Katharine was a founding member of the Squirrel Nut Zippers, and has been produced albums ranging from jazz standards to avant-pop ever since. She describes her latest album, "Madly Love", as a "blend of Irish blues and Southern-tinged rock". Storytime Station: The Cat Who Acted Like a Dog

This month's Storytime Station book is "The Cat Who Acted Like a Dog", read by Tracy Hall, Executive Director of Education Matters in Catawba Valley. The author of this month's book is Laura Mims. Laura has a master’s degree in education and taught elementary school before leaving the profession to raise her family. The original story of The Cat Who Acted Like a Dog began as an assignment for one of her children’s literature classes while studying at UNC-Greensboro. She currently lives in Greensboro, NC with her husband and three children and works as a content writer for an online marketing company.
