before I'm dead.
[01:00:52] [SPEAKER_08] So I'm glad those people are on it. Um.
[01:00:56] [SPEAKER_09] You better not retire, or you should retire now, and then you gotta go figure that out.
[01:01:00] [SPEAKER_08] I can't be involved. I don't, I'm not smart enough. Yeah, you are. No, no, no, no, no. I'd have to be given gopher chores, which is totally fine. Yeah. Just act like I'm working with my dad. Mm-hmm. He'd go, go, go get me the. You were showing turkey. Great news. News. We're gonna call Holly Bobby in a little bit here. Moving on to news. This is so great. Two giant pandas flew from China to Atlanta. Uh-huh. FedEx, the Panda Express, it literally is called the Panda Express, and FedEx. So great.
[01:01:29] [SPEAKER_08] Has been doing this for 20 years. Mm-hmm. Um, they flew on a 777. Uh, well that was. Big plane. Yeah, that was the last one. But, um, these two, hold on, I'm gonna tell you their names. Uh, remember Ling Ling and Zing Zing? Yep. Yeah. You saw them in DC. I did. Mm-hmm. The two new pandas are named Ping Ping and Fu Shuang. Ping Ping is a male, Fu Shuang a female.
[01:01:59] [SPEAKER_08] Both were born at the Chengdu Research Base. Uh, there's a couple days of giant panda breeding in China. Their move has been known since April when the Atlanta, when the zoo Atlanta announced a new conservation agreement with child, China Wildlife Conservation Association. But the timing was confirmed, uh, for the first time and the pandas have arrived. Nice. And I saw the crates they're in. I don't understand how they're breathing that good, but obviously they are. There's a, there's a welcome line. Oh. People line the streets. They have to stay in quarantine for a while.
[01:02:29] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. Yeah. They welcome them. But it's so great, I can drive down there. Cool. You know how I love the zoo.
[01:02:34] [SPEAKER_10] We can go to the Dolly Trom stop too.
[01:02:35] [SPEAKER_08] I don't know, yeah. I don't know what happened to the Indianapolis Zoo, but they've lost their accreditation. Do they still have their animals? Oh, yeah. I didn't do a deep dive. Just saw the headline and went. Um, yeah. And I've never been to the Atlanta Zoo. I've been to the aquarium there, which is great. Phenomenal. Especially for a downtown aquarium. This is cool. Um, I haven't been to that one. It's always so hot in Atlanta. You think I can't. It's always so hot. It's hot in the summer. It's always hot.
[01:03:05] [SPEAKER_08] Um, it's always hot. Uh, all right. This is great. So sports news. Mm-hmm. So if you don't follow, quick catch up. Yep. You don't need to really understand. Okay. There's a rookie quarterback for the Raiders. His name is Fernando Mendoza. Uh-huh. He's adorable. And he won the Heisman Trophy. He's the sweetest thing ever. His mom, I think, has MS or something and she's beautiful, but she's in a wheelchair, so they have to take, it's a lot of effort to transport her. Move her around and this and that.
[01:03:32] [SPEAKER_08] And he's always the first one to like, like be by her side. Uh, I think because they have a mom that has issues. Yep. He's just nicer. He also seems- He's a sweet soul. He's a sweet soul. He always is smiling. He does seem a little spectrum-y, but in a really good way. Yeah. Like, he is just smiling. Watch your child. Let's do this. I don't feel there's a mean bone in his body, but this is even better than feelings and
[01:04:02] [SPEAKER_08] sweetness, which is great. Um, he's 22 years old. Uh-huh. You can tell the way he rattles stuff off and stuff as one of Carrot Top's friends says, he has a touch of the tism.
[01:04:14] Yeah.
[01:04:14] [SPEAKER_08] I think Fernando might have a touch of the tism. Nothing bad about that. Um, he, this is so great. So way back in the day, one of my brothers dated a woman who was very nice. I don't remember her name. She was the financial advisor, educational person for the rookies of the St. Louis Rams when we had the football team. Oh, what a great idea. Right. Because they're all of a sudden given- A lot of money.
[01:04:45] [SPEAKER_08] A million or more, and they go out and buy a car wash.
[01:04:48] [SPEAKER_07] No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. What are we doing here? A lot of cousins come out of the woodwork. Yeah. Oh my God.
[01:04:54] [SPEAKER_08] It's just a disaster. But like, like my one brother said, you know, we're taking a lot of cousins. I'm taking guys who in high school and they can't pay attention in college because they have to play college football, which is all consuming. They need a little bit of help. They need help. And focus. Well, I, shit, I came from a lawyer and a nurse. All my dad taught me was the stock market because it's legalized gambling. He's like, do you like your shirts from the Gap? And then he'd show me in the newspaper where I could look at the Gap stock. Do you think it's going up or down?
[01:05:22] [SPEAKER_08] And then I'm an addict, so I became all involved in that. Great idea. But like, I don't understand the bond market. I didn't. And my dad taught us how to open a bank account and write a check. But like mortgages, I think it should all be taught in high school.
[01:05:38] [SPEAKER_10] Yes. Like how to. My parents drove around our small town.
[01:05:41] [SPEAKER_08] Here's what's going to happen if you get a credit card. You know, this is what you need to do with a credit card. This is what you. No, my parents never taught us any of that.
[01:05:48] [SPEAKER_09] When I moved to the States on a college campus, I was offered a Planet Hollywood credit card and I got a free.
[01:05:55] [SPEAKER_06] I got a free.
[01:05:57] [SPEAKER_10] Get glass. And I just wrote my social security number right down on that piece of paper and handed it back to that person.
[01:06:04] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah, we need a great. We needed help. When I bought my first house, my brother was like, what the fuck, Kathleen? Why do you have all these credit cards? I go, Pat, I was buying all those donuts and I got 10% off. So why wouldn't I, Pat? Why wouldn't I have Donut Palace credit cards? Like I had like a million. Banana Republic, Victoria's Secret. Right. And he's like, you need to get rid of some of these. So I started doing what he said. And then he goes, whoa, you got rid of too many. I'm like, what do you mean too many?
[01:06:34] [SPEAKER_08] You told me to get. There's a sweet spot. There's a sweet spot. You have to show that you have recurring debt and that you can pay your debt. There's so many complicated things.
[01:06:42] [SPEAKER_07] Right.
[01:06:43] [SPEAKER_08] Now, this is what's great about Fernando. He's 22 years old. This week he announced what he is doing with his rookie season. He doesn't play yet as far as I know. I haven't watched it again. Kirk Cousins is playing. Yeah, Kirk Cousins. That's fine. Go learn. He's starting a series called Finance with Fernando to teach people his own age about how to handle money. Oh, yeah. Yeah. That's right. My true passion is fiscal responsibility. He's not bluffing.
[01:07:12] [SPEAKER_08] He graduated from the Haas School of Business at Berkeley. He's finishing his master's in business administration in December. Here's how he got to the point where a 22 year old can say that. All four of his grandparents left Cuba for Miami in 1960. He grew up in Miami and played at Christopher Columbus High School in two seasons as a starting quarterback. He threw for 1,400 yards and 16 touchdowns total. Nobody was building a recruiting class around that. He committed to Yale. You don't think of Yale football.
[01:07:40] [SPEAKER_08] No, no, no. Then it goes on and on and on and on and on. We don't need to go through all that. It's too hard for people that don't care about football. First Heisman Trophy in Indiana history. Instead of winning a round, he's finishing his NBA. Right now, he's behind Kirk Cousins. So Kirk is the starting quarterback. Fernando's learning. One thing more. Fernando's got too much going on to play. His mother has MS. He and his brother worked with restaurants to put items on the menu that raise money for MS research. That's so great.
[01:08:10] [SPEAKER_08] They're all adorable. Nobody knows about money. And we all talk about it. We all had to go learn it on our own. Like, why didn't my mom and dad say, what are you doing for a home loan? I got one of those bananas ones back in the day. The arm ones? The arm one. Because nobody takes a comedian seriously. You have to explain that to the children. The arm loan. Yeah, I don't really know what ARM stood for. That's probably a starting problem. Oh, adjustable rate mortgage.
[01:08:39] [SPEAKER_08] Adjustable rate mortgage. So you get this mortgage at this horrible rate, or a good rate, a pretty good rate. Middle rate. But six months, if you don't pay X amount of dollars, they can just jack it to 10% or some crazy ass percent. I was sure to pay mine off, so I got away with it. Wow. I shouldn't say got away with it, but I was like, I'm not letting you people. You abided by the terms of the contract. I did. Yes.
