We had no clue the episode would go in this direction - but well, it did. Seeing how both our hosts have a little competitive streak in them, the latest news of a “revamped Scrabble” game has ruffled a few feathers. So, we get good and fired up about that - then we learn that we can’t play Mcdonald's Monopoly anymore because of a mob crime family?? Seriously?
You’d think we would simmer down a bit by discussing some Royal Family news, but alas - Meghan and Harry have entered the chat. How much will Janette pay for a jar of the Royal Jam? Will MM ever get on the American Riviera Orchard email list? And which one of the hosts will purchase the Duchess dog food? Spoiler alert… neither.
Let off some steam… listen to the latest ChickChat on TheMESH.tv!

[00:00:00] What you want, when you want it, where you want it.
[00:00:06] This is The MESH.
[00:00:09] We'll try not to like too much talk over each other but again we are girls and we are
[00:00:13] not talking.
[00:00:14] We agree to disagree.
[00:00:15] Okay, maybe one, maybe one.
[00:00:16] Well, let me make a bottle.
[00:00:17] A little.
[00:00:18] It's not good.
[00:00:19] I've worked out Teeberg, some grease.
[00:00:20] Yeah, I can see that.
[00:00:21] You know she's got that black hair.
[00:00:24] Hello everybody.
[00:00:25] Welcome to The MESH and Chick Chat.
[00:00:31] We're back.
[00:00:33] We were just chatting before we said let's record because Jeanette and I were catching
[00:00:39] up on our children and our teenagers and our rising high school graduates.
[00:00:46] It's gonna be here before we know it, unfortunately.
[00:00:51] But we're gonna stop talking about them because we may break out in tears or anger or laughter
[00:00:58] even at the fact that, I mean I have to laugh sometimes thinking about my child functioning
[00:01:04] on their own in like college situations.
[00:01:08] Like I find that it might be humorous if I was a fly on the wall.
[00:01:12] I'm trying to prepare as best I can the child but some of the stuff I just sit back
[00:01:18] and go, you know, because I'll get the whole like no, I'm teaching you this now because
[00:01:22] you're gonna need to know this when you live on your own in college or after college or if
[00:01:28] you weren't to go to college when you went and did stuff living on your own.
[00:01:34] You have to know these life skills.
[00:01:36] And I get the eye rolls or the mom I know or I get it or I understand whatever.
[00:01:41] If they don't, they don't get it.
[00:01:45] And so sometimes I just sit back and laugh and think about how one day, one day I'm gonna
[00:01:50] get a phone call of the mom you were right.
[00:01:54] Oh my gosh or mom I need help and you know I'm just gonna bask in the glory of the mom
[00:02:01] you were right conversation.
[00:02:04] Oh yeah.
[00:02:05] I mean, get the eye rolls.
[00:02:06] I get the laugh.
[00:02:07] Can you get the eye rolls?
[00:02:09] Oh I get the eye rolls.
[00:02:10] I get the oh my gosh.
[00:02:12] It's not that hard.
[00:02:13] It's not that deep mom.
[00:02:15] That's the phrase I get a lot.
[00:02:17] Mom, it's not that deep.
[00:02:18] Oh yeah.
[00:02:19] No, it surely it is that deep.
[00:02:21] Let me just tell you.
[00:02:22] You don't have clean underwear because you don't remember how to start.
[00:02:26] I'm not gonna just buy you new underwear and you can't just wait until you come home
[00:02:31] to do laundry.
[00:02:32] And you better know where to put your underwear.
[00:02:34] You know these little reminders I tell you every once in a while and you roll
[00:02:38] your eyes and say I got it.
[00:02:40] I got it.
[00:02:41] Okay.
[00:02:43] Do you?
[00:02:44] You know do you because the reason I'm reminding you is because you haven't got it
[00:02:49] thus far.
[00:02:51] So who's gonna be reminding you whenever you're off on your own?
[00:02:57] Nobody, nobody.
[00:02:59] So stop rolling your eyes and figure it out.
[00:03:03] I'm just doing it while I can but then you're gonna have to figure it out.
[00:03:08] You're gonna miss your mama.
[00:03:10] Oh, I tell her the same thing.
[00:03:12] I'm like, I love how you're like I can't wait to leave home.
[00:03:16] I'm like, I'm waiting for that call.
[00:03:18] Okay, how do I, mom, I miss you.
[00:03:22] I can't wait either.
[00:03:23] How about that?
[00:03:24] I can't wait either.
[00:03:25] I can't wait for you to figure it out.
[00:03:27] You know, I mean I can wait for you to leave you know but as mom to mom I
[00:03:31] can't wait.
[00:03:32] I can wait.
[00:03:33] I can.
[00:03:34] I'm gonna miss the hell out of them but like to their face.
[00:03:38] Oh yeah, I can't wait for you to leave either.
[00:03:40] I can't wait for you to figure some stuff out.
[00:03:43] Go right ahead.
[00:03:44] Have fun.
[00:03:45] At one point my daughter wanted to go across the country and I'm like, you'll last a week.
[00:03:50] Yeah, maybe.
[00:03:51] Mine too.
[00:03:52] Mine too.
[00:03:53] Cause clearly you know we obviously people know if you listen before I live on the
[00:03:57] West Coast, you live on the East Coast.
[00:03:59] I used to live on the East Coast and so obviously my older, you know both my kids
[00:04:03] were born on the East Coast and we go back occasionally to visit family and whatnot.
[00:04:08] And so they you know have friends there and connections there and stuff and they've
[00:04:13] talked several times she's said, oh well I mean what if I just went to you know Chapel
[00:04:19] Hill or what if I went to Lenora or what if I went to College of Charleston and all
[00:04:23] and we're like yeah yeah go ahead.
[00:04:27] Go ahead.
[00:04:28] Yeah that would be awesome.
[00:04:29] You know Charleston is beautiful.
[00:04:31] You will love it for the three weeks you're there.
[00:04:36] You know that's I just that will be great until you come home crying like I need to
[00:04:42] transfer because I need my mommy and my daddy again.
[00:04:46] I need you guys in driving distance somewhere you know.
[00:04:50] I mean some of the school she's looking at right now are still you know five, six
[00:04:54] hours away and stuff and so I'm like yeah it's still a big old chunk of time.
[00:05:00] This is not just like I'm sorry I can't get to you for breakfast in the mornings you know
[00:05:06] it's just not going to be that way but.
[00:05:08] Oh I've threatened to move to wherever she goes.
[00:05:10] I'm like I'll just move.
[00:05:13] My husband said I'm gonna need her close enough that I can like be there for a meal
[00:05:20] if she needs like something during the day and I'm like what?
