Chad’s back in the studio for something a little different.  This episode of “I’m With The Band” highlights Rick Cline – Hickory’s own beat boy.  From high school marching bands, to steel drums, African drumming, jazz and dance bands… Rick has “drummed” them all.  Later in the show, Rick is joined by some special guests who update you on what Rick is doing these days and tell you about his latest venture.  So, tune in and see what this busy musician is working on now!  Lets listen in…

Chad Austin

Chad Austin is the owner of "Chad Austin Marketing and Media Design", a web solutions company and is the lead singer in the band "the Logic", a band that he formed in 1998.  In his music career, he has recorded over 800 songs and written twice as many.  Chad is an audio engineer, music producer and a multi-instrumentalist... usually playing most of the instruments on his albums.  He was featured as a session guitarist in 1992 in Guitar World Magazine alongside Eric Clapton, and wrote, produced and engineered the Logic song "Catalyst", which reached #1 in 2006 on the Broadjam World Wide Modern Rock Charts.  He co-hosted Hickory Daily Record's "the Buzz", a show that interviewed talent from Hickory, NC - including John Reep and Eric Church.  He is also an amateur astronomer and loves good red wine.