[01:09:05] [SPEAKER_07] And I don't think they thought I would, because they called me a birthday clown at the bank. Yeah, you know. That's fine. Yeah. Go ahead.
[01:09:12] [SPEAKER_09] We should go back there now. Underestimate me. Give him one of those beautiful day drinker hats. That's always better to be underestimated.
[01:09:21] [SPEAKER_08] Speaking of college football. Watch this. Watch this. I'm going to watch his series. Yeah, it's great. I mean, I still don't know enough. What a great idea. I saw a headline that said bond market crashing. I had to text Pat. What does that even mean? I don't know. He doesn't even take your calls anymore. No, I know. He's like, I'll tell you when I see you. I guess it's too much to type. I don't know. I will see him soon for a little birthday golf. Nice. He can explain it on the golf course. That'll be fun for him. That'll be fun. For him. It'll require some vodka.
[01:09:51] [SPEAKER_08] Hey, Pat, this is great what you're talking about, but the drink carts right over here. So I'm going to go get a Paloma.
[01:09:59] [SPEAKER_10] Would you like a Paloma?
[01:10:00] [SPEAKER_08] You keep talking about the Chinese bond market. Oh my God. Bond markets in Palomas. Sounds like a pop up book. Do you have any Lance orange crackers? Pay no attention to him. He's still talking about something. I have no idea what he's talking about. I asked a question I didn't need to know the answer to. Speaking of college football, former coach Tommy. So can we Google who he coached for? Yeah. Tommy to Tuberville.
[01:10:28] [SPEAKER_08] He's a senator now in Alabama. Yeah, he's in Alabama. That's why I thought he coached for Alabama. Oh, he's got some big ears.
[01:10:38] [SPEAKER_09] American men are retired. Oh, he's a retired sports broadcaster too. Oh, head football coach at Auburn.
[01:10:44] [SPEAKER_10] Auburn. 99 to 2008. Also the head coach at the University of Mississippi, 95 to 98. Texas Tech, 2010 to 2012.
[01:10:53] [SPEAKER_09] And finally, the University of Cincinnati, 2013 to 16. Okay. He won five national coach of the year awards.
[01:10:59] [SPEAKER_08] Well, Tommy ran for office in Alabama as a Republican, as one would expect. And Tommy won because he was the coach of Auburn. He was a football coach. And they recognized the name and they like him. Yeah. Well, he took to social media last Thursday to blast furries. What? If you go watch my special hunting Bigfoot, I have jokes about furries. Wait, what? Yeah. Furries? He's very angry. Gas is $4.14 a gallon. Yeah. But in the South, he is super pissed about furries.
[01:11:30] [SPEAKER_08] The meat counter at my Kroger closed, but he is pissed. He said to blast furries, which is if you don't know a community of people that often dresses an anthropomorphic, I can't say it. Anthropomorphic. They dress in animal suits. Right. Doubling down on his widely mocked claims that the practice is a danger to the airline industry.
[01:11:53] [SPEAKER_08] He's specifically calling out airlines, people, pilots, flight attendants, everybody. As you would. I mean. Tuberbell said in the Post, there is an alarming number of these deranged people working in our airline industry, referring to furries. The Senator did not provide any data, any backing or data for his claims. Instead, sharing an NBC news clip of a radio recording from Ronald Reagan, Washington
[01:12:22] [SPEAKER_08] airport in which two pilots can be heard meowing and barking at each other.
[01:12:28] What?
[01:12:28] [SPEAKER_08] I meow all the time. You do. It's weird. Well, it's the code. Sometimes you forget that people. No, but if I'm in target with my nieces, I don't want to yell out Claire and Emily. I just go meow and they find me.
[01:12:42] Oh.
[01:12:43] [SPEAKER_08] In a follow up. It's normal. In a, well, I think it is. Absolutely. In a follow up. I'm not a furry, but I'll go with you on the voiceovers. I'll do voiceovers. So he heard two pilots. In a follow up. He shared a link for an aviation fur meetup. What? Yeah. He found a link. They were having a little mini convention. I bet it was on Facebook. That occurred at a furry convention in Minneapolis earlier this month. He said, would you be comfortable with a mentally ill furry being your pilot?
[01:13:13] [SPEAKER_08] I would fucking love it if the pilot was dressed like a squirrel. I cannot tell you how excited I get at the Denver airport to see which animal is going to be on the tail wing of my frontier flight. I usually fly frontier around the west and mountain goat. I just get excited to see what plane I got. You know, it's a little things. It is. I don't think they're mentally ill. That's what they like to do for fun. Totally.
[01:13:40] [SPEAKER_08] I think it'd be hilarious if the flight attendant was a giant chipmunk. I think they'd have problems negotiating the aisle because those costumes can be quite large. Yeah. And I don't want mean stuff. I don't want like a rattlesnake or stuff. It has to be fun, like an Arctic Fox or specifically no major medical organizations categorize being a furry as a mental illness. Oh, he's very. Do we have? Oh, hold on.
[01:14:08] [SPEAKER_08] In a Senate floor speech, Superville claimed Tyler Robinson is on trial for assassinating right wing Charlie Kirk that he was a furry. What? Yeah. You heard me. The guy.
[01:14:19] [SPEAKER_09] What does this man do in his free time to get? He's on Facebook.
[01:14:23] [SPEAKER_08] For the facial book for the older people. Oh, wow. A Utah furry community said they had no association with that man. None of us are pilots. We condemn in the strongest terms the spreading of hate conspiracy theories and misinformation from any side of the political spectrum.
[01:14:40] Wow.
[01:14:40] [SPEAKER_08] The furry pop community. One case you want a little history became popularized and more aware to general public in the 2010s. 2010s. It invested in make art, attend conventions, and sometimes wear full body animal costumes. You have to go watch my special on Take Bigfoot. I talk all about how I learned about the furries. Right here. In a bar. In a Marriott.
[01:14:59] [SPEAKER_07] Okay. This specific bit.
[01:15:04] [SPEAKER_08] I mean, the point is, hey, first of all. That would be a great documentary. These pilots and flight attendants can do whatever they want in their free time. Exactly. You don't get to judge. Right. You don't get to go. So you'd be mad if they're a drag queen. You're mad if they're a furry. What do you want them to do? I mean, people have their, whatever their thing is, that's your thing. Are you hurting anybody? If the answer's no, you're good. You're good. You do you. You're good. I would love it.
[01:15:31] [SPEAKER_08] And just to sit there and watch my Delta crew show up. Yeah. What are they dressed as today? Oh my God. My flight attendant's a beagle. We got a pony. Yay. It's a unicorn. Yay. Well done. I think it would make people much happier.
[01:15:47] Yeah. Yeah.
[01:15:49] [SPEAKER_08] Forget the uniform. Tommy would be very upset. He's very upset. Wonder who he flies.
[01:15:57] [SPEAKER_09] Probably Nick Saban's private jet. Probably. We didn't know. He was an Alabama coach. We need to find out if we have any furry termites. Termites. Fur mites.
[01:16:07] [SPEAKER_08] Fur mites. Yeah. Yeah. I've never met furry. Me neither. No. But here's what I really want to know. How much is the costume? They look very expensive. Very expensive. Yeah. If you think of like a mascot, like Fred Bird for the St. Louis Cardinals, that thing's probably worth seven grand, 10 grand. And here's my other question. How do you fly it? There's a whole thing on Etsy.
[01:16:32] [SPEAKER_09] Furry body costumes. Oh my God. There's thousands of them. How much are they? Oh buddy. eBay. Yeah. Let's see what the eBay ones are. Oh, they're used. That'll be weird.
[01:16:41] [SPEAKER_06] Uh huh.
[01:16:43] [SPEAKER_09] Too much sweat. Oh, this one's an olive green monster.
[01:16:47] [SPEAKER_10] He's 74 bucks.
[01:16:51] [SPEAKER_09] Oh, but this is a fursuit. Padded black, white and pink, brown.
[01:16:56] [SPEAKER_08] Oh, he's a, well, 500 bucks or best offer. Okay. Well, they're cheaper than I thought. Yeah. So the children can do it. Speaking of airlines, um, Delta airlines was named the best airline staff in North America. Yep. And I couldn't agree more. I just could not agree more. Uh, I love all my little Delta friends at the Nashville airport and the Atlanta airport. And I love the Delta bar, uh, club bartenders. I know all of the ones in Atlanta. You do all of them. You're a regular. They quit serving people to come out and hug me.