[00:05:25] I don't really know that that's like doable he's like well we could like see how
[00:05:30] that happens and I was like well best start saving up your mileage on Delta.
[00:05:37] Right don't use any of your airline miles because you're gonna mess with your day trips.
[00:05:41] Yeah figure out I know or figure out a way to buy a private plane somehow.
[00:05:48] Or find somebody who has one.
[00:05:51] Get us a little PJ get us a little little private jet action.
[00:05:55] You better start doing zoom lunches.
[00:05:58] Yeah right going to East to it now.
[00:06:01] Um yeah thank goodness our kids were COVID kids right that we're able to
[00:06:05] deal with zoom I actually have a mom friend whose daughter is a freshman in
[00:06:10] college this year and again we live in Washington state her
[00:06:15] daughter is in school in Alaska sounds obviously.
[00:06:18] I guess not that far right.
[00:06:20] I know right that's what I'm saying it sounds like ridiculously crazy far and
[00:06:23] and it is obviously you have to fly to get there but like
[00:06:28] it's not unheard of a lot of kids here you know go to
[00:06:31] University of Alaska or whatever right and so I was talking to her recently and
[00:06:36] I was like oh my gosh like how is it like what you know I know you guys
[00:06:41] were tight like how do you how often do you talk to her like is she doing
[00:06:46] okay and stuff and she said well you know she's like it's funny
[00:06:49] she said when I was in college you know I would call my mom or I would like have
[00:06:54] these questions and I would like come home and bring my laundry or I would
[00:06:58] you know not not see my mom for like a really long time she's like
[00:07:03] we FaceTime like almost every day she's like and it's just
[00:07:08] the way that we chat you know she's like if even if it's just for a
[00:07:12] couple minutes she doesn't call me she just FaceTimes me
[00:07:16] and it's like hey I'm walking out the door head in a class just checking in
[00:07:20] thought I'd say hey she's like so I get this little face to face time she's
[00:07:24] like and it's different than I ever had when I was you know in
[00:07:28] school myself she's like but it's so nice she's like and sometimes you just
[00:07:32] feel like they're still really close by and she's like that's
[00:07:36] really nice you know she's like so I will
[00:07:40] be grateful for technology for that type of reason so she's like it's not
[00:07:44] you know as hard as I thought it was going to be
[00:07:48] because of little things like that so that's a little hope little little
[00:07:54] glimmer there for us right I mean yeah and I was
[00:07:58] so I went to school um in my hometown same and worked at my dad's office so
[00:08:06] I got to see my dad mostly every day I'd see my mom whenever I would
[00:08:12] go down off campus into the town and go to home to do my laundry I made it a
[00:08:18] point to avoid right right in the time I saw my dad at work so
[00:08:22] it was like we were like hanging out but um but I did hang out with him at work
[00:08:26] but um but when I moved to North Carolina like
[00:08:30] after graduation to my daughter like for the first year
[00:08:34] I probably went home twice a month if not every weekend because I was so homesick
[00:08:41] yeah and I was like oh my gosh this is horrible I was like this is probably
[00:08:44] what people experience and I was like 23 right I couldn't imagine being 18 and
[00:08:49] freshly out of high school and just away yeah yeah
[00:08:54] I'm like go ahead kid I will see right I want you I hope you thrive and I
[00:09:00] hope you are okay absolutely but she her whole thing is well I'm definitely
[00:09:05] gonna miss me said I'm gonna call in FaceTime and I'm like okay yeah
[00:09:08] sure but as soon as you don't know how to do something
[00:09:12] or figure out how to use like tip things and
[00:09:16] not have me there to be like because they just swipe cards like
[00:09:19] we go out for like team dinners and stuff and the kids are on their own and
[00:09:23] the parents are on their own and we give them money whatever all the
[00:09:26] parents are like did you tip and they're like what
[00:09:30] how much do I tip like well how much does your check
[00:09:34] you tip 20% of that huh oh my gosh I know I know these are things to keep you off
[00:09:41] of the internet and from getting canceled like little things
[00:09:45] yeah you're gonna end up on tiktok yeah embarrassed but it's
[00:09:52] it is it is coming we're gonna have to deal with it
[00:09:55] they're gonna be fine they will be fine so be it but we have done our part and we
[00:10:00] will continue to and we will still answer the call and
[00:10:04] won't always answer I'll threaten not to but I'll
[00:10:07] I know I'll be like I gotta get off it's my daughter
[00:10:11] yeah exactly stop whatever we're doing right now stop recording tiktok
[00:10:15] and and answer the call that's right yes well we're gonna move on because we
[00:10:22] could talk about our kids all day long of course however we do have some
[00:10:27] important stuff to get to and you and I have not talked in a while as
[00:10:32] usual we like to save up our information for these actual recordings which is
[00:10:38] nice because I get your real deal reaction on
[00:10:42] things and I have a very very serious question
[00:10:46] for you um I need to know what you did to
[00:10:51] celebrate National Scrabble Day on the 13th of this month
[00:10:56] um nothing because I didn't know what to think
[00:11:00] how dare you how dare you National Scrabble Day
[00:11:04] you come from a competitive family yeah
[00:11:08] you and your you've raised your kids in a competitive family
[00:11:12] probably too too competitive but yes okay same same here
[00:11:16] um we sort of pride ourselves on the fact that
[00:11:19] we never let our kids win board games like on purpose like oh no when we were
[00:11:26] when they were little like we didn't let them win because they were the kids
[00:11:32] you know you had to learn how to play and then you
[00:11:36] play the game and if you lose you lose like you
[00:11:40] that means practice and get better right you know right
[00:11:43] I'm talking if you lose the candy land sorry you lose
[00:11:48] mama wins or whatever right like I waited a long time to be a winner at games in my
[00:11:54] life because I have two older brothers and now's my time when my kids were young
[00:11:59] I can win so um but yeah so do you play Scrabble
[00:12:05] do you guys play Scrabble have you played Scrabble what your
[00:12:08] friends grab a lot of years okay I used to play what is that this the Scrabble
[00:12:14] with friends thing whatever it was called words with friends I used to
[00:12:16] play with friends I haven't thought of that in a long time me either but do you
[00:12:21] do wordle yeah daily daily yeah do you share it
[00:12:29] with people are you like a my sister okay yeah we just recently got added to a
[00:12:35] family group wordle chat which I was unaware they did um I've been doing
[00:12:42] wordle for a couple years now and nobody told me they share their answers
[00:12:45] every day not answers but their score every day score yeah I was like wait what
[00:12:51] but um yeah okay so national Scrabble day was the 13th of April
[00:13:00] I can't believe you didn't know that and um just just so you know because I was
[00:13:07] again come from the the type of family that does this we are competitive as
[00:13:12] well it's how we play these games um they're coming out
