StreetCircleDive welcomes Nathan Huret, Director of Existing Industry for the Catawba...
What the locals know… or need to know. Current topics and classic spots – the SCD crew will break it down each episode.
Each episode we address a local topic, upcoming events, review a Hickory staple, and throw some personal opinions in there as well.
We’re big fans of Hickory, NC and think you should be too.
Andrew Moose: A transplant from Statesville, NC and Lenoir-Rhyne graduate, Moose is the unofficial king of Hickory (at least that what’s inscribed on his Olde Hickory Taproom mug). Podcaster by day, music man by night, rabid fan of the Grateful Dead, Widespread Panic, Phish, Liverpool FC, the Carolina Panthers and LRU Football. Moose is a proponent of all things Hickory, and is triggered by online lists. Moose lives in the Viewmont area of Hickory with his wife and their three dogs.
Mary-Margaret Baker: She’s Hickory born and she’s Hickory bred! A proud product of Catawba County Schools and Lenoir-Rhyne University (Go Bears!), Mary-Margaret left the area for stints in Missouri and South Carolina… but like her fellow co-hosts, she found her way home. With an overwhelming urge to grow her community and make it the best place to enjoy with her husband raise their two daughters, MM chooses to dip her toes in many organizations and civic responsibilities. A small business owner, festival lover, university city promoter, and food truck connoisseur; MM sure does love Hickory.
Michael McNally: McNally is a native North Carolinian who has lived all over the state, but has found his permanent home in Hickory! He has held both paid and volunteer positions in an effort to make Hickory, and the surrounding area, the best place to live, work, and play! He lives in Hickory with his wife (who introduced him to this wonderful city) and their three young daughters (all of whom were born here). Want to know about a local place with great food, or the details on a city initiative…McNally has an opinion on it all.