[01:17:27] [SPEAKER_08] And it's wonderful.
[01:17:29] [SPEAKER_10] I'll be right with you.
[01:17:32] [SPEAKER_08] I know. And they don't even care. There's always a line of elderly white men waiting for their gin and tonics. And my bartenders go, whoa, what's up? And they just one time I beat the white man. Not that I'm look, I love white men. My, all my brothers are white men. Yeah. Um, my dad was one, but in the general public in the wild, sometimes I feel like I'm overlooked because mainly it's cause I'm short. Yeah. You're under the sight line. I'm under the sight line. I'm just one of the, I'm a, I'm an actual child. I also like that.
[01:18:01] [SPEAKER_09] They're all standing there either with no tip or one, one dollar, one dollar.
[01:18:05] [SPEAKER_08] Who does that drinking for free? Yeah. Stop it. Um, this is speaking of like furries and the children that have their things. This is so great. A Scottish grandmother sets the oldest female fortnight streaming record. She plays fortnight. What? That's awesome. She said a Guinness world record for me, the oldest female fortnight fortnight streamer.
[01:18:29] [SPEAKER_06] That's awesome.
[01:18:30] [SPEAKER_08] Kathy Bowie, whose username is grumpy grand 1948 on fortnight and other platforms regularly streams herself playing the video game for up to six hours a day. Six hours. Yeah. God. Um, she beat the record in 2027. That's awesome. Um, she was instantly intrigued when she saw her grandson playing the game when fortnight launched battle Royale mode and she's played ever since nearly nine years later. I'm still playing it. Absolutely loving it. And although I grow older, I've never made my age as a deterrent.
[01:19:00] [SPEAKER_05] Nice.
[01:19:01] [SPEAKER_08] Although I've tried several other games, I've never found the excitement I get from fortnight. I call myself a fortnight, a fortnighter more than a gamer.
[01:19:09] [SPEAKER_06] Okay.
[01:19:09] [SPEAKER_08] She has 24,000 followers. Uh, she describes herself on Twitch. That's the app for the gamer people, as chatty, friendly, friendly, never toxic and a true bot. Amen. Um, what's your bio? I'm a true bot. Yes. Granny bot. She said, no one's too old to start gaming. They should just do it. The most important thing I, and all these years is I've continued to enjoy every day,
[01:19:38] [SPEAKER_08] every week, every month, and every year that I have played and streamed. Why is nobody sponsoring this woman? I know. It's amazing.
[01:19:44] [SPEAKER_09] Right?
[01:19:46] [SPEAKER_08] God. She has glasses. Somebody go do an eyewear thing. Granny bot. Love it. Um, this is a weird little fact. There's one remaining blockbuster store in the world. The world.
[01:20:00] The world.
[01:20:00] [SPEAKER_08] Oh my God. And it's located in somewhere not easy to get to. Uh, bend Oregon. Really? Mm hmm. So I watched, I watched a whole, the video that's attached to this and I would totally want to go in. So they still have DVDs, but they also have all the gamer stuff. And then they have like little, so if you want. So it's like a GameStop and also. Yeah. They were smart. They were like, we're going to keep going.
[01:20:29] [SPEAKER_08] Cause the gamer kids will jump on that. Apparently there's GameStops everywhere and there's always, I don't know. I found a blockbuster card cleaning out a drawer. Oh. About a month ago. They. I don't know how it's made it this far. Well, they said I owed them like $1,200 for a sign of music and I never paid it. So you're full of shit. I returned it. Take me to Swall claims court. Right. No, I'm going to outlast you. That's it. Unless that. I'll go buy it at Walmart and I'll give it back to you for 20 bucks.
[01:20:56] [SPEAKER_08] Well, it was just, you know, it was never returned, which it was. I don't, but if you want to go to one, there's some in-depth stories, but that we're going to do that are great. The five ways AI is going to kill us. Oh, good. But here's my thing. Who wrote that? What if AI wrote that to throw us off the trail? Okay. Now we're getting into weird sci-fi shit. No. Come on. It's common sense.
[01:21:22] [SPEAKER_08] If, if AI already has a mind of its own here, tell them we're going to kill them like this. And then they don't, they go five other ways and kill us like that. Huh? Can't believe anything anymore.
[01:21:33] [SPEAKER_09] Just enjoy your life. Head down. Keep going. You, you and I are tricked separately. I'm tricked. At least twice a week. Oh, I'm tricked a lot online. A lot. But they, sometimes they bring you great joy. Yes. Uh oh. Hold on. I love all the dancing Taylor Swift cat videos. Um, they're hilarious. Uh, they are funny.
[01:21:53] [SPEAKER_08] I, it, you know, AI, I'm in, I'm in for sparkles. I'm in for the funny. Yeah. But I don't know why we have, it's doing evil things. Um, okay. Let's call Holly Bobby. Okay. Before he has to leave. And then we'll finish on with our news.
[01:22:09] [SPEAKER_09] Holly Bobby.
[01:22:11] Chh, chh.
[01:22:11] [SPEAKER_08] Because I have a lot.
[01:22:13] [SPEAKER_09] Let's see.
[01:22:17] [SPEAKER_08] The VMAs. There's a lot to talk about. And I don't even care about that shit.
[01:22:21] [SPEAKER_09] No. The VMAs? No. I can't.
[01:22:25] [SPEAKER_08] I mean, I just fast forward a lot. Okay.
[01:22:36] [SPEAKER_03] Oh, she goes.
[01:22:37] [SPEAKER_08] Oh, Aloha. I love it. I like it.
[01:22:41] [SPEAKER_03] Do you like it? Cause it's so humid here in Los Angeles. It feels like Hawaii.
[01:22:48] [SPEAKER_07] Great.
[01:22:50] [SPEAKER_03] Um, I love it.
[01:22:53] [SPEAKER_08] Um, Holly Bobby. Are you driving back to Palm Springs?
[01:22:58] [SPEAKER_03] No. Can you hear me? Okay. Cause I'm in my car. I'm driving from Palm Springs to Burbank because, um, I have to be here for the week for tapings. So. Oh, wonderful. I know.
[01:23:10] [SPEAKER_08] Okay. I know we can't ask you if there's anybody super famous coming, but you could tell us later afterwards.
[01:23:17] [SPEAKER_03] Yes. We have a big, big show today with a big movie star. There's a movie opening on Friday.
[01:23:22] [SPEAKER_08] Oh, can we, can we play 20 questions? I'm kidding. I'm not going to do that.
[01:23:26] [SPEAKER_03] Let's start with, let's start with, I know we want to talk about the VMAs, but there's a couple of things that I saw last night and I was just like going, I have to call Kathy. Okay.
[01:23:36] And paddle.
[01:23:38] [SPEAKER_03] First of all, termites, let's all wish Kathy a happy early birthday. Oh, stop it. Stop it. Yay. Paddles. I'm going to make something for her birthday and I'm going to ship it to the post office box in three weeks when it's ready.
[01:23:55] [SPEAKER_10] Oh, wonderful. It's going to take you three weeks to make it.
[01:23:58] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. Cause I'm real busy.
[01:24:00] [SPEAKER_10] So I'm too busy to get your birthday.
[01:24:02] [SPEAKER_08] You're a Hollywood booker with major Hollywood stars. You don't have time to be crocheting me a blanket. With sparkles.
[01:24:12] [SPEAKER_03] I don't want a sparkle blanket. It's going to be a dolly crochet blanket. I'm going to put a bunch of rhinestones on it.
[01:24:20] [SPEAKER_10] That's great. I want one for my birthday too.
[01:24:23] [SPEAKER_03] Okay. All right. I think you're in March, right? I am. Okay. And then, oh my God, I know he's not a king, but did you see who's retiring finally and getting off the road? Rod Stewart.
[01:24:36] Yes.
[01:24:36] [SPEAKER_08] I know we talked about it earlier. Cause I didn't know that would interest you, but notice how the old guys always go. I'm not retiring, but I'm not touring. Uh, well he said he's going to tour 2027 and then no more touring, but that doesn't mean it's like Elton John was wonderful last night.
[01:24:55] [SPEAKER_03] Right. Right.