[00:13:16] they announced on national Scrabble day they're coming out with a fresh
[00:13:20] version of Scrabble and people are a little
[00:13:26] up in arms about it um it's a little frustrating people
[00:13:32] Mattel has announced that they're coming out with a new version of Scrabble
[00:13:36] called Scrabble together and it is a new collaborative version of Scrabble
[00:13:46] basically made so that it's easier and not as intimidating to play
[00:13:53] huh yeah um Scrabble together means that players can have a shared goal they
[00:14:00] can work in teams and there are helper cards now to get a smoothie through the
[00:14:07] experience it's this this is a quote the new
[00:14:11] version is intended to make the game more accessible for players who find the
[00:14:16] original version intimidating this is the everyone gets a trophy version of
[00:14:21] Scrabble correct I'm not sure that is is man up
[00:14:26] figure it out learn how to play the game yep I'm not for it
[00:14:31] do better do better learn words right speak speak better
[00:14:40] fell better no bigger words know how to use a dictionary that's not online
[00:14:47] just look at the internet like there's words everywhere
[00:14:52] read the newspaper read online news I don't care what you do learn
[00:14:58] learn it doesn't have to actually be paper formatted like you can look online
[00:15:03] and learn like the full words not just like these hyphenated versions of the
[00:15:08] word this is that you guys use not like it has to be like okay
[00:15:14] okay and it like
[00:15:18] so it's not a word so not accepting that the vice president and global head of
[00:15:24] games for Mattel named Ray Abler says quote Scrabble has
[00:15:29] truly stood the test of time as one of the most popular board games in history
[00:15:33] and we want to ensure that the game continues to be inclusive for all
[00:15:37] players for anyone who's ever thought that word
[00:15:41] games just aren't for me or felt a little intimidated by the classic game
[00:15:46] Scrabble together is an ideal option you know what I say to that play
[00:15:52] play yachts play monopoly don't play Scrabble I say play charades do something
[00:15:58] that doesn't involve letters and words and the English language how about
[00:16:03] how about if you do charades you don't have to speak at all
[00:16:07] you don't need to know words because words aren't allowed
[00:16:12] how old is this BP I'm I'm this is crazy it says it's aimed at Gen Z players
[00:16:20] oh my gosh yeah according to research released in conjunction with this game
[00:16:25] are the least competitive generation of players
[00:16:29] it's the everyone gets it's the participation trophy kids
[00:16:33] Gen Zers wait are we Gen Zers no we're not Gen X
[00:16:39] we're Gen X yeah I think so I never know I looked up the age ranges because I was
[00:16:45] like who am I you know we're the kids who had to go at it alone when we got
[00:16:49] over elementary school like venture yourself make yourself latchkey kids
[00:16:53] make yourself a snack I was a latchkey kid
[00:16:58] yeah riding the bike to my friend's house I'll be back
[00:17:02] like throw up when the street lights on jumping the street lights on
[00:17:05] yeah um yeah it says that you know there's already
[00:17:11] this is funny that this is the next um paragraph it says there is already a
[00:17:17] version of the game ain't that younger players called Scrabble
[00:17:20] jr and I'm like yeah make them play that
[00:17:24] let let them play Scrabble you play that cat and dog are the words you need you
[00:17:28] don't need to know k9 and all these other things
[00:17:32] you can't play real Scrabble you don't get another version just play Scrabble
[00:17:36] jr that's it do you know your sight words hey those sight words you can
[00:17:40] play Scrabble then you're then figure it out let's see what's next
[00:17:44] monopoly we're like if you don't know how to count money
[00:17:47] you can just you're a partner and you can move the but you can move the
[00:17:51] thing I'll pick out the money it says that
[00:17:57] uh they're going to be putting this new version um Scrabble together on the back
[00:18:07] of all Scrabble boards
[00:18:11] okay so it's just gonna be accessible to anybody like that's also something
[00:18:14] else I don't like like you know what if you're gonna put this out there
[00:18:18] they have to buy it separately like you need to be shamed publicly for it
[00:18:22] like at the target checkout line yeah it needs to be like
[00:18:26] oh you're buying Scrabble together oh okay I get it you can't spell
[00:18:34] like you don't know works this is I get it you're buying this because you
[00:18:40] you're you're scared to play with other people
[00:18:45] you need assistance while you're playing this
[00:18:48] but no but now they're just going to put it on the back of everybody's board so if
[00:18:54] I go buy a new Scrabble board just because I have beaten mine up
[00:18:59] over all the competitions over the year um I have to buy one that has this on
[00:19:04] the back of it and that's embarrassing so I'm not for it I'm
[00:19:09] not here for it shame on you Mattel for giving in to the the downfall of
[00:19:17] education and just supporting um
[00:19:22] gen gen zers on their lack of spelling tests
[00:19:30] who knows I blame COVID I blame COVID um but since you brought up monopoly
[00:19:38] that's funny because there was actually more
[00:19:42] board game news in the news recently than I've ever seen before
[00:19:47] um did you watch Barbie the movie did you or
[00:19:52] your daughter or anybody I got through I think first
[00:19:55] I got through like maybe the first hour maybe my daughter did see it she saw
[00:19:59] it in the theater okay so I heard her whole commentary on it
[00:20:05] my daughters and I went to see it in the theater to
[00:20:08] to bleed into the hype and see what was all about
[00:20:12] um but now they have announced that Margot Robbie who played Barbie is now
[00:20:18] in the works to create and star in a monopoly movie
[00:20:25] in conjunction also with Mattel which I'm like I feel like she's just kind
[00:20:32] of I don't know playing into this Hasbro is also part Hasbro is doing it too
[00:20:40] like is she gonna be like
[00:20:44] is she gonna be in the board game like she was before
[00:20:48] it hasn't really said but I mean it's Margot Robbie I kind of feel like
[00:20:52] she's gonna put herself in it I don't really know
[00:20:57] um it says her company is going to produce it and along with Hasbro
[00:21:05] and Mattel and um they purchased the rights to it blah blah blah
[00:21:12] they it's unclear how they're going to spend the narrative from the two
[00:21:18] dimensional world of monopoly um it's no surprise though uh that
[00:21:25] Lionsgate has taken on the challenge to back them as well
[00:21:30] um because of the success of Barbie it says that
[00:21:39] it says that um Margot Robbie has a quote clear point of view on the
[00:21:44] upcoming monopoly movie um but just hasn't announced it yet which
[00:21:49] which means she doesn't really know yet if you're not talking about it
[00:21:53] that just means you don't really know um so I'm not really sure how they could do
[00:21:57] this but um but apparently there's a movie in the
[00:22:00] making of it um do you play monopoly are you guys monopoly
[00:22:04] do you play monopoly I mean that's a that's a that's kind of a big deal game
[00:22:09] you know that's uh that's a real deal game um