[01:24:57] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. Rod doesn't want to be left out of the conversation.
[01:25:01] [SPEAKER_03] No, he doesn't. He doesn't. But I feel bad for these people. I mean, they're dropping like flies on their, on the stage. I mean, it's kind of like, you know, it's like hit or miss. Do we buy the tickets and go out to dinner and go see the concert and just to have it postponed? You know?
[01:25:18] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. True. Well, you always have to take the anybody over 80. Uh, I think you, you, you're taking the risk that the thing may not happen.
[01:25:27] Right.
[01:25:29] [SPEAKER_03] Totally. Totally.
[01:25:30] [SPEAKER_08] You need a lot of availability.
[01:25:32] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. But what about the VMAs? I know you're going to make fun of Madonna and Clark and I rewatched it again last night and we absolutely loved it. She was fantastic.
[01:25:42] [SPEAKER_08] Jeez. You and every other gay guy in the world will double, triple down. No matter what she does, she's climbing on a table and shaking and can't get, she can't get up. She can't get off the table. You know who can pull this off at this age? Cher. Yes.
[01:26:00] [SPEAKER_07] Yes.
[01:26:01] [SPEAKER_08] Cher show in Las Vegas. And she was probably, I don't know, 78 at the time. And she did the whole, if I could turn back to him in that outfit and goes, what's your grandma doing tonight? And I thought exactly, exactly. Madonna. And people were saying, Bob, you cannot deny. People were saying they were very concerned about her. She seemed confused or, or high or drunk or something.
[01:26:28] [SPEAKER_03] When, when did she seem confused?
[01:26:31] [SPEAKER_08] Oh, when she, how about, how about when she was standing there saying, I don't know what award I won. Right. Right. And the child had to reopen the envelope. And tell her.
[01:26:42] [SPEAKER_03] Is this your name? That was after she performed. After that's after she won three other awards and had to go on stage. So, you know, maybe she had a drink or two.
[01:26:53] [SPEAKER_08] Well, you know, yeah. Or an edible. It's true. They said because of the football game ran late and there was in Brazil that the 15 minute late start really threw her and she got mad, which I get it. I mean, you're all ready to go. And then you're like 15 more minutes. You're like shit, you know? But I mean, the performance was fine with Sabrina Carpenter.
[01:27:16] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. But she had good cameos. She had somber. She had Sabrina. She had Charlie X, the ex who was excellent. Seth Rogen made a cameo. Oh, come on.
[01:27:28] [SPEAKER_08] Come on. I just don't think at her age. And that doesn't mean everyone that age because Cher can. Madonna. It's starting to look. You got you guys want her in this capsule of time that never changes. Yeah. And it can't be that way. People.
[01:27:46] [SPEAKER_03] Stop it. He's wrong.
[01:27:52] [SPEAKER_10] I'm on. I'm on team Kathy on this one. Oh, yeah, I am.
[01:27:57] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah. Julia Garner was in it, too. I know. I know. I saw Julia Garner. The children did really good propping up from Madonna.
[01:28:06] [SPEAKER_08] There's a lot of rolling around. How about when they just like rolled her onto that table and then she's rolling around? Like I actually was concerned. There was a lot of moments I was concerned. She can't walk in those heels. She couldn't stand. She can stand in the heels.
[01:28:22] [SPEAKER_09] Bobby, you know it.
[01:28:24] [SPEAKER_03] The heels were a problem. I'm going to give you the heels. And also the table, the way it was flying around the audience, I really thought she was going to slide off the table. I did, too.
[01:28:33] [SPEAKER_06] I know. I was like, wow. This is all of a sudden going to be a mosh pit. Boom. And I didn't get to see it.
[01:28:42] [SPEAKER_08] But what did Taylor do there?
[01:28:45] [SPEAKER_03] Taylor. Oh, Taylor tossed her new video that Clark and I liked. Dakota Fanning presented her with the award for Best Light Director. And they tossed to the premiere of her new music video with Dakota Fanning in it.
[01:28:59] [SPEAKER_06] And Colin Farrell's in it. And Colin Farrell's in it, too.
[01:29:01] [SPEAKER_03] Colin Farrell's in it, too. I mean, it was good. It was really, really good. And the song was good, too. Well, you know what?
[01:29:08] [SPEAKER_08] I think it's sad she's gotten bad reviews on those four songs. And you know me. I don't really care either which way about Taylor. But those songs were written with the album originally. And they're like, she's not moving on. Those were already written. You have to give somebody a break for that.
[01:29:22] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah, this was a bonus album. Right, right. Stop.
[01:29:27] [SPEAKER_08] Well, I have an article in front of me, Bobby, that says the ratings dropped 50% from last year, the lowest numbers ever. Vans.
[01:29:35] [SPEAKER_03] No, that's not true. They're up 51%. Okay.
[01:29:39] [SPEAKER_08] Well, I'm telling you, this is from showbiz411.com. Now, this is maybe before they got.
[01:29:47] [SPEAKER_03] Never heard of it. What? Never heard of that site. Never heard of it.
[01:29:51] [SPEAKER_08] Okay. It's not reputable. But I did see the one that says what you're saying, that they did, in fact, have way better ratings than normal.
[01:29:59] [SPEAKER_03] Totally. And I think it was probably because you had, you know, two huge stars, Madonna and Taylor Swift, you know, buying for the same, you know, awards.
[01:30:11] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah.
[01:30:12] [SPEAKER_03] Yeah.
[01:30:13] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. I don't know, Bobby. All right. Well, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Did you enjoy Kacey Musgraves is Dolly Parton tribute?
[01:30:23] [SPEAKER_03] That was what I was going to ask you next, because I thought it was very genuine. Like, I love the Whitney Houston version. Like that is one of my all time favorite songs.
[01:30:31] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah.
[01:30:32] [SPEAKER_03] But I really thought she captured the Dolly essence of Dolly's version of this.
[01:30:36] [SPEAKER_08] I have. Honestly, I didn't get to watch it. There was a lot of football on and I prefer that. So, and I'm in gambling. I'm a gambling addict. So I had fantasy teams to manage. I don't have time to watch Madonna roll around a card table, but I did actually watch some of that, but I'm, I have it. I can go stream it. I do want to see, I've seen clips of Kacey's on, on Instagram and stuff. It looked very sincere.
[01:31:00] [SPEAKER_03] It was very sincere. And first of all, I am very upset that you did not watch the VMAs. Now I know why you want to talk about the VMAs because you wanted me to do the dirty work and spend two hours watching it from top to the bottom.
[01:31:14] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. But you like Madonna. You like it. Yeah.
[01:31:18] [SPEAKER_10] Madonna's still on that stage, Bob.
[01:31:20] [SPEAKER_08] She, if you had there, if you had this podcast, she'd be one of your Queens. She's not one of mine.
[01:31:25] [SPEAKER_10] No, she can't get up. Go get her. I'm hung up.
[01:31:33] [SPEAKER_08] No, Cher is so much better. Or Cindy. No, I'm just saying facts. Yeah. Just, just facts. We're trying to bring it to the light. My idol Stevie Nicks does not only not wear heels, she has black tennis shoes that are draped around like they're a boot. And I know it's a goddamn sketcher. I can see it. But you know what? I said, good for you, Stevie. Yeah.
[01:32:00] [SPEAKER_08] If you're 78 years old and your feet hurt, you can't wear heels that long on stage. Nope. You can't twirl for sure. No, we phase out. We phase out of heels. All right, Bobby. All right. Get home safe.
[01:32:14] [SPEAKER_05] No, I'm not. All right. You're going to Burbank.
[01:32:16] [SPEAKER_08] I know you're going to Burbank. I know there's a major movie star coming in. Yes. We're not going to talk about who it is. He's going to pick them up at the airport. No, he's not. I know.
[01:32:24] [SPEAKER_03] I've got 43 more minutes to go. Oh, by the way, in Burbank, next time you come to LAX or LA, the Burbank airport, the new terminal is opening on October 23rd.
[01:32:36] [SPEAKER_08] I read that. Are they still going to call it Bob Hope?
[01:32:42] [SPEAKER_03] No, they got rid of that name like a couple of years ago. It's Hollywood Burbank airport now. And they have nonstop flights to Nashville on Southwest.
[01:32:50] [SPEAKER_08] Oh, that's too. My limit on Southwest is two hours.