[00:22:14] do you know that do you know the guy's name that is the monopoly man
[00:22:22] you know with the top hat and the like little uh mustache and stuff I know monopoly
[00:22:30] his real name is rich uncle penny bags really yep that's his name it people
[00:22:36] call him mr monopoly but his full name is rich uncle penny bags
[00:22:41] okay yeah just so you know yeah um and um some other fun facts about monopoly
[00:22:50] just in case she didn't just in case you were curious in 1978 neiman marcus
[00:22:56] they um put it in their christmas catalog they offered a chocolate monopoly game
[00:23:01] and it was 600 to buy it wait it was made of chocolate yep and it was 600
[00:23:10] dollars why I don't I don't know that's something that will spoil
[00:23:15] I and and what happens I mean if you do you get $600 worth of chocolate like I'm pissed I'm mad
[00:23:24] um you know on the cards like the chance cards and the jail cards and stuff there's the
[00:23:31] the guy behind bars and then there's the police officer right so they they have names as well
[00:23:40] Jake the jailbird and officer edgar mallory oh so that was he said edgar mallory must be someone
[00:23:50] that they know that sounds like she is sounds like the creator was taking it out on somebody
[00:23:54] that she didn't like or something um it was created by a lady named elizabeth maggie
[00:24:02] and she created it to help people understand taxes oh yeah which I didn't I don't know that
[00:24:12] I've quite learned about taxes no but I mean bravo for trying to be like that I guess it's fun
[00:24:20] it is forever but yes and speaking of the longest game um of monopoly recorded was 70 days long
[00:24:31] oh my gosh that's dedication I mean like hell I'm not sitting there doing that whatever I do enjoy
[00:24:38] and I want to get I've seen the different versions of monopoly where you can get it like for your
[00:24:42] hometown yes so like I've always wanted to get the one from where I'm from in Ohio Athens
[00:24:47] Opoli and I've seen other people get it I but I've always been there forget to go get it or I
[00:24:52] can't find it online I have one for hickory um yep I have hickory opoli um never played it
[00:25:00] though like I didn't really want to touch it but I have the box and I mean the game's inside but
[00:25:05] yeah um yeah so it's you know who knows monopoly movie I don't really know um
[00:25:14] um we'll see maybe she plays the creator this time maybe she just sits this one out
[00:25:24] and let's say this is her niche right now so well like what do you do like with these pieces
[00:25:29] and stuff like I get like if you could have because I think that I believe I believe that
[00:25:36] rich uncle penny bags is modeled after jp Morgan oh okay I think so I think that's who
[00:25:43] it was like created after maybe or modeled after you know and um so I mean I see how they could maybe
[00:25:53] make like a show of like he's you know the penny bags is like a guy that's got all this money but
[00:26:03] then he's got like a business that is purchasing things or something but I mean what does he have
[00:26:08] like a a little shoe that works for him or like a little and a little dog and a wheelbarrow and stuff
[00:26:15] like that like I don't know how that stuff plays out I don't know I don't know in my mind as I'm
[00:26:24] picturing this it's like a bunch of real estate yeah like how do you incorporate the ship and
[00:26:29] the thimble and right it's all just like different shops like maybe this maybe the boat is like a
[00:26:35] travel agency and the dog is either his dog or a pet store and the thimble is a symbol or a
[00:26:44] so shot a tailor or something I don't know and the wheelbarrow is the lawn and garden spot
[00:26:51] lawn and garden yeah something maybe that's because I never really understood just even as the game
[00:26:58] itself like how all those fit in like why they have those like why they have those as right
[00:27:05] the options like what is a wheelbarrow doing on park avenue like seriously right like why is it
[00:27:13] buying Broadway right there's no need for that like that doesn't make sense why is the dog going to jail
[00:27:24] true bad dog why does a thimble get to do anything and where is go
[00:27:30] I why do you get money when I go when I pass go or when I
[00:27:37] why does that even mean there was a fact I saw wait there was a fact it says um that um in
[00:27:50] 2008 3000 people quote passed go online in a world record attempt
[00:28:05] what does that mean what do you like what you just circled around the board like that's not
[00:28:12] hard just keep rolling dice right like you roll and don't buy roll and don't buy and you'll keep
[00:28:19] going around go like I don't I don't understand because now it's apparently it's like a very
[00:28:27] popular app you know it's awarded every day stop I do no you don't yes I do you play monopoly on
[00:28:37] your phone every day monopoly goes what it's called yeah every day I've never even seen this
[00:28:44] what is it what is it like of what do you mean so you have to earn rolls
[00:28:52] Jeanette you play monopoly every day on your every day yeah okay and like you can knock down
[00:29:00] people's structures that they built my daughter plays too so she's one of my friends um my sister
[00:29:05] it's like a community game it is a community game you can add you know you add your friends
[00:29:10] that are like um you don't know just people in the game yeah but like you can steal their money
[00:29:16] they have to pay you rent you can earn shields to protect your properties you can earn rolls like my
[00:29:24] daughter has something insane like 12 000 rolls and you can increase the value of your roles so like
[00:29:29] to earn other things so there's like games within the game um but like you're limited
[00:29:36] to a number of rolls so you can roll one which means like you just get it's like one times whatever you
[00:29:43] land on so you don't but you can build it so like I run 10 times so 10 times I have my power like times 10
[00:29:50] so when I roll whatever I land on is multiplied by 10 so that's how you earn money and build your
[00:29:58] properties and you earn prizes you little game nerd I had no idea did you earn yeah you like you can
[00:30:05] just you earn dice um because as you use them you lose them so like I've been at zero rolls before
[00:30:14] I've been very upset about it but do you actually like purchase property and all that stuff like I
[00:30:20] mean yeah you build your property but like they take you it's different levels so like right now
[00:30:26] there's like New York and Las Vegas and the Sahara and like made up things like
[00:30:34] dinosaur land and stuff like that yeah yeah so you build up all your properties you earn money
[00:30:40] through your rolls or through stealing it from other people um it's called bank heist when you
[00:30:47] steal their money or you can knock down their properties and earn money and then there's a
[00:30:52] community chest where you can have people help you open the chest to win money and other prizes
[00:30:58] like rolls or yeah there's like there's like three or four different games within the monopoly game but
[00:31:06] you have to have rolls and you have to have money to do it oh my goodness it's fun
[00:31:16] I like have anxiety over because I'm like oh I'm using up all my rolls just to try to get
[00:31:20] this prize and I need to stop oh my gosh because I don't want to be at zero rolls you can only earn