[01:32:55] [SPEAKER_03] I know. I know. I don't think you'll take it, but still. You never know.
[01:33:00] [SPEAKER_09] I'd rather drive to California. My God.
[01:33:05] [SPEAKER_08] No. People that go, I want to see all of America. No, you don't. Trust it from a lady who has.
[01:33:11] [SPEAKER_09] No.
[01:33:12] [SPEAKER_08] All right, Bobby, you get there safe and you take care of that movie star.
[01:33:17] [SPEAKER_03] Okay. Mission accomplished.
[01:33:21] [SPEAKER_06] Oh, good one. Oh, he's dropping eggs like Taylor. You got tiny eggs.
[01:33:27] [SPEAKER_10] Holly Bobby's got eggs.
[01:33:31] [SPEAKER_08] So great. He hung up on us. Yeah, he sure did. No. We're moving on with news. He's brilliant. You know, this is just, let me say this. Okay. And this is a, I really thought about it. Okay. So like, I try to watch VMAs and I understand I'm old. I get it. And like my nieces love Tate McRae. Yeah. But Tate McRae, whether it's Tate McRae, Sabrina, I'm not talking about country stars. This does not involve Carrie Underpants or Lainey Wilson or any of them.
[01:34:00] [SPEAKER_08] It applies to the pop artist. Okay. Sabrina, Charlie X 1489, whatever that lady's number is. It's probably your phone number. Yeah. Tate McRae, who's primarily a dancer, but I call them the whisperers and they kind of sing too, but it's really just a track. Um, I can keep going down the list. All of them and whatever, I don't care. They're all basically in some sort of negligee.
[01:34:28] [SPEAKER_09] They're basically a very old statement. Of course it is. Yeah.
[01:34:32] [SPEAKER_08] Negligee. They're basically semi naked. And then I thought, okay, so the twins are 17. The twins are 18. 18. Like I said, the twins are 18. When I was 18, what women did I like? Now I don't think we had pop. Well, Madonna might've been the start of it, but here's who I liked. Um, Cindy Lauper.
[01:34:59] [SPEAKER_08] She dressed completely outrageously, but she was dressed. Um, Joan Jett. Joan has the same outfit on basically all the time. Uh, Chrissy Hine. Yep. None of these people are dancing. They're none of them dance. Right. Madonna kind of started pop. Okay. Like, and then like Annie Lennox. These are the people I liked when I was 17. Uh huh. And they're all probably 10 years older than me now.
[01:35:28] [SPEAKER_08] Madonna's debut album came out in 1983. That's when I graduated from high school. Okay. So, and I do remember being in Omaha as a comedian going with the other comedian to a bookstore to see her sex book. We just wanted to say, Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But they, they sealed it. So we couldn't see anything. We thought we could just slip through it. We just, it's a curious, we were curious as to what is she doing now? Okay. So that the pop thing, but where are the non dancer?
[01:35:59] [SPEAKER_08] I, are there any rock women? I mean, Evanescence. I love that Amy, whatever her name is. She's great right now. These award shows are just filled with basically. Well, let's see who won dancer. Yes. This doesn't count rap people and it doesn't count country people. I'm saying the people that you listen to on the radio at your age. Let's see the radio. I mean, that sounds old in itself, but Spotify women of rock.
[01:36:29] [SPEAKER_08] I don't know what any of these people are.
[01:36:33] [SPEAKER_09] Uh, billboard. Are there any? Well, it says no, it's all female artists. And then that's Taylor Swift because of the, that's billboard just because of the records. Yeah. Alternative and pop. Hang on. Well, Adele, but she's not young. I, yeah, she's not.
[01:36:53] [SPEAKER_02] Who's this?
[01:36:53] [SPEAKER_09] And I don't think the same team. Grace McKagan.
[01:36:56] [SPEAKER_02] Oh.
[01:36:56] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah. She's alternative. Alternative. Alternative is not rock. The pistols.
[01:37:02] [SPEAKER_08] No idea. Who would do that when we already had the sex pistols? Miss lady. Star crawler. Okay. We can stop that. Um, there aren't any is the answer. Seriously. I understand. Yeah. I'm just saying, I know that my nieces don't know anybody you just read. Rounding it off. The Linda Lindas. But I don't even think my nieces would care about Adele. The 17 year olds. I'm focusing on them. Okay.
[01:37:31] [SPEAKER_08] Who are you listening to? And then I think, what was I listening to?
[01:37:35] Billie Eilish.
[01:37:35] [SPEAKER_08] Is she rock? Billie Eilish is definitely not rock. She's sad locked in the basement music. I don't mind it, but I don't understand it. But at least she has clothes on. True. No, I sound like my dad. You do? Well, she's not. She's not a dancer. Well, a little bit, I guess. I don't really know enough. Okay. We're moving on. We're moving on. Okay. This is crazy.
[01:38:02] [SPEAKER_08] More than a hundred people suffered brain injuries after riding famous six flags roller coaster. Lawsuit says. Whoa. I have seen videos on Instagram. I assume they're real. Uh huh. I don't know of parents saying this is my daughter before she went to six flags. Looks like the cutest 17 year old kid ever. Right. This is my daughter now because of a brain injury. She's laying in a bed.
[01:38:32] [SPEAKER_08] I mean, just gone, gone. Just, you know, can't. Yeah. Uh, I can't even believe this is, I can leave six flags is still open and I love six flags as a kid, not shitting on six flags. Right. But this roller coaster thing, it's a specific one called the X two. Um, it's a hundred brain injuries, including two deaths. What? Yeah. Of young people. Is it six flags or just one specific one?
[01:39:01] [SPEAKER_08] Uh, I don't know. It's Valencia, California. The X two. Yeah. X two. Oh, it's permanently closed as of 20 minutes ago. Shut up.
[01:39:12] [SPEAKER_10] By the Hollywood reporter. Mm hmm.
[01:39:15] [SPEAKER_08] One lady struck her head against the headrest during the ride. She lost consciousness after getting off. Surgeons were able to save her life. Six flags, magic. She had shit. Oh, six legs, magic mountain. That's the one that has it. So that's the only one. Yeah. Yeah. She had to relearn how to walk and talk. Uh, yeah. Magic mountain to celebrate my daughter's 16th birthday. I expected to go home. But, but, but, but. Well, it's time to sue the shit out of them. Captain coaster says go on it at night.
[01:39:41] [SPEAKER_09] It's epic. Not for the faint of heart, but epic.
[01:39:46] [SPEAKER_08] Um, in 2022, Christopher Holly, a 22 year old recent college graduate died after riding X two. His brother and his cousin were on the ride with Holly. They struck their heads repeatedly during the ride and were thrown around like rag dolls. Holly lost consciousness seconds after getting off the ride. He died about 10 minutes, 10 hours later. Wrongful deaths. Um, the lawsuit said a CT scan showed he stuff suffered a catastrophic subdural hematoma caused by the roller coaster. Wow.
[01:40:16] [SPEAKER_08] That's why I don't go on anything anymore. No. Well, it's also cause I'm old, but whatever. Um, don't do that. No tip. Well, it's closed now, but it wasn't closed when I found this story. So it's not like I'm slacking off on you guys. I'm doing my work all week long. I'm doing my work. Um, we appreciate it. Work of the Lord.
[01:40:36] [SPEAKER_09] Um, let's talk about AI. Is this a recent thing?
[01:40:40] [SPEAKER_05] Mm-hmm.
[01:40:41] [SPEAKER_09] This, no, no, this, uh, X two. Is it recent that this has been happening? Cause it's been open for a couple of years.
[01:40:47] [SPEAKER_08] Well, there's a hundred lawsuits. So a hundred people claim they got, so I don't know.
[01:40:53] Hmm.
[01:40:53] [SPEAKER_08] Okay. Well, I'd say that was within that two year period. That was 2022. This guy had that lawsuit. Got it. So that's four years ago. I guess. I don't know. Bobby Holly, Bobby might know because he lives out there. Well, who know? He's not. He's too old to care about a fucking roller coaster. He's more concerned about Madonna's welfare. Duh. I know. I need you on board with Madonna. What? I knew him and Clark would have said it was wonderful. Yeah. It was wonderful stars. We had martinis in the pool. But he knows deep down.
[01:41:23] [SPEAKER_08] She's crawling around a card table. She's still crawling around. She's concerned she's going to fall off. Apparently her family had an intervention afterward. You can still be Madonna. Right. But what would be so cool if you want to be cool. Yeah. And you don't want to be trying to keep up with Sabrina and Charlie X 59, 49, all these people, they are 25. Right. You are 67. Right. Right. Come out in the coolest pair of jeans that are kind of baggy.
[01:41:50] [SPEAKER_08] Come out in the kids jeans, you know, the big, the big legged ones with a cool t-shirt and just be cool. But really, she can't sing that good. She's always been more of a performer, a dancer. She, she does, but she bends the curves. I get it. She is.
[01:42:06] [SPEAKER_09] Yeah.
[01:42:06] [SPEAKER_08] Yes. But is singing her strong suit. No. So unfortunately, shares is Stevie's is Dolly's was. Yeah. They can keep going forever. Right. But if your thing is dancing and being provocative, there's a shelf life. There is a shelf life at 67 of being provocative. Sorry, Madonna. I did really like, like a prayer. Wonderful. Love to. Yeah. With the crying Jesus. Here's the, oh, I know. Perhaps he got so mad. Oh, I know.
[01:42:36] [SPEAKER_08] Catholic churches had exploded. I'm like, why can't we have a black saint crying? Right. Black Jesus, whatever he was. Oh, we got to watch that again. Oh, yeah. What is that? The odds of human extinction within the next decade. But he puts it better to 10 to one. This guy, Anthropic. This is Jacob, the guy from Anthropic that quit. Okay. And I believe everything he says, because I believe he's an honest youngster.
[01:43:05] [SPEAKER_08] Number one, these are the way it's going to kill us. Someone uses AI to help build a bio weapon.
[01:43:11] [SPEAKER_04] Okay.
[01:43:12] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. Number two, AI powered hackers take down the power grid. I've said that for a million years. Well, you don't even need AI. Right. But they could. Yeah. If you had people. Just need a solid ice storm. An ice storm. Right. Took down the whole power grid in Nashville. For weeks.
[01:43:31] [SPEAKER_02] Well, y'all just snuggle in. We don't know when it's going to be on again. We've called the electric company. But it's a day like. And they said, just, you know, wait it out. Do you have any friends?
[01:43:45] [SPEAKER_08] Here's the four hotels in the surrounding area that take dogs. What about the cats? I scream it at the TV every time. They're like, these hotels accommodate dogs. What about the cats? Nobody cares about the cats.
[01:43:57] [SPEAKER_09] Why does nobody care? It's terrible. You should start a cat hotel when you retire.
[01:44:02] [SPEAKER_08] I'm doing a cat something or a dog something. I love dogs too. I just can't. I'm not home. And these cats are fine for two days without me with somebody coming over and playing with them for an hour. I don't even think that, well, baby cat cares. Anyway, you could take down the power grid with terrorism. My dad always used to sit around and I guess he had nothing else on his mind and go through all the things that if he was a terrorist, what he would do in this country that are not being effectively guarded.
[01:44:30] [SPEAKER_09] Such fun games for children.
[01:44:32] [SPEAKER_08] So fun for a guy sitting in a bass boat with that. This is what we have to go through. Let's play this game, Kathleen. It'd be fun. And then I was like, well, then we would go into what would your first target be? What would your second target be? I shouldn't probably say all those because I'll sound like I'm planning things and I don't want the FBI at this house. Or AI listening and getting ideas and expediting this to six years. Right. Third possibility. AI gets a seat at the nuclear table.
[01:45:02] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. Fourth. This is the freaky one. This is where the movie starts. Okay. The machine stopped following orders.
[01:45:11] [SPEAKER_04] Oh, wow.
[01:45:12] [SPEAKER_08] Uh huh. Uh huh. Then it becomes sort of invasion of the body snatchers, which is the only one of the only scary sci-fi movies I've ever watched in my life. I've never seen it. Oh, it's from the seventies. The aliens come, the pod people, but they take over your actual body. Okay. And you know, you say on paddles, but you're not. Oh. You sound the same. You look the same. Oh man. Oh, it was, it's a great for all the children.
[01:45:42] [SPEAKER_08] I would say go rent it. If you're a blockbuster. Yeah. Go, go stream it somewhere. It's gotta be. Although sometimes those things do go out of print. I don't know. Invasion of the body snatchers. Yeah. The children probably don't know about it. It is really good. I don't know. It's on everything. It's on YouTube TV, Tubi, Roku, Pluto. No, nice. Go watch it. I'm not sure it holds up to test the time. I haven't seen it in hard years, but. 1978. Yeah.
[01:46:10] [SPEAKER_09] Okay.
[01:46:11] [SPEAKER_08] Five.
[01:46:12] [SPEAKER_09] Fifth way. It's described. A woman complains about her husband's strange mood and then realizes it's not her husband. Ah, ding, ding.
[01:46:22] [SPEAKER_08] And then they would go like this. I think Donald Sutherland was in it. Really? Yeah. I think he was the big head honcho, but. Gotta watch it now. He was the main guy. It's funny. The fifth way is going to kill us is we hand over the keys and can't get them back. This last pathway doesn't involve a single dramatic moment. It's a slow slide. Business and governments lean harder on it to keep up with competitors. Eventually so much depends on the systems that turning them off goes from painful to impossible.
[01:46:49] [SPEAKER_08] Think about how hard it would be to live without the internet today. I'm for that. Yeah. I, I do not find the internet to be making my life faster or more convenient. Okay. For instance. How do you travel?
[01:47:10] [SPEAKER_09] I travel by Delta. How do you know what time that leaves the flight?
[01:47:15] [SPEAKER_08] Because in the old days I would have booked a ticket. You call Marge. I had a travel agent. She had a secret machine. Mm hmm. I don't know. Wow. I don't know. No, it was Louise in Chicago. She was my lady. Of course not Marge. I call Louise and she had the accent in Chicago. Of course. Hey Kathleen, I get some seals on some flights. You might want to look at this. You get, you're going to tell your jokes anywhere like in the South. Yes Louise. I am. We got a sale on Florida. Yeah. And then I don't know, Mississippi probably don't. Yes, I do.
[01:47:45] [SPEAKER_08] Yes, I do. Don't count them out, Louise. Wonderful. So Louise would do travel agency things and mail me tickets. And then I would go to the airport at that time and hand someone a ticket. Now we have TSA. We did not back then. I would walk straight to my flight. No problem. And you wish for that instead of touchless. I do because the internet now, like I was on a flight and their computers all went down and they don't know how to board it anymore.
[01:48:14] [SPEAKER_09] Right.
[01:48:14] [SPEAKER_08] Because we've relied on it so much that they're like, well, fuck, what do we do now?
[01:48:18] [SPEAKER_09] If it wasn't for the internet, this podcast would not be happening right now. Well, maybe it shouldn't.
[01:48:22] [SPEAKER_08] Maybe it shouldn't be. Maybe this should be phone calls to each individual termine.
[01:48:26] Oh my God.
[01:48:27] [SPEAKER_08] Let's use a phone again. An operator. Yeah. An 800 number dial in on a party line. Let me patch you through. How many people can I get on the party line? Can I get a hundred thousand? We're going to do this. Uh, 27 times today. The internet has caused me more delays than it is caused me. I had seen no, when I go to the airport, let's say in my hometown of St. Louis, I don't get to the plane any faster because of the internet.
[01:48:53] [SPEAKER_08] When I started comedy and I did the old school ticketing and all that way faster and I'm not counting TSA. We're going to play a game next time you travel.
[01:49:03] [SPEAKER_09] I'm going to rely on it too much. I'm going to call you every time you are going to use your phone to do something. And I'm going to tell you, you can't.
[01:49:08] [SPEAKER_08] Well, great. When I go to Ireland, well, it used to be sprint didn't work there. Couldn't have been fucking happier. Okay. I turned off that phone and my mom goes, well, how do I know if something happens to you? The same way 10 years ago before phones.
[01:49:22] [SPEAKER_09] Absolutely.
[01:49:22] [SPEAKER_08] If I die, someone will call and say, you know, we found Kathleen's body and you have to figure out how to get back. Okay. I could go, I, me and my cousin, Mary would go on all these trips through Europe and backpack. We didn't have phones. We didn't have maps. We had nothing. We did our research before we went. And then if we need, we'd call, let's say we're there for two weeks. Okay. At the seventh day, we would call home, either her mom or my dad, their brother and sister.