[00:31:27] like if you use all your rolls and you don't earn them like you can get up to I think when you start
[00:31:33] out you can earn up to a max of 50 rolls um but then you increase your value the longer you play
[00:31:39] I don't I don't think I even know you anymore like how do we not know this yeah
[00:31:46] yeah holy smokes well look I had no idea whenever this story came up that I was going to come across
[00:31:52] this bit of news today yeah it's fun well I might have to investigate the download yeah
[00:32:00] geez you should be a app influencer like on tiktok all those people being like wow it's it's free
[00:32:08] to download yeah I don't do any in-app purchases but I will try to teach you highly against in-app
[00:32:16] purchases I don't do any of that did you ever play the mcdonald's monopoly I don't think so is it
[00:32:25] a board game when you would go to oh we had to earn stickers yes the little tabs on yes you got
[00:32:32] the tabs you had to put on the board absolutely yes we would go to different mcdonald's on purpose
[00:32:37] and just order something because we knew that they all had different tabs yep and you could never get
[00:32:44] I would fill out all the ones which you could never get boardwalk and park place you could get one
[00:32:49] and those were the ones that won your cars and those were the ones that got the big prizes yeah
[00:32:54] yeah everything else was like here's your free apple pie right here's your happy meal
[00:32:59] you know I mean but no that was like exciting for a while like when they did they haven't done
[00:33:04] that and you should do that again I wonder why they stopped that I don't know it I think a lot of people
[00:33:10] went because it it was like the thrill of the hunt it was super fun to like pull it and off your
[00:33:16] make you would get it off of like large drinks or fries like you had to buy a certain size in
[00:33:21] order to get it and so like it would be like the thrill like we'd be like okay yeah we're gonna drive
[00:33:26] like if I'm here now I'm like I'm gonna drive to hickory and see what I know right like online
[00:33:31] searching like what does this location have we drive to Virginia like yeah I wonder why they don't
[00:33:37] do it I'm wondering if let's see let's see what it says um why does McDonald's not do monopoly
[00:33:51] um oh yeah it was huge I would share with like my sister would get my family would get them in
[00:33:56] Ohio and I'd bring them from North Carolina the ones they didn't have and we'd yes yes people would
[00:34:02] you combine them to do stuff um it said it uh McDonald's created the monopoly marketing scheme in 1987
[00:34:13] um if you got three of the same monopoly square they could win a prize up to a million dollars
[00:34:21] um
[00:34:25] McDonald's hired a marketing to carry out the game distribute tickets uh tickets let's see um
[00:34:39] I think somebody stole money from the game
[00:34:45] how I don't I don't know what they're talking about here that's a dumb article it seems like
[00:34:54] this podcast is sponsored by Jackson creative a custom communication agency located in downtown
[00:35:01] hickory North Carolina specializing in online content creation to learn more visit the Jackson
[00:35:09] creative dot com Jackson creative we tell your story um
[00:35:18] yeah it says in 2001 the US promotion was halted after fraud was uncovered
[00:35:26] um the marketing company which was hired uh failed to recognize a flaw in its procedures and the
[00:35:35] um their chief of security for this marketing company Jerome Jacobson
[00:35:43] he stole the most valuable game pieces justified his long running multi-million
[00:35:50] dollar crime as his reaction to the other employees having rerun randomized draws in
[00:35:58] order to ensure that the high level prices prices went to areas in the United States rather than
[00:36:04] Canada although he did not take the stolen pieces to Canada he began stealing winning game pieces
[00:36:11] after a supplier mistakenly provided him a sheet of the anti-tamper seals needed to securely
[00:36:18] conduct the legitimate transfer of winning pieces he offered the game pieces to friends and family
[00:36:24] but eventually began selling them to the colombo crime family who he had family is playing that
[00:36:34] thought holy crap who he had met by chance at the Atlanta airport what it says colombo would then
[00:36:42] recruit people to act as contest winners in exchange for half the winnings and then in 1995
[00:36:51] colombo appeared in a nationally televised mcdonald's commercial promoting his fraudulent win of a dodge
[00:36:59] viper and in 95 st jude's hospital received an anonymous letter with a postmark that contained
[00:37:06] a one million dollar winning game piece although game rules prohibited the transfer prizes mcdonald's
[00:37:12] awarded the one million dollars as a donation to the hospital um and it later revealed
[00:37:21] that the security guy ceo of security had uh sent the winning piece to the hospital anonymously
[00:37:35] so he's the reason we didn't have part boardwalk or park place yep colombo's father-in-law
[00:37:41] came forward as the winner with a stolen monopoly piece and after colombo died in 98
[00:37:48] in a traffic accident um they found new accomplices to help him sell more stolen game pieces
[00:37:58] so this apparently went on and on and all these different things that he had all these game
[00:38:04] pieces and all this money that he'd gotten and then he was caught and convicted of fraud
[00:38:13] he pleaded guilty to three counts of mail fraud in federal court he served three years in federal
[00:38:19] prison and the trial began in 2001 and then it got overshadowed um because his trial began on
[00:38:27] september 10th 2001 the day before september 11th and then it says in oh it says in 2018
[00:38:42] there were plans for a film based on the trial fraud with ben aftleck as the director
[00:38:50] um and matt daemon in an acting role but there have been no further updates on the film the
[00:38:57] controversy is also depicted in the 2020 hbo docu series called mcmillions oh now i'm gonna
[00:39:04] have to watch that gotta have to find it well screw that guy like so now we don't have to
[00:39:12] play again monopoly i didn't know it was that serious like i guess if you're winning a million
[00:39:17] dollars and dodge vipers then millions of dollars so he just ruined it for everybody like we don't
[00:39:25] get to be in there and we hire someone else to do it like what if it's a different company like
[00:39:29] let's play scrabble mcdonald's scrabble what if it's like let's grab it together scrabble together
[00:39:38] you can have more than one winner because everyone's a winner everybody plays together
[00:39:42] um we can do easy words like prize it says that many of the prizes are still unclaimed
[00:39:52] for example in 2018 25 million instant food prizes were offered in the promotions however
[00:40:00] only eight million prizes were ever claimed and out of 20 mini coopers that were offered in
[00:40:07] the prizes only six were claimed i'm one of those who didn't claim all the food prizes i agreed
[00:40:15] saying maybe like i didn't get like the apple pie or a fry or something like burger or something
[00:40:21] right nobody eats the hamburgers it's always a cheeseburger correct i did not win a mini cooper
[00:40:26] because i would have claimed i would have been one of those yes yes um but maybe i didn't