[01:49:52] [SPEAKER_08] That's reporting. Cousin thing. Just call one household. Yeah. We don't need to call both. Nope. We're alive. That's a lot of money back then. We're going to talk about the Pope next week.
[01:50:04] [SPEAKER_09] Okay.
[01:50:06] [SPEAKER_08] This is great. Well, speaking of airlines, here's something I would never do. Okay. I can't. I can't. Qantas has announced the launch date for its first nonstop ever flight between Sydney and New York clocking in at 18 hours. Oh God. Now there's already one from Auckland that's 17, but Auckland's, you know, not as convenient as Sydney. It's going to take off in mid 2028. It's going to cut more than three hours of travel. 18 hours on one.
[01:50:35] [SPEAKER_08] Imagine if you're in coach. There's going to be people getting blood clots and that'll, that's too much. Terrifying. It's way too much. Um, I didn't do this a long time ago when I was supposed to my bad. Sometimes I get a lot of stories and I mix them all up. American idol is moving its production from LA to Georgia. You know what? We, I'm going to talk to Holly Bobby about this. Okay. Because LA is losing a shit ton of shows and they better get it together.
[01:51:05] [SPEAKER_08] And I don't know what Gavin Newsom or whomever the mayor, that lady. Yep. You, you let these shows go. They're never coming back.
[01:51:13] [SPEAKER_09] No.
[01:51:13] [SPEAKER_08] And then all the workers are fucked unless they're going to move to Atlanta, which they probably won't. And yeah, we're going to, oh, that's, I'm saving that one for Holly Bobby. Okay. Um, all right. We're moving on to, um, feel good. There's a good story. This is a cat shelter. Um, Oh, I lost. Wait. No, that's my black commander. Oh, okay. Well I have two. Oh, I have three things. Three feel goods. It's a good week.
[01:51:43] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. It's a good week. We should feel good.
[01:51:46] [SPEAKER_06] It's my birthday. It's your birthday.
[01:51:48] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. Um, this is a site called an Instagram, the hilarious dot Ted. And he, he's, he prints out dog sitter questions to their owner, like in text. Uh huh. Here's the first one. He keeps this babysitter dog sitter. He keeps bringing toys to my bed owner. How many so far sitter five owner. Wait for the doc. That's the last one.
[01:52:17] [SPEAKER_06] Wait for the doc. Dog.
[01:52:22] [SPEAKER_08] Dog. Here's a different one. Dog sitter. Your dog has taken my pillow owner. There's another one in the cupboard. The sitter said for him owner, let's be realistic. Dog sitter. Um, texting the owner. Your dog is shouting at his water bowl owner. Did you add an ice cube? Dog sitter. Wait, he needs ice owner. Well, he stayed in a hotel once.
[01:52:52] [SPEAKER_08] It's great. This is the cat sitter. Your cat is asleep in my suitcase owner. Are you packing sitter? I have to leave tomorrow owner. Apparently that's still under discussion.
[01:53:03] [SPEAKER_10] Nice.
[01:53:05] [SPEAKER_08] I really believe those are real. I do not think that's a, it could be, but, um, all right, here's the feel good. This just made me laugh. A shelter wrote. Okay. So a tortie cat for you guys who aren't cat people is like orange and black, but they're kind of divided. It's a very specific look. This one is a chubby one and she's nine. Uh, a shelter. She's in a shelter. Okay.
[01:53:31] [SPEAKER_08] This, they, the shelter wrote this cat has bitten every volunteer and we respect her for it. And 600 people applied in 48 hours to adopt. Her name is Duchess. Of course. Um, Oh, this is the full listing. Duchess is nine. She has bitten 14 volunteers, three veterinarians and the shelter director. She is not sorry. She will not change. She does not want your love.
[01:53:58] [SPEAKER_08] She wants to be left in a sunny room with food and zero expectations. If this is too much, do not apply. By noon, the next day, it had 23,000 shares by the following evening, 600 adoption applications. People from 12 States. One man offered to fly her first class. Oh, they picked a woman who wrote this sentence. I've been bitten before I stayed. Oh, I like it.
[01:54:27] [SPEAKER_08] Duchess bit that lady on day two. Eight months later. She says the Duchess sits on the windowsill every morning. Uh, now doesn't touch her just sits close. That's enough. That was setty. You can only sit close. You can't touch a little setty. Yeah, he didn't want that. Uh, here's a feel good story. So all that flooding this weekend on the East coast, um, because of the nor'easter.
[01:54:52] [SPEAKER_09] Manic city is a mess.
[01:54:53] [SPEAKER_08] Oh, I know. So, uh, I know Cape May and Wildwood very well because my brother got married there and his wife's from that area. There's a place I've been there. It's in Cape Bay, New Jersey called the lobster house. Hmm. Oh, hi, baby cat. Oh, hi. You're joining. You're joining way too late. Show's over. Almost. We have a few things you want to learn about black history. How about Spanish? We're not staying dumb. Maybe that's why you're here.
[01:55:23] [SPEAKER_08] You don't want to stay dumb. Nope. Um, anyway, there's it's bath time. There's a fun old school restaurant called the lobster house in Cape May. It flooded and the lobsters escaped.
[01:55:35] [SPEAKER_10] All of them. Oh my gosh. Wow. Wow. Wow.
[01:55:40] [SPEAKER_08] I love it. Um, great. Little black history. Uh huh. Hold on. I'm of this over here.
[01:55:47] Okay.
[01:55:48] [SPEAKER_08] Done.
[01:55:49] Done.
[01:55:50] [SPEAKER_08] Done.
[01:55:52] Done.
[01:55:54] [SPEAKER_08] That's a good one for Bobby. Okay. Um, so when you have cataract surgery, old people, you know, you can thank a black woman named Patricia Bath. Nice. She was born in 1942. She died in 2019. She was an ophthalmologist. She received a patent for a medical invention. Inventions relate to cataract surgery include laser FACO probe, which revolutionized the
[01:56:24] [SPEAKER_08] industry in the eighties and an ultrasound technique for that, uh, treatment. Wow. Right. Cool. So next time you go in for your cataract, just remember, thank a black lady. Um, I gotta get, I'm kidding. Oh, I gotta get my thank yous out too, but I have my Spanish cause the ladies want to know what to say if we're in jail. We're going to do that or headed towards jail. No, they, no, they assume they're in it. Oh, they're in it. Yeah. I want to go hang out with them. I know they're how fun are they?
[01:56:55] [SPEAKER_06] Assuming we're going to be arrested in a foreign country.
[01:56:58] [SPEAKER_08] How do we communicate? Well, you don't know what you can do with too much tequila. Anything can happen. Any, so I looked up this. It's a burrow ride. Let's go over just a few things we've learned before in Spanish. Okay. So we keep up our repetition and then as part of our language. Uh huh. Do you have alcohol? Tienes alcohol? Where's the bar? Donde esta la barra? Do you have food? El bar serve comida? See, I'm getting, I'm getting the hang of it. Very nice. What time is check is? Que hora? Ese el check. Uh, that one was too hard. Where's the beach?
[01:57:28] [SPEAKER_08] Donde esta la playa? Yeah, I sound like I know what I'm doing. Uh, there's an alligator in the water. You should be able to say that on the beach. Yeah. I, I own crocodilia and el agua. Okay. I think crocodilia is good enough on that one. Just scream, crocodilia. Crocodilia. Loudly. Um, so those are just a few. Repetition one. What is your favorite food? Qual, qual, et tu comida favorita? Okay.
[01:57:57] [SPEAKER_08] This is for the ladies. A 60, 60 somethings. So if we land in jail, your first question should be, can I get a lawyer? Yep. Puedo concierge una abogada.
[01:58:14] [SPEAKER_07] Okay.
[01:58:14] [SPEAKER_08] I butchered that. Apologies to Esmeralda. Esmeralda. Specifically. Yeah. Puedo, I have to listen to again. Puedo concierge. Can you play it on my phone? Nah, it's too hard. Okay. I'll get it better next week. But that's what we're asking for. A concierge. Consiguer. Consiguer. Consiguer. That's a lawyer. Or no, is the lawyer abogado. No, it's abogado. Ready? Yeah.
[01:58:40] [SPEAKER_01] Puedo tener un abogado.
[01:58:43] [SPEAKER_09] Puedo tener, puede tener un abogado. Let's try it again. That was horrible.
[01:58:48] [SPEAKER_01] Puedo tener un abogado. Yours is different.
[01:58:52] [SPEAKER_09] I did it on my phone on Google. I know. I'm on your Google search.
[01:58:57] [SPEAKER_08] Oh. I don't know what happened there. No, no. This is not a professional podcast. A couple of thank yous and then we're going to do a saint. And then I'm going to do my Ruthie impression because people seem to enjoy that. I love it. I love it too.
[01:59:10] [SPEAKER_09] It's like an exorcism.
[01:59:12] [SPEAKER_08] Very quick thank yous from Minnesota. Madison, I lost a lot, but I love my pint glasses from Kate and Joe. The drink was constantly, I love a drink. I don't know who that came from. Cat calendar, don't know. But I did get it all. And I shared it with the kids if it's shareable. Blah, blah, blah. We already did that. The Oktoberfest lager. Illinois tour rides. Erica and Augustine. The Badger pretzels. Always great. We open it.
[01:59:41] [SPEAKER_08] And sweet mustard. Oh my God.
[01:59:43] [SPEAKER_09] Any mustard. Awesome. Yeah.
[01:59:45] [SPEAKER_08] Illinois tour ride Francesca. She loves, loves, loves Holly Bobby. There you go, Holly Bobby. Did you hear that? Wisconsin beer tea. I love it. Tour ride Cindy and April. Apple wine and cat toys. They love it. They're so excited. Somebody gave them this mouse thing. And even Kato, who usually is very serious. She's not a playful. Usually. Maybe in old age she's light enough. I don't know. And then. She's into it. Minnesota. The art spy book.
[02:00:15] [SPEAKER_08] Cat and have toys. Greenies. They don't. Sometimes they kind of go off greenies. They just get bored, I think. But then I offer them other stuff and they don't want it. Yeah. Yeah. Termite Diane. Local beer. Matt, Vicki, Dave. Oh, Vicki. Oh yeah. And Dave. And artwork. That's Oliver's people. That was great. The hard math tea. I love it. Michelob golden light beer. That was so good. A lot of people don't. I know Kelly never had one. Kelly McFarland was the opener.
[02:00:42] [SPEAKER_08] I don't know if I said that, but if you guys liked her, go look at all of her stuff. Bigfoot teas from Terry. She lives in Memer, or Remer, Remer, Minnesota. A town that declares itself the home of Bigfoot. Yep. Last one. Greenies.
[02:01:01] [SPEAKER_07] There's a couple.
[02:01:03] [SPEAKER_08] Short termites or shore mites. Shore mites. Lisa, Jill, and Shannon. I like it. Thank you guys for all that. We're going to do a saint. Oh, grammar. So we're not saying don't. Let's look a fast one. Okay. Purposely versus purposefully. Hmm. Purposely means on purpose. It is not an accident.
[02:01:33] [SPEAKER_08] You might purposely wear mismatched earrings or socks because you think it's cool. Or you purposely place your arm clock, your arm clock across the room. Oh, alarm clock. Sorry. To make the room, to make yourself get out of the bed in the morning. You purposely schedule the root canal so you don't have to attend a dreadful meeting. Purposefully though. Wow. Purposefully.
[02:01:54] [SPEAKER_05] Mm-hmm.
[02:01:55] [SPEAKER_08] On the other hand, describe someone's actions as purposeful. Okay. Full of purpose or motivated by achieving a specific larger scale. So the example would be she strode purposefully across the room. Okay. And poured her entire Bloody Mary on his head. Sarah's got a very funny sense of humor. That's the difference there. That's great. Let's see the quote. Is it hot up here? No.
[02:02:25] [SPEAKER_08] It's freezing. Really? Mm-hmm. Hold on. I picked a few. Okay. Okay. How about this one? St. Pelagia. Okay. She lived in the year 304. She's in charge of, well, she was an exotic dancer.
[02:02:53] [SPEAKER_09] Wow.
[02:02:54] [SPEAKER_08] Yeah. She's a patron of actresses. Oh, cool. Her emblem is her kneeling and jewels on the ground. This Pelagia, there are a few of them, I guess. Okay. But this one was in fact a performance. A glamorous stripper dancer in the decadent old Antioch. Her stage name was Pearl.
[02:03:17] [SPEAKER_08] Bishop Nonis of Edessa chanced, we know not how, to catch her act in a sermon the next day proclaimed, this girl is a lesson to bishops. She takes more trouble over her beauty and her dance than we do about our souls and our flocks. Pegilia chanced, again, we know not how, to hear this sermon. She confessed her sins to the bishop, was baptized, gave him all of her money, and departed for Jerusalem. Sorry.
[02:03:48] [SPEAKER_08] It's okay. There, in male hermit drag, she lived until her death as Pelagius, the beardless monk.
[02:03:59] [SPEAKER_06] What? I like it. Remember. Remember.
[02:04:05] [SPEAKER_08] This is what I was sent home with at the end of every day of Catholic school. Let's read about a saint. Oh, and then we couldn't, and I'm all into it, but we have to be able to ask questions. She's Ruthie.
[02:04:20] She's Ruthie.
[02:04:20] [SPEAKER_02] I'll give you my money, but fuck you. I'm moving, and I'm living as a male hermit. That's right. I'm going to grow a beard. No, wait. I can't. I'm going to be a beardless monk. Fuck you. What are you doing? What are you doing? We need to get you television. I gave you all my money, you son of a bitch. Now I have to live as a beardless monk in a country I don't even know.
[02:04:50] [SPEAKER_02] Oh, my God.
[02:04:54] [SPEAKER_10] Ruthie continues.
[02:04:57] [SPEAKER_02] I'm living in Jerusalem because you fucking pieces of shit.
[02:05:03] [SPEAKER_06] Oh, my God.
[02:05:05] [SPEAKER_08] Two Dolly quotes.
[02:05:07] [SPEAKER_06] Never tone it down to Dolly.
[02:05:11] [SPEAKER_09] That's funny. So many Ruthies.
[02:05:19] [SPEAKER_08] I had maybe Kat. Oh, she acts like she's been out in a nor'easter. It's been 80 degrees and sunny here. Reflecting on her songwriting process in an interview with American Songwriter, I love getting on a big writing binge and staying up a couple days working on a song and knowing at the end of those two or three days I've created something that was never in the world before.
[02:05:42] [SPEAKER_09] That's beautiful. Yeah. Never thought of that.
[02:05:49] [SPEAKER_08] But this is discussing her career when accepting Music Cares Person of the Year award. We hillbillies may not have sex, drugs, and rock and roll, but two out of three ain't bad. Oh, my God. Yeah. You get a lot of mileage out of that. Mm-hmm. This has got to be for next week probably. All right, Termites. I will see you on the road. I will see you at the Ryman in Nashville. I'm going golfing. Happy birthday. Yeah. What are you going to do for your birthday?
[02:06:17] [SPEAKER_08] I'm going to Kiowa, South Carolina. South Carolina. Nice. To golf. Two rounds of golf. I'm very excited. Cool. And then I need to get back because I have to go again next week. And yeah, yeah, whatever. But Toronto awaits. Yeah, there's a fundraiser deal I got to do in Toronto. And that always is a tad complicated paddles because of, you know, the border.
[02:06:43] [SPEAKER_09] The border. The border. Mm-hmm. You get to see if Pearson Airport's actually as bad as everyone says.
[02:06:48] [SPEAKER_08] Donald Trump said you're one of the worst countries in the world. I know. So you put that feather in your cap. Thanks. And yeah, why does everybody say Toronto's airport so bad? It is. I know I've been in and out.
[02:06:58] [SPEAKER_09] It's under construction forever and well, yeah.
[02:07:01] [SPEAKER_08] It's a major city. You can report back. I will. Everybody says it's not great. What I want to know, last thing, why is the Toronto Police Department, I'm I listen to a true crime. Me and Kelly listen to a true crime. That's all we listen to in the car on our big drives in the middle of the night. It's another one from Toronto where the police are just, Barry and Honey Sherman, that's all you got to look up. Yeah. How'd you guys fuck that up so badly? Profoundly. Yeah.
[02:07:31] [SPEAKER_08] They're acting like they were in Aspen or the John Bonnet cops, like tiny town where bad things never happen. Right. It's Toronto. Small town Wyoming. Yeah. Yeah. Beyond me, but. All right, termites. That's it. Ready? I gotta get going.
[02:07:44] I gotta go meet. Loat door.