[00:40:34] may not have to claim my free ice cream cone yeah like you can actually go to wikipedia
[00:40:42] and look up mcdonald's monopoly and it has its own page and what's so crazy is that it tells you
[00:40:54] the property so let's say the property is pennsylvania avenue okay
[00:41:00] okay it'll tell you that or no metatraining avenue here's a good one it'll tell you the code
[00:41:07] because it always had a number underneath it it'll tell you the code so in 2019 the code was
[00:41:13] 101 and the 2019 prize was a 2020 chevy equinox in 2018 the code was 901 and the 2018 prize
[00:41:27] was an xbox one and then it goes through and it tells you everything for every year of what the
[00:41:34] code was and what the prize was on this property if that was like your winning property
[00:41:44] it's crazy bring it back mcdonald's i'm here to roam in his colombo crime family friends
[00:41:51] i can't i can't get over that like freaking colombo crime family was the downfall of mcdonald's monopoly
[00:42:00] i don't even know who the colombo for crime family is but okay it was a crime family like what
[00:42:04] does that matter who cares they have a their own wikipedia page holy smokes like they're claiming
[00:42:12] our mini coopers and dodge vipers and the reason i can't get boardwalk and park place together
[00:42:21] right the um the the colombo crime family just so you know is an italian american mafia crime family
[00:42:32] and is the youngest of the five families like the the organized crime families that are most
[00:42:39] well known um for activities in new york city and um in the american mafia criminal organizations
[00:42:51] i mean okay i mean i don't want to talk about the mafia or anything but could you imagine like
[00:42:57] being convicted of stealing monopoly money and you go to jail and you're like why are you in here
[00:43:02] man i stole money from mcdonald's monopoly but they're like what like how do you tell your other mafia
[00:43:11] friends that that's what you got busted for that's what got you that's what's your downfall
[00:43:19] that's what put you in the slammer was the the tag off your large fry
[00:43:31] how embarrassing i'm lying i'm totally not telling look it was a total crime iced we broke into
[00:43:42] mcdonald's headquarters we stole that stuff i'm not telling my my crime buddies anything of the
[00:43:49] sort about mcdonald's i'll tell you that right now like there's i mean i'm scamming i'm like
[00:43:59] scheming over their like little wikipedia page here about the whole family and i mean there's
[00:44:05] stuff talking about al capone and you know that there was these murders and blah blah blah i mean
[00:44:13] there's like you know their origins are from sicily and they came into brooklyn and then i mean so
[00:44:20] they are they're legit mobsters right and then somebody had to go and ruin it looks like i mean
[00:44:30] one day at the airport just ruined took them all took them all down that one chance meeting
[00:44:34] at the airport took them all down there's like there's like these little family i mean they've got
[00:44:40] these mugshot pictures of all the guys back in the you know very beginning they call them family wars
[00:44:48] which you know they all had ties to the john goddy apparently yeah i mean i've heard of him um
[00:44:58] so yeah like that and it goes through all this stuff they all have um wow
[00:45:05] do you know these people are still like alive like real yeah so we won't talk about them they have a
[00:45:12] like they have a how how does the mafia and the mob have a wikipedia page in which they have
[00:45:22] their boss like the boss official and acting boss listed by year
[00:45:30] on here and says who it is like present time
[00:45:38] like right now the acting president the acting boss is little robert dona frio
[00:45:49] is there like an aura chart yes yes yes there's a there's a boss and then there's a street boss
[00:46:03] that's andy mush russo he became a boss in 2019 after he got out of prison
[00:46:10] and then there's the under boss
[00:46:12] and then there's a secret like we know who they are we're not actually listed as mob
[00:46:22] right that's what i'm saying like how do we know this john goddy was like it's supposed to be just
[00:46:26] like a business owner right right like a family man tony soprano was just a business owner
[00:46:34] worked in sanitation so don't have wikipedia pages why do you have a wikipedia page who updates it
[00:46:45] like does big raffy maybe there's a social media boss skinny teddy skinny tony or maybe
[00:46:53] sally bread some of these names are killing me fat denis he's in the bronx
[00:47:00] oh my gosh i could go in such a rabbit hole on this like they all have the best names
[00:47:08] chicky little dino joe fishy
[00:47:13] the uh larry did you say larry donny shacks oh richie nerves
[00:47:26] sally jigs i just anyone named me here's one they move oh
[00:47:39] is there something we don't know hey there's no one named mickey d right that would be
[00:47:46] incredible why isn't everybody named mickey d they completely should have just named somebody
[00:47:52] mickey d somebody somebody lost that chance right there there's somebody oh this one's good
[00:48:00] this guy's name is hume macintosh and so they call him apples
[00:48:05] get it
[00:48:11] i love it all right so i mean that went really out of context there but anyway okay well um
[00:48:20] um moving on um i i just wanted to talk about those games for a little bit it turned in a way
[00:48:29] more than i expected i had no idea about your monopoly but i sh during the day and i also had
[00:48:36] no idea that the crime family was and was the reason that we can't play
[00:48:40] mcdonald's monopoly anymore whatever um so
[00:48:49] a couple weeks ago you and i discussed we were going to have an episode where we were going to
[00:48:56] break down the princess kate mysteries however it's been solved it has we don't we don't need
[00:49:06] to discuss it we're very sensitive to the fact of that she has announced a cancer diagnosis
[00:49:14] i will be the first to admit that i had some fun going down some rabbit holes of
[00:49:20] conspiracy theories i'm not gonna lie it was a good time bought me some entertainment for a
[00:49:27] little bit um i i believed a few of them could have easily gotten behind a couple of theories
[00:49:34] um i also still am not 100 convinced about where prince charles or king charles stands in all of
[00:49:43] this like how his health is doing and yada yada but each their own health matters are i'm completely
[00:49:53] fine with them being kept private because that is can be a private matter but um i would appreciate
[00:49:59] an update from them at any time just saying easter did come and go and she did choose to stay in
[00:50:06] hiding if you will not hiding but you know what i mean say hi to the other guy so when the time
[00:50:11] comes when we can address that a little bit more and kind of where she stands on things and how
[00:50:16] she is maybe then we will discuss it but for now real quickly i won't keep you much longer
[00:50:22] but i did want to touch on something that i did send you a text message about the other day
[00:50:28] that old megan old duchess has announced that she and harry are launching two new television
[00:50:38] series on netflix did you hear about this from you yeah i didn't know if you were
[00:50:46] going to wrap it whole or not no not yet okay well they have announced two non-fiction projects
[00:50:54] in production on netflix she and her husband harry have signed with the company through they started
[00:51:02] with archwell back in the day the first series that we will see the duchess also known as megan
[00:51:08] markel i kind of think it's megan markel also known as the duchess but whatever um
[00:51:15] it's going to be a show that celebrates the joy of cooking gardening entertaining and friendship
[00:51:22] so is martha stewart i mean kind of i guess so whatever yeah um the second series is going to
[00:51:31] follow the world of professional polo
[00:51:37] okay
[00:51:38] shot harry on a horse i mean shot primarily at the us open polo championships in wellington florida
[00:51:47] the us that's where they were this weekend they what that's where they just were this weekend
[00:51:52] okay well they must have been shooting their shot then too okay so the national polo center the
[00:51:59] series will explore the world of the sport which is known primarily for his ecstatic and social scene
[00:52:08] is that what they do in dirty i mean in a pretty woman
[00:52:11] mm-hmm that's they go to polo right i got a polo match yeah fantastic uh it says this series will
[00:52:19] pull the curtain back on the grit and passion of the sport capturing players and all it takes to
[00:52:24] compete at the highest level that says prince harry has been known to be a keen polo player and
[00:52:31] is often photographed playing internationally so um uh yeah those are coming to
[00:52:42] netflix they're both in the early stages of production um
[00:52:49] yeah i don't know we'll see i don't i don't know if i could listen to megan talk about
[00:52:55] lifestyle and her cooking and whatnot i mean beyond the roasted chicken
[00:53:05] we are gonna need that recipe we do if it's a it landed you prince harry come on now did she
[00:53:12] get cheese in a gardens or i know gardens however you say it recipe right i don't know
[00:53:18] oh i thought that's what she is but anyway um i mean she doesn't look like she eats a whole lot so
[00:53:25] and she's very when she talks i feel like she's very condescending when she's talking to people
[00:53:29] sometimes like just the tone of her voice sometimes and so i'm not sure that i could
[00:53:34] listen to her talk about lifestyle stuff that being said um she has created a new
[00:53:42] lifestyle brand have you heard about this i have american riviera are orchard
[00:53:52] um american riviera orchard and then it says montecito underneath it so montecito is where they
[00:54:02] live santa barbara has been known as the american version of the french riviera she says
[00:54:11] um so that's why she calls it american riviera orchard i did find out that the logo to her new
[00:54:19] lifestyle brand is written in her penmanship because she used to have a job as a part-time
[00:54:29] calligrapher before she was an actress yeah i knew that and so this is in her handwriting
[00:54:37] i may or may not believe it but whatever it's it's very well done it's very and then it's got a seal
[00:54:45] of some sort and it looks very royal to me but anyway that new brand has come out and as of
[00:54:53] like this morning there was a first post released by someone other than her um showcasing one of the
[00:55:05] first products so um fashion designer tracy robbins a photographer or
[00:55:14] fashion fashion designer tracy robbins uh was sharing the first glimpse of the product on social
[00:55:21] media and it's a jar of strawberry jam um it said in the the post said thank you for the
[00:55:34] delicious basket i absolutely love this jam so not sure i'm sharing it with anyone thank you
[00:55:41] em as in thank you megan um and it's a picture of the jar with the text on top of her typed out on
[00:55:52] the reel that says breakfast lunch and dinner just got a little sweeter um and it's a jar with
[00:55:59] like a looks like a little cheesecloth uh cover on top with like a string tied around it and then
[00:56:07] it's got like a very fancy label on it and it's got handwritten 17 of 50 on there so it looks like
[00:56:15] there were 50 jars made and this was number 17 um it says yeah um
[00:56:29] they these people have spent time together like outside um vacationing and whatnot another person
[00:56:37] said strawberry jam makes me happy and showed the picture of the jar she got number 10 of 50
[00:56:44] um and so i guess it's now going out making the rounds to her friends says megan finds the name
[00:56:51] american riviera orchard perfect it feels authentic to her she can't wait for the website to launch
[00:56:57] she's excited about her latest personal venture and this is something that she's wanting to do
[00:57:02] for a while she's excited to share her style and things that she loves basically she had to
[00:57:10] shut down the tig back in the day because she started dating prince harry so this is her way to
[00:57:15] get back in the game i feel you know um it says that in addition to jams and other edible treats
[00:57:24] megan is pursuing trademarks for exclusive rights to sell cosmetic products home decor
[00:57:31] stationary linens small kitchen appliances condiments yoga equipment gardening gear pet
[00:57:40] accessories and more under the american riviera orchard name uh that sounds like it might be a
[00:57:48] lot too much yeah i mean you might want to just call it american target at that point i'm just
[00:57:55] gonna say it's like a i've got makeup we've got dog food i've got jam dishes it's the it's the
[00:58:07] walmart riviera our curtains for you got some gardening shears yeah i i get it like i get it
[00:58:21] but can we like stay in one lane for a while see how that goes yeah like i don't think if i'm sitting
[00:58:28] here thinking you know what i need some dog food i'm gonna go to american riviera orchard saw a shower
[00:58:36] curtain some gardening shears and a and a thing of jam don't forget pick up a jam while you're
[00:58:44] there go on american riviera orchard it should be here in 10 days right and so does megan
[00:58:50] makes up my batch i was about to say i hope you want a 150 or something right i mean i'm gonna need
[00:58:57] to see like who's making this 50 or how many like what if you get one of what if you get number eight
[00:59:06] of 7,850 or something yeah it's i don't know it just seems very bougie to me like super bougie
[00:59:16] so this question what are the prices like and who is really for you know that's that's interesting
[00:59:21] because nobody said a price on there nobody said a price we all know what that means if you ain't
[00:59:28] telling me it's 1999 or lower then i know you're too expensive if you're sitting to me you're just
[00:59:34] like you know what i'm gonna order some i don't care how much it costs it's not for me that's
[00:59:38] right tell me how much it costs your friends are posting it because you sent them a free basket
[00:59:44] of it the ones who can't afford it get the free stuff yeah yeah tracy robbins do you know who
[00:59:51] tracy robbins is she's a fashion designer but um do you know who her husband is is it tony robbins
[00:59:57] no it's brian robbins i don't know what brian robbins is this is this will take you back all right
[01:00:04] brian robbins is the president and ceo of paramount like i do know who he is he was on
[01:00:12] head of the class thank you he was in head of the class he's also the president of nick
[01:00:17] elonian he was in head of the class played the like motorcycle jacket man you know guy that
[01:00:26] shouldn't have been in the class but ended up being the cool guy right yeah yeah i know brian robbins
[01:00:32] yeah yeah so brian robbins is getting free stuff from meghan markel which means
[01:00:38] mary margaret's not getting it i'm not getting any right um yeah so
[01:00:47] just saying it's not i'm not really thinking that it's gonna happen but i will i will do this for
[01:00:54] the show if i find something that is affordable i will buy it for the show let's let's place our
[01:01:01] bets right now how much do you think one jar of jam is now i want you to know i want you to know
[01:01:09] these jam jars are the um are they're not the little itty bitty like taster ones you know i mean
[01:01:17] they're the decent size but they're not the like smuckers size okay they're like the ones you get
[01:01:23] of like if you think about um if you go to like a uh like a deli that makes their own jams
[01:01:34] and they have these jars that you can purchase it they're usually a little bit nicer right but
[01:01:39] they're not the huge jars right that's the size we're talking about okay how much are we guessing
[01:01:46] one of these strawberry like they're straight up strawberry jam is i'm gonna say no more than 20
[01:01:56] okay it can't if it's more than 20
[01:02:02] i was actually gonna say about 25
[01:02:07] okay but we'll i thought it was 25 i was gonna set a limit of 20 for the show but i i might go up 25
[01:02:15] to purchase the jam so i did not buying hardy shares
[01:02:20] or the dog food because i don't have a dog i'm buying dog food from her i don't care how many dogs i had
[01:02:26] i'm not buying dog food from american riviera um i did go to the american riviera orchard website
[01:02:34] which is now you have to add your web or your email to it and then request to be added to
[01:02:43] the waiting list which which i did i did for the sake of the show i did it i'll do it i'll do it but
[01:02:52] i don't know what that means i don't know if that means that i'm gonna get access to the site
[01:02:57] one day or if it means that the site's not ready or if it just means i'm gonna be added to
[01:03:01] their mailing list one day is this a member's only thing hey you know what i want the scoop
[01:03:09] i might not buy anything but jam but i want to be in the know
[01:03:18] for the show of course of course so so we'll see maybe i'll have my name to the waiting list yeah
[01:03:25] yeah just just add your email and that's it we'll see what happens i don't know maybe we can get
[01:03:30] some sort of like seal like maybe they'll send you something that's like you've been approved
[01:03:36] by the dutch maybe we'll get the little jar of jam
[01:03:42] you commoners eat one for one piece of toast
[01:03:50] we don't eat the jam we get the sample of dog food
[01:03:55] you don't have a dog oh well it's edible for humans too it's all organic
[01:04:00] lovely for humans trust me it's good for your hair and i had it for snacks no like it's totally fine
[01:04:06] he takes it out on the polo field um no i just i'm curious i'm just curious like i just want to know
[01:04:14] like i don't know i just i don't want her she can't she's no martha stewart she can't take
[01:04:22] that over she's not opera she can't do that like she can't i just need i'm just curious how
[01:04:27] it's all gonna fall into place that's all i'm not saying i'm hoping for the downfall of this business
[01:04:33] i'm just saying that i'm curious how it's going to actually work so we shall stay tuned for that
[01:04:40] and we'll see what happens but yeah that's our royal update you know which we hadn't had in a
[01:04:47] while we actually have stayed away from megan and harry for a little bit just because
[01:04:51] they just became overwhelming for a little while it was a lot there was a lot of room for a while
[01:04:57] and then they disappeared for a bit and that's fine you know i did love that whenever all the
[01:05:01] kate stuff was going on you know there were little little tiny bits from them every once in a while
[01:05:08] they were like oh well i mean we'd be willing to come back over occasionally and maybe help out
[01:05:14] i mean if you need us you know and i'm like mm-hmm y'all are sitting there waiting you know
[01:05:20] you know you know megan was sitting there going harry just call him tell him we'll come do it
[01:05:26] tell him we'll do it tell him you know we would be better just tell him we'll come do it we'll fill in
[01:05:32] and people will see that we can do it better and then they'll invite us back it's all
[01:05:36] it would be fine tell them we can do it you're not busy harry just tell him yeah so
[01:05:45] anyway lots to lots to follow up on those people that's for sure so all right i've kept you
[01:05:51] long enough i just wanted to chat through some of those things because i mean who else clearly am i
[01:05:56] going to talk about board games with and now i've got to go find this mcdonald's thing on with it matt
[01:06:03] hbomax i had to go find mcdonald's crime families mcmillions mcmillions yeah i'll do that for the
[01:06:10] show too i'll do a review i think we need a review of mcmillions we need a little bit deeper
[01:06:18] dive on crime bosses yes we need a follow-up on american riviera and um
[01:06:27] and then gosh maybe i should maybe i should play scrabble maybe i should play monopoly online
[01:06:37] you should play monopoly online you should and you should get the you should get the team version
[01:06:42] of scrabble and play with your family your competitive family and see how they're doing
[01:06:48] it fights like if we're all getting to help each other and stuff i mean there was a guy online when
[01:06:53] i was reading about this the guy was like it feels like i'm cheating and i'm like oh see i don't like
[01:06:58] that so maybe that's the point you can't help someone how do you challenge someone who's helping
[01:07:05] you but you can't know i know but now they're saying oh yes we want everybody to help everybody
[01:07:11] else jenny so there's no challenges apparently not there's no breaking out this scrabble dictionary
[01:07:17] and find it out if it's actually a word no it's probably just saying oh it's okay it probably
[01:07:23] counts as a word just give you the points nobody screaming out use it in a sentence no no no prove
[01:07:30] it prove it that's like our biggest one yeah prove it prove it yeah um no probably not so i'm
[01:07:38] yeah i guess we need to play scrabble because you know my husband will like halfway through the game
[01:07:44] flip the board over in like a rage of pit and be like we're playing the real way like that's what
[01:07:49] we're doing so i need that video to share you're like jeanette told you look at him
[01:07:57] flip it you know what's gonna happen
[01:08:02] okay jeanette off we go we will have to maybe next time we can discuss things of course our
[01:08:10] follow-ups but we could also discuss things like van der pump rules and the valley yeah are you
[01:08:18] watching the valley i'm watching the valley and i'm watching the news coming out about the valley
[01:08:23] offscreen it's a mess hot mess oh and not only by watching that i'm watching van der pump villa
[01:08:31] uh hulu so many thoughts so much going on so many thoughts that lisa van der pump only
[01:08:40] produces dumpster fires i can't get over it yep so maybe um we have an episode sooner than later
[01:08:48] so we can actually discuss those things while they're still on air for the season yes okay um
[01:08:54] because i've got hot takes you know i got hot i got so many thoughts i got thoughts to share yeah um
